Pros:

-Leaves skin soft and smooth
-Diminishes appearance of pores
-Helps combat breakouts

Cons:

-Is rough on your skin, but it IS an exfoliant, so...
-My skin started breaking out again when I stopped using it as frequently.

I have oily/sensitive skin and a tendency to react really badly to BP. For anyone out there who is similar in any fashion, I would definitely recommend St. Ives Apricot Scrub because it smells AWESOME and gets the job done. I always apply a light moisturizer after though, because I lived in the Southwest when I first started using it and moisturizer is not an option there, it is a necessity, so I can't say whether or not it is too drying. Seems great as long as you moisturize!

Pros:

My skin felt so soft and clean. It has cleared up my moderate acne.

Cons:

It could make your skin dry if you have sensitive skin.

I have tried products such as ProActiv and Murad, but nothing has given me the results that using Apricot Scrub has. You have to make sure to to moisturize (preferably with oil free moisturizer). My face has cleared up. My best friend has also used apricot scrub with the same results. It is a miracle. I use it 2 times a day- morning and night. I am 20 years old and this is the FIRST thing that has actually worked for my skin.

Pros:

fresh feeling
give a really good clean

Cons:

may hurt a bit in the first scrubs

the bottom line is that this is an amazing product. a friend of mine with severe acne like me recommended it to me when his face was CLEAN. i have been using for 6 straight months since i can't go see my dermatologist anymore. my acne is 70% gone, which is a lot if you have it bad. i use it 3 times a day because i sweat a lot and i have really oily skin. my skin has never dried and always feels good. it definitely makes a difference and i highly recommend it!

Pros:

-not too rough
-smells like tangerines!
-feels nice

Cons:

none!

i love this stuff! i've been using it for a few weeks now, and my skin is soo smooth! i use it in the shower about 3-4 times a week. i have been using dan's regimen for so long and i'm acne free except for the occasional pimple, and this is just great for exfoliation. and if you have a minor breakout, dont be afraid! this wont hurt or irritate you. just be gentle, i find that it works great with a bit of acne or none at all. bottom line, this makes our skin sooo smooth and soft! i love it! i will definitely repurchase and stock up!

Pros:

It leaves your skin feeling absolutely smooth; it's done wonders for me--I've even received delightful comments about how clear my face has become. I look forward to washing my face before sleeping. St. Ives leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth =]

Cons:

occasional dry skin, but can be fixed with light-weight lotion (Jergens Original Scent).

PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! You're seriously missing out, I've been using this product for 3 months and it's simply amazing.

Changed my skin!
I swear by this face wash. I was having an extremely difficult time with my skin after switching my pill almost a year ago, and for about 6 months my skin was a disaster. I have been on accutane twice and was really hoping I would not have to go back on it, but I was starting to really get depressed with my skin and was trying so many different things. I had used St. Ives after my second round of Accutane and I didn't really think it did much because my skin was flawless and rubbing oil on it wouldn't have caused a breakout. I decided to try it again and it has been a miracle! I only use it at night and then just rinse my face with water in the morning and it's not greasy during the day at all. I found morning and night washing was drying it out too much, and lotion was causing more breakouts. I should also note that another thing helping my acne right now is Red Light treatments from my derm. I haven't seen much on the forums about Red Light specifically, only Blue Light and it seems that most people are not happy with it. Red Light is awesome! Last time I was there actually my dermatologist was asking me what my mood was like after the treatments and about headaches, which I usually get a lot of and she was saying that she wants to possibly open a study on it because the Red Light has been improving peoples moods dramatically after the use for about 24 hours and is even helping with migraines in some people. Who would have known! It is also 100% safe!

Pros:

I have used this product for over 30 years, a few times a week in the shower. I am 67 and have few wrinkles and can say this is the only product I have used this long.

Cons:

None, except it now only comes in the tubes. I liked the big jars.

Until I am dead, I will use this product.

Great for back and chest
This was too rough to use on my face (which is unusual because I do not have sensitive skin), but worked GREAT to clear up the acne on my back! If you suffer from back acne exfoliate with this every time you are in the shower. I saw a significant difference and while I used to have multiple large blemishes on the backs of my shoulders the skin is now smooth, with only one or two small bumps. It also keeps my chest clear. In conclusion: too rough for facial skin but great for chest and back exfoliation!

Love this stuff!
I bought this in hopes that it would remove all the dry skin flakes, and just really exfoliate my skin. It works great! After using it daily for about 2 weeks I read that the little scrubby beads in it are harmful to your skin, however it makes my skin feel wonderful and smooth and fresh. I've reduced it to every other day or so rather than 2 times a day just so I don't risk any skin damaging. I scrub gently as well.
