Pros:

No pros for me.

Cons:

Developed red and blotchy skin from taking fish oil. Didn't realize it was the the fish oil until just recently. Also made my forehead dry, patchy, red and a bit bumpy. I'm allergic apparently.

I'm allergic to fish oil and it is not good for my skin on my face. Glad I finally figured this out.

Pros:

good for your general wellbeing

Cons:

does not help at all with acne

this does not work. it has had no effect on my acne whatsoever. i tried it after reading reviews on it here, but unfortunately it has not done any good for me. i noticed that many people are claiming to see great results after just few days of taking it, but i think it is just a coincidence that new pimples haven't formed during that time. i guess what i'm saying is that you can try it for yourself, but you also shouldnt get your hopes up too much, because this is not a miracle cure. good luck, i hope it works for you.

Pros:

Easy to take, not too expensive.

Cons:

Makes me burp and I have bad integestion. when I burp it smells all fishy.

Have only been taking them for a week or so, so not seen any difference, I did seem to get a big breakout a day or two after I started taking them, but not sure if the fish oil capsules were to blame...I will take one every couple of days as they give me bad integestion....

Pros:

None

Cons:

Made me break out with more acne.
Gave me an allergic reaction 30 minutes after taking 2 capsules, constant sneezing and watery eyes with nasal drip.

I read all the reviews on here before purchasing the fish oil, I kept in mind all the negative reviews of the Fish oil, while i made the decision to test this out, and to my surprise noticed constant sneezing and watery eyes within 30 minutes of taking the fish oil, it lasted for 6 hours . The sneezing went away around 9:00 pm, I took another 2 pills around 10:00 pm, ( just to see if i had another episode) 30 minutes later the same story , sneezing and watery eyes. The next morning I wake up and look in the mirror and saw a major break out on my face, 30 white heads all over my face and some huge ones under my skin. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

well, it just seems like you're allergic to the pills, that's what caused your breakout

FYI Costco has a great fish oil deal. It is the Natures made brand. Very affordable!!! I paid around $14-16 for a 6 -12 month supply (depending on how much you take)

Pros:

No acne in the first few days

Cons:

Lots of whiteheads after a few weeks into the product

If your looking for something temporary then use it, on the long run I wouldnt recommend it because you will get a lot of whiteheads

Pros:

It can be cheap.

Cons:

Avent seen any improvements yet, i bought this with zinc supplements. Can give you fish breath(ew)!

Worth a try but wen i posted this it had only worked for one person, i dotn think there is much logic behind it working but worth a shot i suppose.

Hi everyone, I heard about fish oil's benefits for acne in The Toronto Star and got very interested in looking online for more information. I was very surprised to see how much information is available! So I bought Carlson's Super Omega 3 Fish Oil from my local health store and today was my first day. I asked the sales woman, she said to start by taking 1 a day of 1000 mg. I took one today and hope that it makes a difference to my skin! I'd love to hear other people's experiences with this product!
