Pros:

- gentle
- cleans face well (doesn't completely take off eye makeup)
- smells good
- comes in a pump bottle
- doesn't overdry face

Cons:

- not anything really except maybe for the packaging. Water can get in the bottle if left in the shower

I really like this cleanser. It's really gentle and gets your face clean. Doesn't burn or sting your face at all. A really simple, basic cleanser. Very good :)

Cons:

Dried out my skin

When I first started using this product I noticed the fragrance was very familiar. I realized it was baby wash! I have two kids so I know what baby wash smells like. I immediately grabbed a bottle we had on hand and compared the ingredients from both cleansers and sure enough, they both have the same ingredients. I'm sure the "facial cleanser" is gentle for most but this just totally dried out my skin. Needless to say, I returned this expensive baby wash to Duane Reade. Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash (made by Johnson & Johnson) ingredients: Water , PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate , Sodium Laureth Sulfate , Cocamidopropyl Betaine , PEG-150 Distearate , Sodium Lauroampho PG-Acetate Phosphate , Fragrance , Quaternium-15 , Tetrasodium EDTA Johnson & Johnson No More Tears Baby Wash ingredients: Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Glycerin, Lauroamphoglycinate, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, D&C Yellow #10, D&C Orange #4.

disappointed
I have oily skin I used it for about 3 months and at first it looked like it was helping my acne but after that it didn't do much. It didn't treat the acne I had and didn't prevent new acne. I think it actually also dried out my skin too. So I was really disappointed with this product.

Pros:

Gentle, doesn't dry out your skin
Removes makeup
Cheap

Cons:

The bottle is a poor design

This is a great cleanser to use morning and night along with any other acne treatments. I've tried a lot of different face washes, and I always go back to this because it works so well. You can't leave it in the shower or else water will get in and dilute it. If you travel, you have to put it in a different bottle or else it will drip over everything in your suitcase.

Pros:

Very gentle, wonderful clean scent, inexpensive, light texture, washes off completely, and takes off make up easily.

Cons:

None!!

I've never found a better facial cleanser--and I've tried just about everything from really expensive department store brands to cheap drugstore washes. This is one of those...but the results are worth a million! The lightness and fragrance remind me of having my face cleansed at high-end spas. This wash is GENTLE! I've been using it for a month or so and my skin hasn't looked this great since I was in my 20s (I'm 50 now). My skin tone is almost perfect now--all I wear most of the time is sunscreen and I'm good to go.

Pros:

AWESOME

Cons:

Works very well, very gentle

I have tried many cleansers for my moderate to severe acne face, until now I thought I needed a really powerful cleanser to clean my oily face. Now I know better, I was skeptical of this product being too gental but I have been using for 2mo now and am very very happy with it. Highly recommend to anyone!

Pros:

This is the best cleanser ever. It does what it says, very gentle, especially to sensitive skin. I tried other cleansers that claim to clear breakouts and redness but they only make it worse. I will always use this. It gets rid of the oil without overcleansing. My face has never looked this good. Thank You Johnson & Johnson for coming up this product.

Cons:

ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!!!

You have to try this product.. believe me when I say.. you will NEVER use a different cleanser again after you try this.

Pros:

gentle, not drying, smells clean, inexpensive, works GREAT!!!

Cons:

As many said...the bottle sucks, water gets in it, when I travel it leaks....SOLUTION: by a bottle to put the cleanser in. =)

I love PURPOSE my whole family uses it. It is great for my sensitive skin, when I was using it with other products it still worked great....but I only now use it by itself. Give it a try, see if you like it. Most people do =)

Ingredients change :(
I've been using this product for years and have always loved it. I just bought a new bottle and this one has a strong fragrance. I looked at the ingredients from my old bottle vs. this bottle and indeed ingredients have been added. I definitely prefer the non fragrant version of the past. What happened?

Pros:

*Very gentle
*non drying
*can be used the Rx meds

Cons:

*decent at removing makup
*not medicated, so would try using another wash post-workout.

Well, i think think this is a tried and true face wash, i have used with all my rx meds and has never once irritated my skin. I have even been using it the past few months with my clarison and that gets the makeup out better, since the wash on its own isn't so good.
