Cons:

if your skin type is oily, do NOT, i repeat, DO NOT use this stuff! it will just make your skin worse! it only works for people with dry skin!

Pros:

takes away the reddness
good for scars
makes complexion nice and smooth

Cons:

greasy when putting on
it doesn't make active acne go down fast

I have had a problem with flaky skin - when I wash my face it dries it out and then when using a moistuizer it always seemed like it would break me out so I would try to just put moisturizer on my dry areas. Emu seems to fix this problem. Emu works well as a moisturizer. I decided to try it a little while ago and put it on my acne and different spots. It helps to moisturize my skin without breaking it out. I was surprised that when putting on a scar at night, in the morning the redness went down significantly. Since using it for awhile I have seen less acne.

Pros:

makes my skin soft again after overdrying it with acne medications. seems like it's already decreasing a wrinkle between my eyebrows without aggravating that acne-prone area

Cons:

by-product of meat harvest

i will use it, even though it's a by-product. people eat emu, therefore emu will continue to be harvested for meat and why let any part of the animal go to waste if you can help it, especially when it has such incredible soothing and moisturizing properties. i was afraid to put an oil product on my acne prone skin, but as long as i use it sparingly in the breakout areas, i'm fine. it makes my skin feel really good and look a little younger already. i bought a tiny bottle but it will last a long time. i hear you should be careful about what brand you buy. mine comes from an emu farm in Kalispell, MT. This brand was highly recommended by the young woman in the supplement store who had the most beautiful skin and she said she had acne too, still takes prescription medication for it but uses the oil too.

Pros:

Very moisturizing and rehydrated a dried out face from all the acne products.

Cons:

somewhat greasy if you put to much on

I tried this stuff first because I saw the reviews about getting rid of hyperpigmentation. Although I haven't seen any improvement with my scars it is a great soothing moisturizer. I may just need to use it longer to help with my hyperpigmentation though.

Pros:

softens skin a little
lightens scars at first

Cons:

greasy
caused pretty bad breakouts when first used
doesn't do anything to scars in the long term

After buying 100% emu oil and rubbing it on my acne and trauma scars, i felt like it improved but after several days of usage, realized it could be a placebo from viewing the scar region right after rubbing with any moisturizer. after applying for 2 days, had a breakout but continued to consistently used it. after 2 weeks, I attempted to have a fresh, unbiased view of treated areas and realized nothing changed.

Pros:

heal scar or tatoo FAST.

Cons:

oily. when you sleep with that on your face it can leave your pillow greasy

20$ and last for month. don't use it all time. 2-3 night per week is just enough.

Pros:

great it helps with rednes and heals fast sits

Cons:

nothing bad i think

It workt for me like in the first 2 days you can tell that it makes my scars fade away, it dose not work that well on active acne but it's great for scars and rednes give it a try. The emu oil I use is Emu line Emu oil.

Pros:

Calms my irritated and peeling skin better than anything.

Cons:

The main ingredient is oleic Acid, which is a known comedogen. IT DOES CLOG POURS!! do not use if you have oilly skin.

IT DOES CLOG POURS!!! The main ingredient is Oleic acid which is a known comedogen. That being said, I use it only becuase I use retin-A 0.1% at night and in the morning emu oil is the only thing that can stop the intense peeling. If i didnt use retina i wouldnt use emu oil, becuase it can clog pours. Do not listen to the crack pots about it not causing acne, cause it can if you already have oilly type skin. Dry skin types it might help. However, if you use it for reasons like i use it then its the best thing out there to calm irritated and peeling skin. It does have antibacterial properties, cause it contains linoleic acid as well(which is why dry skin types with acne could benifit), I actually used it once for athletes foot and it worked really really well.
