It works
I never have hope any more of anything working for my acne but this helped my skin. It's less oily, smoother and fewer pimples. I crushed it and mixed it with olive oil. I left it on my face for about 10 minutes. It never turned my face red or made it dry. If you try it just do a small patch of skin. It does have a burning feeling when it was on my face but after I just put aloe vera on my skin.

Pros:

cheap
effective

Cons:

none

I tried this after reading the other reviews on this site. I was pretty desperate for something to work and this worked pretty well! My acne is hormonal, and is confined to my chin only...I've just started on the pill (so the results I've seen could be due to that as well) but I've been using BP for about a month and found that it really wasn't effective in preventing new lesions from forming. I took one clove per day, crushed in water, for two days and have been taking 2 odourless capsules per day since. I'ts been about a week and I have NO new lesions (and none forming under the surface either!!) and all existing zits are healing up.

So many people take the pill and don't realize how horrible it is for your health! It hurts more than helps. There are so many more natural ways to fix acne.

Pros:

worked quick, had no side effect, and its all natural

Cons:

makes you stink, but its well worth the outcome.

garlic has worked great for me i barely get any pimples now, i use to get really bad skin around my period it was even worse it was horrible, i had tried everything antibiotics, skin creams/washes.. you name it i tried it.. and so far garlic has been the best thing i have tried i swallow a clove in the morning cut a clove in half at night and just rub the juice on the infected areas wash my face in the morning and have to teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and never wash my face with any harsh products all natural is the way to go, and it has been the best thing i have done. it never burnt my skin or gave me marks. the trick is not to over do it dont mince the garlic and put it on just cut it in half and rub it on. has worked great for me hope it does for you too :)

Pros:

Cheap. Very effective antibiotic. Also great for a strong heart.

Cons:

Very strong smell and flavor.

I love garlic. I use this instead of antibiotics, as I do not believe in them. I started using garlic back in 2007 when I got an ear infection. I decided to take garlic and see how it would help. Did wonders. Since taking it, I've never been sick or had another infection. I would like to point out that garlic is not soley responsible for this, so don't think it's a miracle cure. For acne, take 1-2 cloves a day. Crush it up to release the juices. Mask it with something if the taste is too strong for you. I don't need to do this. While I apply it topically, I don't suggest it for everyone. It can burn your skin.

Pros:

It is super effective, especially as a spot treatment.
Cheap and available anywhere.
Natural.

Cons:

Burns.
Might not be preventive (depends on how you use it)
Smell.

I tried this on a painful pimple, the one thats a bump that hurts if you try to touch it. I put garlic juice on it and as I don't really have sensitive skin, it didn't burn too bad, just some tingles. The next morning, the pimple went down DRAMATICALLY. Like, from this point you don't have to spot treat it anymore and it'll pretty much go away on its own. It perfect for treating spots, better than the Clinique Acne Solutions one I had. I also ate garlic. Basically, I crushed it and swallowed it with water so it wasn't bad. For one or two days, I had absolutely clear skin, although I'm not sure if this had anything to do with garlic. Then pimples started to sprout. So I guess you could get garlic and rub it all over your face if you want clear skin. I didn't try this as I didn't want to smell like garlic (my sister told me I smelled like garlic after spot treating) but I'm think it could work if you don't mind the smell. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin, I don't and it did sting to some degree.

Pros:

garlic is tasty! Quick results, very cheap, completely natural.

Cons:

maybe the smell, but i don't mind it.

A friend told me about it a couple weeks ago as i was having a severe breakout. I've been eating anywhere from 1-8 cloves a day, almost always raw. within 3 days I noticed a rapid acceleration in my skin healing (also use aloe vera topically) within 8 days or so i saw no new pimples and my skin tone completely evened out (sometimes i get red irritated patches of skin on my face). Thanks to garlic I can now enjoy life in its fullest without having to worry if it will cause acne-garlic protects me!

Can't live without Garlic!!!
Skin type: oily, sensitive, acne prone skin Acne: moderate Been taking 2 cloves of garlic for about 2 weeks now and I noticed if I do get a pimple, it only lasts up to 2days max and heals so fast! Whereas before I started taking garlic, my acne would swell for 5-7days and would heal so slow... What I do is I mince the garlic then chew it for a few seconds then I swallow it with water Acne free for 3days now.
