it helps but with a lot of patience
I do notice when ever I eat cheese I always get pimples the next day, so I gave this diet a try. With a lot of patience, I saw the result after 4 months. At the same time I also avoid, red meat, tropical fruits (water melon, mangos, pineapple, papaya, durian..etc). It's not a miracle or overnight cure. I had to be very careful about what I eat. But it's worth it.

Pros:

-It help in reducing acne.
-There are supplements for diary.
-Free (and come on free is always good :^), right?)

Cons:

Cheese is so delicious! I miss foods like quesadillas, fettucini with Alfredo sauce (YUM!)... =/

As the person below already touched on, dairy can cause hormonal imbalance, therefore theoretically lead to acne. I've noticed that cheese specifically tends to break me out significantly (this could possibly be a result of it being being heavily processed). However, drinking milk and consuming various other similar diary products, FROM TIME TO TIME (note: not everyday!), doesn't produce horrendous acne break-outs (at least not for me); a quesadilla on the other hand... Uh uh, tisk squared.ISo, bottom line it works, you should try it. I kept a food journal for about a month, listing absolutely everything I consumed, and what do you know, I found a trend: CHEESE WAS THE BAD BOY. Anyway, I'd recommend doing the same to notice what food you're personally sensitive to.

How long
Hi guys! I have now been on the dairy diet for 3 days now... and I just wanted to ask how long do you think it actually takes to see the differene? I know it's only been a few days but I'm getting impatient, because at the moment I'm not seeing much of a difference right now, or maybe only a little bit. I know I'm being a little bit stupid, but just let me know guys what you think!

it took about 10 days for me to see the start of a change, and from then on it got better.

Definitely longer than 3 days. And read ingredient lists! I used to buy these honey sesame cashews from Trader Joe's. l loved them. Then upon actually reading the ingredients in them, I saw they had milk. Milk may not even be IN the ingredients list, but then listed at the very bottom in bold, along with other allergens contained in the food. And beware of WHEY. It is a dairy protein and is in EVERYTHING.

Pros:

Clears skin

Cons:

None

I had no idea what dairy was doing to my body until I tried giving it up myself and did some research on it. I had some moderate acne on my face, neck, and chest. From what i gather my issue was from hormonal imbalances and cutting out dairy helped cleared my face among other issues i had going on with my body. At times when i do indulge in some sort of dairy product rest assured there will be a pimple somewhere coming up. i can almost name it by what food it was that made it appear.

Depending.
It definitely makes your acne a bit better. Diary contains many hormones and we humans are not meant to consume diary in any way. Our bodies are just not made for it. Cutting it out completely though, broke me out even more, I like to enjoy cheese from time to time and nice food. Lots of food contains diary (powder form). The stress it gives to keep leaving it broke me out more than something eat a bit of cheese.

no milk helps acne but doesn't clear all the way
Reducing dairy and milk helped reduce my acne a lot as well as eating a sensible diet with eliminating soda and kool aid while throwing in a some fruits and salads throughout your diet will greatly reduce acne . at least limit intake of dairy products... DRINK LOTS OF WATER

It helps

Pros:

Cheap
It helps. May be more effective for some people
Really nothing to lose

This helped me a bit. It was nothing extremely significant but dairy really does provoke my acne. I think everyone should give it a try. I'm grateful for the improvement even though it is small.

Pros:

-healthier
-vegan!!!! (partly haha)
-save money

Cons:

-can be difficult to get used to at first

I've only tried this for about a week but I am seeing results. This could be, however, a result of me taking better care of my skin in general. But I would say it has DEFINITELY helped. I feel it, ya know? I'd started really liking milk about two weeks ago and getting really, really bad break outs (few but huge, heavy pimples). Then I read on wikipedia that milk and acne are linked to one another ..and , after some research, I decided to cut dairy from my diet. Boy, has it worked! : ) : )
