Pros:

-control oil very will, after a couple of days you don't need to wash your face more than 2 times.
-clean and fresh skin
-lights up the skin tone

Cons:

until now none.

I tried many medicine, but nothing work effectively.I even use the mesotherapy.. after I read reviews here decide to give it a try. when I wake up I clean my face with soap then I use half of lemon on my face directly just squeeze lemon on my skin and leave it for 10 mins, then wash my face with water and I use little piece of ice, rub it over my face to stop the stinging and to close the pores, and repeat that at night. I don't use medicine anymore. I highly recommended that if you've oily skin it takes you couple of days then you feel the change, I don't think it suitable for sensitive skin.

Pros:

Fades marks quite remarkably!
Natural so no extreme dryness
No discomfort

Cons:

Stings when first applied but worth it!!
Can make eyes water
Can at first imflame skin then it gets to work!

Definatly recommed, cheap, but if you want something for more drying on acne then i find calamyl more useful (i put it over the top of lemon juice!)

Pros:

Tones skin, makes it look fresh and bright, helps to reduce red marks/discoloration, helped with hormonal acne around chin/jawline, helping to control overall acne on my face.

Cons:

Can sting and/or itch a bit.

Lemon juice- it works! I tried using this overnight, every night, but found that this caused small pimples on my forehead and aggravated some of the acne on other areas of my face. So I tried again and I find that the lemon juice is more effective if it is rinsed off after about 15- 30 mins of having it on the face. I do this once every other day, and it's working! I had terrible pimples and red marks all along my jaw line that just wouldn't go away, and the lemon juice is getting rid of them! My acne red marks on other areas of my face are slowly, but surely, fading more each day- and I do believe it is even helping with my blackheads! This stuff is helping me get my acne under control after six years of struggling with every chemical product on the market! Try it! P.S. But be sure NOT to wear this in sunlight! It can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, and I heard it can actually stain or discolor you skin if you wear it in the sunlight.

Pros:

Smells good
Inexpensive
Effective exfoliant at the very least

Cons:

Stings for the first few minutes afteer applied

I use it every other day, alternating with the sea salt & seaweed mask. I am very fond of this method. I gradually reduces my hyperpigmentation whilst exfoliating my skin, making it soft and smooth. I noticed it also helps reduce my oil production.

Pros:

Using a Qtip I apply it to my acne scars (severe) and any new spots (not too many) and leave it on. Result: After a week saw very gradual lightening of the acne scars. 5 weeks on, a definite difference although I still have a long way to go.

Cons:

Fortunately it did not sting much except for one occasion when I had been in the sun alot (skin ended up red - stopped using for a couple of days). Lemon juice can make skin light sensitive apparently so now I don't use it in the mornings anymore.

Well worth a try but give it a chance to work and dilute it if necessary. Don't expect miracles - in my case it works slowly but marks are FADING AT LEAST TWICE AS FAST as they would normally. Again, I would not advise using it before going out. In the morning I use vitamin e cream or if its sunny a suncream with a drop of vitamin e oil mixed into the suncream before applying. I use real lemons, juicing 2 at a time and keeping it in the fridge. Also in the mornings I mix approx 1 desertspoon of lemon juice with some honey and hot water and drink (with a straw to protect teeth/acidity). In the past I tried many over the counter products which seemed to help a little at first but lost their effect within a week, so for me lemon juice works way better than anything else I've tried on my Afro/Caribbean black skin. Many thanks to everyone who has posted a review - hope the above proves helpful. Good luck.

Pros:

Once I used the lemon/lime juice on my face, my skin felt more smother than usual, and my acne was not so visible :)

Cons:

It stings quite alot for me, because I have some dry spots. But to help, I dilute the lemon/lime juice with some water. I apply it at night before I go to bed (after rinseing my face with water) then I rinse it off in the morning ;/

The lemon/lime juice remedie is working for me so I will continue to use it. I think that if you are looking for a unexpensive (I stole my lemons/limes from the neighbours haha) solution to acne treatment you should give this remedie a go ;) Love ya, Heidz. P.S A good diet, clean linen, Not over washing all helps with acne...remember that. P.S.S Peace out.

Fairly good!
I've been doing this for 5 days now, what I basically do is mix equal amounts of lemon and rosewater and put it on my face before I go to sleep and leave it overnight, first time I did it when I woke up I was like "woah ! this is a miracle !", my skin tone was more even, scars were less noticable but actually still as red/dark as I remember them, my face was a little oily but thats how my face is usually when I wake up, also I had no new pimples which is a good sign ! Unfourtanetly, after that first time I haven't seen any new improvements at all .. my skin is breaking out again, a lot less though .. but still I guess that's due to me reducing my habit of picking and touching my face 24/7. Overall, it was good, would keep on doing it, and would recommend it but not applying lemon only without diluting it cause that may be too harsh for your skin.

Pros:

It cleared everything! Still have marks on my face but those will probably fade if I keep it up.
Cheap!!

Cons:

Stings -- but it's totally worth it (I also don't dilute it so that's probably why it stings so badly)

Okay so I'm one of those kids who thinks that home remedies only work for people with light "acne." I always believed if you have real hormonal acne, you will need a prescription. Well, I've been on doxycycline for 2 and a half months with little results. It wasn't until I started applying lemon juice to my skin that my face has completely cleared. I wish I could have taken a before and after picture because my face looks amazing. I hope that the lemon juice will fade my hyperpigmentation. If not, I ordered a TCA peel that might do the trick.

Pros:

Fresh feeling
Smoothes skin on first use

Cons:

none

Just started using it and it feels great on my skin. All I do is slice open a lemon, dab a cotton ball into one of the halves, and rub on my face. It's a great make-up remover as well.

the most easiest and convenient method for getting rid of acne scars and pigmentation...just takes a while but works wonderfully! I have been using it for like all my life, its better than any other expensive products and its natural , so no side effects!
