Pros:

Cleanser is extremely gentle, but still cleanses the skin. I gently massage it into my skin for 20 to 30 seconds to remove makeup and oil... and my skin is not irritated.

Cons:

You do not get a lather, nor do you feel squeaky clean, therefore it may lead some to believe it is not working.

Great cleanser. Inexpensive and easily accessible at nearly any drug store. Removes dirt, oil, and makeup, without irritating your skin. I would recommend this to people who have extremely sensitive skin, such as dry skin with acne and/or rosacea.

Pros:

It is non-irriatating, mild, and fragrance-free.

Cons:

It is like using pure lotion to wash your face with. It just never made me feel like my face was getting truly clean with this stuff. So, that was a major turnoff.

This product has no cleansing agents in it all that I have noticed. It is something that is mild, however it seems to be too mild for it to really do anything beneficial towards one skin. Overall, I do not recommend this product as it simply is the equivalent of using lotion on your face to cleanse it with.

Pros:

gentle
cleanses well/removes makeup
softens
didn't break me out

Cons:

annoying smell (even though it says fragrance free?)
contains parabens (but what doesn't these days)

I really like this stuff, its very lotiony which I'm not used to for cleansers. I use Cetaphil too when Im visiting my moms, and this stuff is a little heavier. Im not too picky when it comes to cleansers because they go down the drain in like 10 seconds! Overall I use this off and on and never have any breakouts and my face feels smooth and moisturized.

Pros:

Once I started using this product my breakout across my chin cleared up and no other pimples have returned..which is usually what happens.

Cons:

May not remove all your makeup if you kind of wear a lot. You'll have to combine with another product like a makeup removing wipe.

It works! I wash my face with this in the morning and at night before bed. After that I put some witch hazel on a cotton swab and apply all over my face, then once that drys I apply a spot treatment of 2.5% Benzoil peroxide on the area where breakouts usually occer. Once a day I exfoliate with a gentle scrub ( don't scrub your face like crazy... lightly rub) before this whole process.

Pros:

Very gentle, doesn't irritate skin or leave it dry after cleansing, and I had no issues with this causing breakouts. It's also cheap and widely available-- which is fantastic!

Cons:

It's not too great if you're trying to remove make-up, but I don't tend to wear much at all, except for special occasions, so that wasn't a real issue,

I love it! It's so gentle and reliable-- if I try a different product and it does horrible things to my skin, I know that I can always return to this product. I would even go so far as to say that it has helped clear up my skin-- I was using such harsh crap on my face before and it did my acne no good. Using gentler products helped clear my moderate acne. It's still not perfect, but it's better.

Pros:

extremely gentle, non-drying , easy to use

Cons:

not a makeup remover if you wear makeup

I love using this cleanser with BP. BP dries up my skin therefore I am not going to wash my face with some harsh cleanser which will make my combination skin extremely dry.

Pros:

-Extra gentle :P (just like it claimed)
-Soothing smell
-Easy to spread
-Good amount for the price
-Lasts a while
-Great if you have redness you need to calm down
-Great if you like the skin to feel moisturized after washing
-NO SLS!!! :D

Cons:

-Doesn't quite decrease oil buildup
-Must be rinsed extra well to avoid leaving a film on the skin
-Can clear minor blemishes (ie: tiny whiteheads) but not he more severe ones that I have on the sides of my cheeks (ie: big red pimples that hurt to the touch)
-Has parabens

I think this is one of Neutrogena's better products. Although it might not be the best at eliminating acne (gel or foaming gel cleansers are more effective, in my opinion), it's still a great cleanser if you have minor, minor blemishes that appear around that time of the month or just very small whiteheads. If you have those bigger, more severe red breakouts on the side of your cheeks, this will not clear it. Sometimes, I make the mistake of purchasing harsh products or I have a reaction to a product I try. This cleanser will always calm my skin down. If I use it for a couple days after an offensive product irritated my skin, my skin will look noticibly less red and feel more comfortable. This does not help with oil production whatsoever so don't get your hopes up about that. Overall though, this is an adequate product for everyday use but not very good if you have oily skin like I did. I do love that it doesn't have sulfates because those can really irritate sensitive skin. But I am disappointed that they have parabens. But best of luck finding your perfect product!

Pros:

My Acne seemed to lessen.

Cons:

Made my face white. When i Put lotion on my face it would combine with the face wash and a bunch of white skin particles would follow. My brother ask me if i was sick because my face was so white

If it makes your skin white, discontinue to use.

Pros:

Doesn't irritate my skin, reduces irritated bumps.

Cons:

Is a little pricey, but has cleared my skin up more than anything else.

I bought this product on the basis that when you scrub your skin with an acne cleanser that removes oil and causes drying, your skin produces more oil to compensate and causes your skin to be more irritated and you breakout more. (This information coming from my dermatologist.) He recommended this or Cetaphil (which I haven't had much luck with) so I went with the Neutrogena. I can't say that this product has CLEARED my acne, but overall my skin tone looks more even, and when I do have acne, the bumps are less irritated and red-looking.

Pros:

- gentle
- no fragrance
- no irritation so far

Cons:

I like this cleanser a lot. I finally realized that gentle cleansing is key when you have acne :) So far no breakouts, which is definitely the goal here.
