Pros:

Very gentle, doesn't dry skin, can be used to remove makeup on eyes without burning (that's my favorite part!). You can practically wash your eyeballs with this stuff it's so gentle!!

Cons:

Your skin won't feel squeaky clean.

This stuff is awesome and Walmart sells generic brand.

Pros:

It really leaves my skin feeling soft.
I have sensitive skin, so it doesn't irritate my skin or anything like that.
I like purchase this stuff at Costco, cause its $15 bucks for two huge bottles, and each bottle last me for three to four months

Cons:

I haven't got a chance to renewed my costco card, so I had to go buy it from Wal Mart which cost $10 bucks for a koo size bottle.
It ran out, so I bought the Cetaphil thats for oily to normal skin, & that made me breakout.

Cetaphil does work for me, but not the oily to normal skin. If you have sensitive skin like me, try it, and you might like it. My skin was completely cleared until it ran out on me, and I had to use the oily to normal skin. But I'm going to renew my card for Costco & purchase the original Cetaphil.

Pros:

It seems to do the trick. I can't be entirely sure how well it's working, since a lot of it might be due to the antibiotics.

Cons:

Somewhat oily feel when I put it on. I use water with it. It's extremely expensive - it must be because it's shipped over here (New Zealand).

I have not tried it without water, and the idea that you only need a "pea sized amount" is new to me, so I'll try it. The price I gave is what it cost for 500 ml (about 16 fl. oz.).

Pros:

Gentle, fragrance free, and cheap. It's available in almost any store that carries hygiene products, and best of all, generic brands are available with the exact SAME active ingredients, for half the cost!!!

Cons:

No lather, but once you get used to that, it's all good!!! In fact, once you get used to it, lather feels weird.

Use it!! You won't be disappointed. I've been a faithful Cetaphil consumer (who has battled nodular & cystic acne) for at least 5 years. I have tried all of the different Cetaphil cleansers and soap bars. My favorite is the "gentle skin cleanser". I use the Cetaphil moisturizer as well (I have not found a genric for that). It has SPF of 15. I also add Neutrogena sunscreen that contains SPF of 45. I have not been sunburn on my face in many years. THANK YOU CETAPHIL!!!!

Pros:

Does not dry out skin and has greatly improved my complexion.

Cons:

At first the absense of foaming lather was a bit awkward, but it is easy to get over if the product helps your skin.

Like all products Cetaphil will not work for all skin types. My skin is sensitive and prone to dryness. I tried many different products to rid myself of acne to no avai. I finally realized that my dry skin was actually the problem. I was using drying acne medications that only further dried out my skin, which made my skin produce more oil to combat the dryness, resulting in more acne. Of course Cetaphil alone will not solve all your problems. You also need to exfoliate a few times a week. I would recommend a gentle exfoliator and if you are going to apply a topical acne treatment after washing your face follow up with some light non-greasy moisturizer. One product is not going to be your cure-all. If you wear makeup I'd also recommend wearing a tinted moisturizer vs liquid foundation or compact powder. And never wear your makeup to bed! Also if you are interested in using Cetaphil as a makeup remover I recommend you purchase the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser.

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

Cetaphil used to work wonders for me. I had clear, soft beautiful skin - now my skin is constantly breaking out in cystic acne. It's painful and I look like hell.

Cons:

No longer works.

If it works for you use it until it stops. But once your skin starts breaking out give up and move on to another product.

Pros:

It's affordable, has no fragrance, easy to use.

Cons:

- Contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, a known irritant
- It irritated and dried out my skin even more(I have dry skin)
- Acne got worse

I was one of the unlucky ones, I guess. Try it out for a week or so to see if your skin reacts badly to it. My skin started getting worse approx. 1 month after using this product. Before that, there wasn't much change at all. I ditched this for Olay Moisture-Balancing Foaming Facewash and it works much better [for me].

Pros:

-Lightly Moisturizes dry skin from topical medications.
-no smell, few ingredients, leaves skin feeling clean and soft
-It's good for people who are active and need to wash their face a lot because it's not harsh and won't overactivate sebum g

Cons:

-when you wear makeup you have to wash your face twice.

I LOVE THIS CLEANSER. I use the Kroger brand from Smiths because it's cheaper (it's basically the same thing) I use it injunction with my dermatologist's topical treatment (Clindamycin Solugel 4) and the topical treatment leaves my skin really flaky sometimes but this cleanser really softens it up and really helps my skin retain it's natural moisture without breaking out. Plus you can find it ANYWHERE. two thumbs up.
