Pros:

-Drastically reduces and clears under the skin pimples/whiteheads and the regular ugly pimple.
-Doesn't dry out skin at ALL
-Helps with hyper-pigmentation
-Confidence booster!

Cons:

May make acne appear red right after application but it doesn't last whatsoever.

I started breaking out all over my chin and jaw (6 BIG pimples) after what seemed like I just got clear which was a real bummer and put a downer on everything positive I was feeling. I used this on a whim one night all over my face and left it on overnight and thank god I did because my breakout is practically gone in less than a week. The pimples shrunk and almost all the redness around them was lessened at least 75% after the first night. I also had a few pretty noticeable whiteheads under my skin above my jaw which would have became pimples and this got rid of them in two days flat. The HP literally sucked them dry in two days! Didn't make them bigger or have a "purging" effect at all with using this. Also last summer, I had a massive cystic breakout all over my temples and forehead from a reaction to Redken All-Soft conditioner which had coconut and olive oil in it and clearly my skin did not like it. Luckily they cleared (a few weeks later) after I stopped using it but of course those kind of pimples leave a terrible pigmentation to the skin no matter what. I've had a lot of red hyper-pigmentation since then which had somewhat faded in a YEAR, but since I've started using the HP they are literally disappearing! This has been an absolute life saver to me and I think it would be wise to at least try it out.

Pros:

Cheap
Easy to use
Effective

Cons:

Slight tingle
Possibly not a long term solution?

Im 29 years old and I have suffered from acne since I can remember. I must also add that I have issues with skin picking, thus making it that much harder to clear my skin. Its always a constant battle of trying to clear my face but being unable to stop picking. I have tried MANY different washes, creams etc and nothing has helped. The other night I decided to try HP and I was very surprised at how much it healed my skin in just ONE night- shrinking current acne and lightening old scars. I only apply to the troubled areas and stay clear of eyebrows/hair as it will bleach it. Also HP can be used for many others things... mouth wash, teeth whitener(sparingly) etc. Its cheap, easy to find (probably have some in your bathroom right now) and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone suffering from acne!

Pros:

-works quickly
-i have very oily skin, and this helps rid of the excess oils
-unlike many others, i did not experience any burning
-CHEAP! :)

Cons:

-can probably dry out skin if overused
-(not truly a con, but more of a tip) since everyone's skin is different, others may not see results as quickly
-if you apply a lot, it can have an odor, but it goes away

After reading previous reviews, I decided to give hydrogen peroxide a try as an overnight remedy. It worked wonderfully. I have had severe acne since the age of 9. I will be turning 19 next month. Now, although my acne is not as severe as it has been in the past, it is still a very bothersome issue. I break out the most on my cheeks, and will have a few bumps on my chin. With a q-tip, I applied the peroxide on the pimples I had on my cheeks and chin. The next day, the smaller pimples were completely gone, and the larger ones had reduced tremendously in size. I also paired this with a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream made by Oxy Clean Clinical, so I believe that helped in quickening the process. As a moisturizer, I use a 0.5% salicylic acid cream made by Clean & Clear. NOTE: I have very oily skin, so I have found that products that tend to dry other people's skin out do not dry mine out, but helps control the oil. If you have sensitive skin, I would not suggest pairing hydrogen peroxide with benzoyl peroxide because it can over dry. But, if you do try this, do it moderately so that you know whether or not your skin will react negatively. Good luck to all :)

Pros:

2 day removal of active acne on first use. Thereafter active spots treated were gone overnight. Lightened old acne scars and improved the general appearance of my skin, making it 'glowy'.

Cons:

Hydrogen peroxide is very bad for skin in the long term. I'm training to be a Dr, so I know!
Even now, active acne may be gone but spots take a long time to heal and I'm pretty sure the 'glowy-ness' is the skin's response to damage.

