In love with a bottle

Pros:

Each bottle lasts 3 months with 2 times daily usage
Removes makeup great
Foams up great

I love this face wash, it removes my makeup and eye makeup very easily. It doesn't sting my eyes and leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. Doesn't leave behind a sticky feeling like some other cleansers. The smell is very faint it foams up great and the bottle lasts a long time!

Pros:

non-drying
cleans well
no residue
non-comedonegenic
no fragrance
gentle

Cons:

none

I used to use the CeraVe cream cleanser but my dermatologist suggested that I switch to the foaming cleanser. I was apprehensive because I thought it might be more drying but that hasn't been the case. Actually, I almost feel like it is more gentle and cleans my face better. Its great when paired with a harsh treatment like BP or retina-A. I also use the moisurizer. But it online... its cheaper!

Pros:

Cleanses well
Makes skin feel refreshed
Does not irritate or over dry
Awesome :D

Cons:

Not the easiest thing to lather
Skin still dry after using it

I love the way this cleanser makes my skin feel, it's almost like my skin just wants to eat it up. It doesn't irritate or cause excess drying, however it doesn't eliminate drying completely. It takes some practice to lather, the key is just add water. Overall I like this cleasner.

Pros:

Cleans skin without drying
Removes makeup easily
Doesn't cause breakouts
Economical (one bottle lasts forever)
Gentle

Cons:

Doesn't exfoliate (but then again, doesn't claim to!)

Love, love, love this stuff. I 100% believe this brand is the reason my skin hasn't dried out AT ALL from using retinoids. I use the foaming cleanser AM & PM, with the moisturizing lotion PM only (and sometimes not at all). Other cleansers make my skin red or itchy after using them, but CeraVe never has. I've read lots of reviews from people having trouble lathering the product, but I've never had any difficulty. I make sure my face and hands are wet, then dispense one pump and gently rub it around on my cheeks until it foams. I then spread it over my entire face. Wet hands and a wet face are the keys!

Pros:

-gentle
-very well cleansing
-leaves skin cleansed but also somewhat soft and hydrated
-great for all skin types

Cons:

-a little more expensive than dan kern's cleanser
-as someone stated below, it takes some time to 'practice' how to lather it well

First off; I had been using the dan kern cleanser for a couple years cause i liked it so much. It's so incredibly cleansing, even better than a lot of harsh cleansers out there, fairly gentle, and wasn't extremely drying, in comparison to other harsh cleansers i had used beforehand. A couple months ago, I decided to purchase a few cerave products, I had been looking into them for awhile. The moisturizing lotion is great but had some negative aspects that have caused me to stop using it, for my face at least; but this cleanser has remained a constant in my skincare. It is thicker in consistency than dk's, and when built into a good lather creates a nice thick-feeling lather. As I stated in my cons, it does take practice for a good lather but the key is water. Previous products that are on the skin need to be rinsed thoroughly beforehand and then once your skin is soaked well in water, the cleanser will lather well. Therefore it works the best in the shower when your face has most likely been rinsed well of the products applied and there's a lot of water on. In the sink however, it does take a little longer than usual to get everything rinsed well before you use the actual cleanser, but i've gotten used to it. I didn't even realize how drying i felt the dk cleanser to be until I used this one and felt how cleansed yet hydrated my skin was after.

Pros:

Cleans well, gentle on my skin, didn't irritate or cause more breakouts or rashes, not sure about the parent company but CeraVe doesn't test on animals (which is why I dumped Cetaphil, which turned out great because this cleanser if better:)

Cons:

Bummed I hadn't discovered it sooner

Was looking for a product to replace Cetaphil (a product that wasn't tested on animals) and stumbled across a reference to this cleanser. Bought it and loved it, it works better than Cetaphil. My skin is in much better condition! I am in my mid-thirties with combo skin and have inflammatory acne. I follow the regimen (or as closely as possible) and now use this cleanser. I would highly recommend this cleanser. My acne gets worse if I use any type of moisturizer but with this cleanser my skin is soft and I experience no dryness so no moisturizer necessary. My skin reacts to most cleansers so anytime I have to switch or try a new one and my skin "dislikes" it I usually wind up spending weeks trying to reach a happy balance again. This cleanser caused no such upset, just happy skin.

Pros:

Very gentle, won't cause breakouts or clog pores, no irritating fragrance, cleans all makeup off, doesn't dry skin, hydrating, feels great

Cons:

NONE!

This is the best cleanser for acne prone skin! Even better than Cetaphil. It foams lightly and cleans off all makeup and makes skin feel fresh, clean and hydrated. I've been using this along with the CeraVe PM moisturizing lotion, and my topical medicines of generic Retin-A and generic Benzaclin. I totally recommend this, best gentle effective cleanser ever! My skin is calm and acne-free!
