Pros:

Have only been taking it 3 days.

I have just recently bought the product and I have been taking the capsule form. I take 4 capsules daily, hoping to see some results soon! Also, I have purchased some Tea Tree Oil. I read that it heal's blemishes on the skin, however, don't put it on irritated skin. I am going to keep taking the flax oil and believing in faith that my acne heals!

Pros:

Flax seed is so healthy for you, despite what it may or may not do skin wise. I know I am getting plenty of Omega 3's now, which is difficult to consume in today's world.

Cons:

I do not use the oil since I can not tolerate the oily consistency and smell. The capsules are not worth taking since you have to take so many more to equal the value of the oil.

I have been using ground flax seed for the last few months as part of my new regime to take better care of my skin. It is more cost effective and not bothersome to me at all to consume as opposed to the oil and capsules available. I just sprinkle some on top of my yogurt or cereal daily (a total of 1T daily). I drink lemon water, use lemon juice topically, add flax seed to my diet, and follow the cleansing advice from this web site precisley. I have stopped taking my amoxicillan capsules and have mostly clear skin now. I am thrilled !! I am in my late 30's and have had moderate but very consisten acne since I was 13. I had medical treatment a few different times through my adult years. Only antibiotics would clear me up, the topicals were really useless to me. Since I knew I could not remain on medication too long, I felt doomed to have bad skin forever. It is a horrible feeling ! I am grateful and feeling like I have finally let a major worry in my life go. Amazing!! I am not a bad

Pros:

This works.Really does clear the face.

Cons:

none.

The thing you got to is..take the liquid flax seed oil.I took the pills and they did not work.Take the liquid.I take around 12-16 thousand mg of flax seed oil.Just around 2 spoon fulls of it.Make sure you take it with your food.I have seen better results that way.I also started to eat tuna 2 or more times a week. That also did wonders for me.Just give it time.I have been on flax seed oil for about 2 months now.My face is cleared right up.

Ground Flaxseed for Omega-3

I use a coffee grinder to grind flaxseeds and put a spoon of flaxseed meal in my breakfast everyday. It's easier to digest than whole flaxseeds and it's high in omega-3 which counterbalances any omega-6 I might have in my diet (chips, fast food, meat, nuts, baked goods). Omega-3 is anti-inflammatory while omega-6 encourages sebum production.

I've been combining this diet change with zinc supplements and my skin has never been better. I haven't had any new breakouts in two months when I used to battle something new coming up every week or two.

cycstic acne
Almost sure it caused me cycstic acne when I had never had any before.

It works but it's slow
My daily dosage: 3 tablespoons of ground organic flaxseed. I didn't have any break outs. After three weeks I noticed some improvements because I went from having moderate to mild acne. Maybe I need to wait longer to see big changes. I'm 26 year old female and I have PCOS. I have tried other supplements that made my acne worse like maca powder and reishi mushroom capsules (it helps in other things tough). I also drink lots of water and consume dairy free diet.

Pros:

My mother likes it but I don't

Cons:

The first day I started taking the seed my face felt really oily and weird. The second day my face broke out even more. I know that I should continue to take this product because it may be good for me but I can't bare any more pimples.

I didn't like it but maybe it will work for you.

Pros:

Cheap, good for regularity, took it to avail of the good omega's.

Cons:

Gave me bad acne

I started to take two Flaxseed oil capsules on Sunday, one in the morning, one at evening and by the next Sunday I was broke out around my chin and lip line terribly and very painful. I stopped taking the capsules and still had a terrible time healing, literally weeks. It was almost like the pimple would not turn to a whitehead nor go away but very painful and swollen. Prior to this I had no pimples but just wanted to take advantage of those good amega's. I got a raw deal!!!!!

Pros:

Health benefits

Cons:

Not working for me.

This is my 7th day and I'm pretty broken out, and now it is cystic and it has never been before. I'm hoping it just takes time so I'll keep taking it. I am taking it for depression anyway. Has anyone had it make your face flare up and then clear?
