This a product is one of the many acne products i have used in the past but it is one of the most effective. After using the effaclar duo gel and foaming face wash my skin appears smoother and redness has decreased.

Pros:

Controls oil and prevent acne. It works

Cons:

Seems that the acne comes back when stop usage.

I wear a lot of make up, this product helps to clear the pores, makes the skin looks healthier and prevents acne from forming. But, I still do have the occasional one/two huge zits. To combat this, I use Effaclar A.I as a spot treatment. The acne seems to die down the next day or two. The two products works well together. I also use Oil of Olay moisturer after. Probably, the only product that works on my skin. Try it.

Pros:

It makes your skin nice and cool. It clears the blemishes

Cons:

It's kinda pricey and I'm a natural person so i would they ysed less chemicals and more natural ingredients

Give it a try for sure!!! I use the face wash (effaclar) and the effaclar K Daily renewal fluid. i also put pure tea tree oil on my pimples and it dries them up well. However, the lady at the store tested my skin and said it needed moisture so you may wanna check out the effaclar H. I'm working my way up to it, next month i'll buy it. Ps. I started using these because the lady gave me a sample of the effaclar K, so maybe get a sample first and try it for a week, dime size will do the job and you can see the difference. Remember pimples also get worst during PMS time so it may not be the best time to test a product, wait till after.

Pros:

It's working. My skin looks noticeably better looking, spots are vanishing. I've used it for over a week and the results are awesome.

Cons:

May dry your skin. It didn't dry mine up, but everyone has different skin. If however the product has dried your skin, don't give up on it. Reduce to one use, and moisturize once a day. The best moisturizer ever is effaclar h.

I reccomend this product, because it's clearing my skin up. It's the only thing that has worked for me. I wash my face with a cetaphil cleanser bar, and then apply effaclar k. The product is the best!

Pros:

Soothes my skin, doesn't react to sun light.

Cons:

Packaging sucks, metal. I still had like 1/5 of it when I got a new one.

Get it if you can find it under 25 dollars. It works.

Pros:

I like how it smells.
My skin feels like silk after I use this.
Spreads easily, doesn't leave any build- up at all.

Cons:

Makes my skin shiny after applying.
Didn't work as well as I expected.

It's a great product if you have mild acne. I trust La Roche-Posay as my mother uses their products and gets great results. I suppose if I had used this longer on a more strict regimen, it would have been more effective. But in my opinion, if I don't see a mild improvement quickly enough, I discontinue use. Effaclar K was OK, but I much prefer Vichy Normaderm Anti- Imperfection Hydrating Care.

Works great for me
I was honestly shocked to see negative reviews of this product...I first found it in a pharmacy while I was studying abroad in France ($32 is a total rip-off by the way, it's so cheap there), and it's been one of the only products that consistently helps my skin. I have combination/oily skin, and so I'm prone to blackheads and whiteheads and the occasional hormonal breakout, but I've found that this stuff does a great job of soaking up the excess oil and keeping my skin clear. If your skin is dry it would probably be too harsh, but if you're like me and you need a little less oil in your life, it's great!

The only product on the market that I have tried to rid of my adult acne.
September 26, 2009

Pros:

Smells great, cuts down grease without washing. Made a big difference in my conjunction with creams from my dermatologist

Cons:

It's pretty pricey. I also go through phases where it doesn't work as well. The greasy feeling comes back after a while though.

I really enjoy using the cream as a midday pick up. Has helped me make the jump from "teenager" skin in my 20s to an occasional break out.

Pros:

very light and smooth, easy to spread especially after putting on toner. because it is made with thermal water it gives this healthy glow! great to be used under make-up, especially with Toleriane make-up by La Roche Posay.

Cons:

if use is discontinued skin seems to bounce back to the acne

awesome product I'm already on my second tube! Each tube is about $26 cdn. for 30ml but because you only need a little bit for each application, one tube lasts a god month and a half...perhaps more.
