Pros:

Soft hair
Supple skin
Better mood
Softer skin

Cons:

No drastic improvement

I didn't really expect for this to completely clear my acne but it has made my fluffy disaster of hair tamer and it has made my skin a bit more glowing and soft (except for the acne) I haven't been taking for long but im noticing little bumps on my cheeks are getting smaller. So over all i would recommend this to you if you have dry or combo skin with bumps or if you have fluffy fizzy hair or maybe if you just what to be overall healthier!

Pros:

I am 26yrs of age. Female. I grew up with acne and it wasn't deep scaring acne but I did get the red dots that would seem to never go away. Ive always had a pimple here and there on my cheek every other month but after taking fish oil pills I noticed the red marks had diminished through time. I rarely get pimples now. I only take 2 tablets a day. Everyone is different and needs a different amount, or will get a different reaction.

Cons:

None

I won't stop taking fish oil pills. Besides clearing on my skin, it just makes me feel healthier.

Pros:

Skin not as dry, acne improved

Cons:

Price, Taste

So I'm in my late 20's and was pretty fed up with my acne. I researched a mega ton (yep, I said it) online about different things I could try before I tried something more drastic (prescription meds) . Fish oil is one of the few things that I started taking and I really do think it is one of the main factors that has helped my acne drastically improve. I also at the same time starting taking a multi vitamin (I'd take vitamins every now and then up to this point) everyday and tried a few different facials with crazy things - raw honey, lemon, egg (dried the crap out of my face btw). Pretty much all these things I started giving myself facials were done maybe more at first but at this point aren't done all that often. My acne is atleast 75% better than it was 2 or 3 months ago before I started taking the fish oil (the good fish oil btw, nordic naturals) and the multivitamin. I think the fish oil can really help someone if they have dry skin and are getting break outs (most people past their teens aren't going to be nearly as oily).

Pros:

Never really noticed any.

Cons:

Got really bad acne!!!

I started taking it for my joints and got really bad acne on my fac chest and back so forget it. I tried it a few months ago in the summer and thought maybe the heat was causing it but I am pretty sure it is the fish oil.

Pros:

skin is softer, old acne scars are healing

Cons:

none

Needs to be taken consistently. i have been using proactiv for the past 2 years and i decided it was too harsh on skin (skin was dry). when i stopped i had acne breakout on my chin. i tried going to have glycolic acid peel for 3 months (1 fornightly) and products endorsed by the clinic however i still got severe acne around my chin and cheeks. Decided i had enought of spending money on chemicals peels and blue and red light therapy as it didnt work. i went to the vitamins store am taking the following: Morning 2 fish oils 1 primrose oil 1 Milk Thistle 2 Vitex 1 Echinecia

Pros:

Softer, smoother, hardier skin; shinier and stronger hair and nails

Cons:

Fishy burps, not a cure-all

Adding this supplement to my routine made my skin way more tolerant to the topicals I use, so I can "abuse" it a lot with SA (2x daily) and ACV (also 2x daily) without irritation, whereas before, using SA 2x daily, no ACV, would often cause my skin to be very irritated. It also added a bit of a healthy glow, and has some nice side effects on your hair, fingernails, and apparently brain function. I wouldn't use it to replace a regimen, but it's a very helpful addition! (I marked myself as very light, though without any treatment, I am moderate/moderately severe. 'Course, that's been awhile now, so. :) )

Pros:

Clear mind, clear complexion, calming effect

Cons:

Have to remember to take it

I have tried a few fish oil where I got those fish burps (nasty). The cheap stuff tends to lend itself to that. I have bought Costco fish pills and I think the most honest breakdown review of the best fish pills was at: [link removed] They have agood xtend life reviews versus some other popular products. Don't go to the absolute cheapest. You will be sorry and in the long run, you'll be happier with a good quality fish oil.

Pros:

I am a 25 year old male. I have had acne for the past 10 -12 years. I started using Dan's regimen and i had some benefits. However, adding fish oil to my diet has gotten rid of my acne COMPLETELY! Its true!

Cons:

None ...other than the fact that to see any effects...you have to use heavy doses. I take 20 capsules every day...each capsule has 1000mg of fish oil.

Try fish oil guys...its very cheap. You can buy a bottle with 400 caps for around 15-20$ in Walgreens/CVS etc. I started supplementing with fish oil as part of my body building diet and it was a very pleasant surprise when my acne cleared off. I have been acne free for about 2 months. Fish oil also has healthy unsaturated fats...so its good for heart, hair etc. But note that i had been using fish oil/flax seed oil before but i used to only have couple of caps per day which did nothing for my acne. For fish oil to work..you have to use a large dose.I use 20*1000mg per day.
