Cetaphil : Gentle Skin Cleanser

I was pestered into trying this product. It did not work (even slightly) for my skin type. Kind of expensive too, for what it is. Also, the ingredient list scares me. Years after trying Cetaphil, I am using a different product that has natural ingredients and it works for my skin. I have a friend that swears this product works for her, but she also has very decent skin in the first place!

I just love this stuff, iv been using it for a year now and iv never been so crazy about a facial wash before. Iv tried everything in the past, most either caused dryness or too much moisture. Perfect balance!

Check this out you guys!!! I found a walgreens version with EXACTLY the same ingredients as the cetaphil product, $5.99 but buy one get one free right now at walgreens. The lotion is also BOGO and $4.99 I think it was. I have been using these products in conjunction with a 2% BP gel by clean and clear (which I also got at walgreens) .75 oz for $4.99. This stuff is GREAT! No stinging or discomfort at all. It has aloe and chamomile in it so its super gentle on your skin and works awesome. I have been using this regimen for only 4 days and already my skin looks clearer, scars and red marks are going away, pimples that had started before treatment are getting smaller with every treatment. And this is RIGHT after my monthly cycle (I usually have the WORST breakouts right now.) NO new pimples have showed up at all. Price shown below is all the products totaled up. I just started using this product and it works really good. After I wash my face my skin feels so clean.

With acne ridden sensitive skin, ive tried every cleanser under the sun. I used to think the stronger the 'clean' the better - using strong exfoliants and cleanser. Bad idea. Even the so called 'moisturising foaming' washes somehow managed to dry out my skin. The end result - tonnnes and tonnes of new spots and blemishes. Cetaphil however is different. It basic, gentle and gives a good clean without all these unnessecary 'active' ingredients. The great thing is i can be used in conjunction with a 5% benzoyl peroxide with minimum dryness. At the end of the day, for acne-ridden skin, the gentler the cleanser, the better.

Yuck, I hate this cleanser. It does nothing for oily skin. It doesn't feel like it cleans the face at all it just seems to cover your face in thick, goopy moisturizing liquid. This products poor cleaning ability is demonstrated by it's inability to remove any makeup whatsoever. After using this cleanser your face feels soft....but dirty! Yuck!

The first time I used this, my face broke out horrible. Second time, I had the break outs plus an allergic reaction in my eyes. The good news is it has only a few ingredients, so it will help me pinpoint the exact ingredient that I'm allergic to.

I think by far this product works the best for me. I have dry sensitive skin, and have tried so many other products which didn't really work. Cetaphil is gentle on my skin, and does not make my skin feel tight after wash. It's important to consider this point when choosing whether or not a product works for you. A suitable cleanser should not make your skin feel tight after wash. If it does, then it's probably too drying. Cetaphil also helps me manage my acne. I'm not saying it makes my acne completely gone, but it does relieve one way or another. I still got ocassional breakout, but washing my face with Cetaphil definitely helps relief the acne. Highly recommended product for people who have dry/sensitive skin.

I have been using this product for 5 years on and off. It is the best cleanser I have tried! I love Cetaphil.
