Pros:

Fast, Effective, Natural.

Cons:

Smells, Stings, Could lead to burns

i usually wet my face and rub a clove i cut in half on it a couple of times a day. I read about the burning and brown marks, and so i didnt want to risk mincing it and leaving it on for too long. So far it's been working, even thought it's just a little. My acne is pretty bad and builds an immunity to anything i've tried so far. i think tomorrow i'll try a quarter of a clove of minced garlic along with a tbsp of lime juice and some honey, and see how that goes. >_<

Pros:

if internally consumed on a full stomach and followed with chewing cardamom, i've heard it can greatly reduce acne

Cons:

burns, stings and smells if used topically.
gives heart burn and other heat inducing side effects if consumed wrongly..

I havent used it, but i remember my friend did. She came to school and she smelt funny. When we asked she said she experimented with minced garlic and applied some to her body, securing it with a cloth. Thankgod she was so optimistic and cool about what it did to her. I would have died. She didnt have acne so that was good but she broke out in red painful boils in her chest and shoulder area and the skin was swollen. this went away after a day or so, but if garlic does that to someone without acne, imagine what it does to people WITH acne.. consume internally please and with care. its quite risky so think about it..

Pros:

-Helps get rid of pimples, discourages breakouts and blemishes.
-Works really fast!

Cons:

-It has a terrible smell!
-Can burn a bit.

I have used many acne products. I have dry acne-prone skin, so most acne products dry my skin too much. Garlic has worked for me pretty well. But if you apply topically, make sure to mix it with something else. I crush one clove of garlic and mix it with 1-2 Tsp. of raw honey. The honey gives my skin some moisture and makes it so the garlic does not burn my skin. ONLY leave it for 10-20 minutes! If you leave it on for too long it might burn your skin. Garlic can leave your skin a little bit red, but it gets rid of acne really fast.

Pros:

It will dry up your pimple or cyst quickly

Cons:

will burn your skin and leave brown burnt blemishes

I had a hard bump on my face more like a cyst. I was deperate to get rid of it. I applied a clove of fresh crushed garlic to the affected area and put a bandaid over it to secure it in place. The stinging was so much that after like 4 minutes I removed the bandaid and the piece of garlic off my face and the sting was significantly reduced, I did not wash my face because I felt that the garlic was really penetrating and I could almost feel it breaking down and shrinking the cyst on my face, so I left it on overnight to give it plenty of time to work. The next day when I saw my face in the mirror I had this huge brown spot on my face as if I had burnt it with oil or something. It has been one month now. the burnt has completely healed but I now have this horrible brown blemish on my face that still remains and I don't know how to get ridd of it? Does anyone know how to get rid of the brown marks left by this garlic burnt?

GARLIC DOES WORK. By applying the juice of one crushed garlic clove for two nights straight my acne had reduce and my skin had cleared up very nicely, when it was applied yes, it sting and smell, i kept it on for about 5 mins or more then wash it off. i have read some of the horrific stories about garlic being applied to the face, but my opinion to that is, garlic does wonders for the dark complexion (brown, black)most of the horrific stories came from light complexion individuals, maybe your skin is too sensitive for such a harsh herb or try it internal not external.

Pros:

Got rid of my pimple

Cons:

It burned/stung my skin and left a red blotch/burn that didn't come off for a couple weeks (eventually it turned purple and went away...)

No, I wouldn't use it. It burned my skin BUT it removed the pimple (although I basicly traded off the pimple for a red blotch....not much of a diffrence! LOL) and it also stings. I hear it works of lots of other people though!

Pros:

Its a natural anti-biotic

Cons:

Some are offended by the smell

The best to take garlic is to absorb it thru the skin. When you eat it the digestive acids in your stomach neutralizes the anti-bacterial agents in the garlic rendering it useless. When you rub it on your skin it goes right thru the skin to your blood to clean it with out passing thru the digestive system. Makes since? This is how I'm going to try it for my acne: Mash 3 cloves and let them sit at room temperature for 15 min. Add 1 cup(varies) water to dilute because it is strong. Leave it at room temperature for up to a couple of days then refrigerate. After adding the water wash your face and use a cotton ball to apply garlic water to your face like and astringent. I'm gonna do it before bed and whenever i'm not going out. I hope those of you who didn't have a good experience the first time, try it again the correct way. Good luck P.S.