For years I refused to use this because it essentially oxidizes and kills skin cells as well as bacteria, with some potential for mutagenic DNA damage, too. But at 26, I'm sick of having constant acne, blackheads and new scars. I started with 2x daily applications of 6% hydrogen peroxide, all over my face with a cotton ball, once in the morning and once at night. I followed with light Eucerin lotion for the face 2x a day and 10% benzol peroxide at night only. I used to exfoliate every other day but this new treatment seems to have thinned my skin to the point I only need exfoliation 1x a week, if that! Now that I've (hopefully!) got my acne under control, I'm going to try spot treating only as needed with a Q-tip dipped in hydrogen peroxide. Note that a bottle of hydrogen peroxide opened every day will turn to water pretty fast. I intend to replace mine every month. At ~$1 a pop this is the cheapest acne treatment I've ever tried!

Pros:

Works, Cheap, Gentle

Cons:

May bleach hair

Hands down, hydrogen peroxide is the BEST acne treatment I've ever used. I have been on Accutane, Minocyclein, Doxycycline, Tazorac, Aczone, Benzyl Peroxide, Retin A, Differin and all the other prescriptions a dermatologist can prescribe.. along with everything from CVS, cutting out gluten and dairy from my diet. I tried proactive, birth control pills ... I was devastated from loosing my battle with acne until I tried the last thing I could think of (after trying garlic cloves, honey, orange peels, nutmeg.. etc on my skin). Hydrogen Peroxide worked for me. It took about two weeks applying it twice daily. It drastically reduced my acne and evened out my skin tone. I'd recommend it to anyone struggling to clear up his or her skin. :)

Stings a little

Had a pimple in my ear that was starting to become painful (I wear headsets at work), and I saw a suggestion for HP online and gave it a shot. I applied HP to my ear with a q-tip, and the pimple was completely gone a few days later. Had no idea HP was so awesome

Pros:

- Cheap
- Effective
- Clears skin
- Amazing!

Cons:

- NONE!

Well this product was recommended by my friend, I've been using it for a few months now and I can see a difference, my skin feels cleaner and clearer. I don't have any breakouts. The good thing about this product is it helps prevent future breakouts and I noticed it. I had a little zit and I put this on and it was gone the next day. This changed my life and I feel more confident. It's really cheap and amazing!!! I use this all the time, but don't put it all over your face just on the breakout! Another thing is it doesn't have a smell which is good... Clear skin is good skin! :D

Pros:

It really works for acne
It's easy to apply
Doesn't dry skin
No smell
Not irritant
Very cheap

Cons:

can discolor hair/eyelashes

I was suffering with bad acne for over 2 years.I would have 12 active acne on my face at times.I started using hydrogen peroxide 3 month ago and it has made a drastic change on my face.My skin looks normal now .I still maybe 1/2 small acne sometimes around that time of the month BUT it's nowhere near before.I pour some on disposable round cotton pads and put it on my chin/cheeks twice a day.I have not had to put ANY moisturizer on my face for the whole 3 month AND i have DRY skin!! used to put cetaphil / cerave twice before. The only thing I don't like about this miracle liquid is that it can discolor eyelashes/eyebrows and sting eyes .so I put it on and lie down for 3 mins for it to dry.Although I 'd take discolored hair over acne ANYTIME.I can fix that easily. It's the miracle for me.At least try it.

Pros:

Cannot believe the results, I've had acne for a year, it took me only a few days to see results with HP while it took me countless months with facial washes & exfoliating that pretty much have done nothing. I've had HP in my bathroom for the longest time and never thought once to use it. I would recommend HP wholeheartedly! already seen results on the 2nd day + my acne is nearly gone! Just be careful around your hairline and eyebrows, it WILL BLEACH. :)

Cons:

It can bleach hair.

Stings just a tad bit, but goes away after a minute or two.

It can also dry skin, so apply a moisturizer afterward.

I would recommend this product.. it may seem a bit sketchy at first since most people would not expect HP as a resort to acne, but it worked for me. I'm not saying this will work for everyone, since every person has different skin sensitivity. I'd advise you to apply a small amount on your face and see how it reacts to the product.
