Cetaphil : Daily Facial Cleanser, Normal to Oily Skin

Wow. This product pleasantly surprised me. I've passed it up so many times, but it has finally found its way into my cabinet, and I'm happy I gave it a shot. My acne has been out of control for numerous years. I've tried a lot of harsh, medicated cleansers that only amplified the problem and caused my face to kick into oil production overdrive. Finally, I decided to dump the harsh products and change my strategy. I heard about Cetaphil's cleansers and went out and got this bottle (it was the last one too!). In just a week, I've seen more improvement in my face than I've seen with other products I've used for months. My face feels so soft after using it, and my skin is fresh and clean feeling without being dry and irritated. My acne has improved significantly (though I use other products specifically for that). My complexion has brightened and my scars are softening. My face is also much less oily though out the day. This product will not lather, but that is because it doesn't have harsh sulfates it it. It doesn't have to lather to clean your face. The smell is a little strong, but it isn't an overpowering odor. Besides, when a product works so well, smell is pretty irrelevant to me. It also may seem a little pricey, but you get 16 ounces for about $11.00, and it goes a long way. I will continue to use this product. It's a great basic cleanser and actually improves your skin as a whole, instead of targeting only acne and damaging the rest in the process. I would recommend this as a good addition to your skin care routine.

this product is okay, i guess. it doesnt really smell good to me. it cleanses my face really good, and it makes my skin feel soft and light after i use it. but me and my mom still continue to buy it often. however i do want to stop buying this product as soon as i run out of it.

This product is a great basic cleanser. I use this every morning and my skin stays fresh and non-oily until the evening. I don't know why people are rating it so low for not clearing acne up because the purpose of this cleanser is just to clean the face- not treat acne.

Iv'e been using it for about 2 months and it worked well the first 2 weeks then made me have maybe 2 or 3 pimples.it really makes my skin oily in the morning. i wouldn't reccomed you use the oily cleanser unless you have moderate-severe oily skin , mine wasn't oily at all when i first started using this product but now it is.if you have light acne use the daily gentle cleanser not the oily one. kinda made my face clean though

Gotta keep using it to see results. Gets worse before it gets better.

I got a bottle of the Cetaphil daily cleanser in a dermatology gift basket I won as a door prize at my high school. At first I refused to use it (because I'm a die-hard Neutrogena girl) but I used it for a few weeks because I was too lazy to go get more Neutrogena. It's been maybe a month since then, and I'm for sure going to stick with Cetaphil. My acne was never really that bad, but most cleansers and products I used mostly just prevented new breakouts and didn't really treat them that well. I'm now a lot more comfortable going out without make up on, my skin is softer, and my breakouts (and scars!) have cleared up really well, just in time for college(: Of course I have a few single zits here and there, but that's just natural. Better than an entire area!

Leaves skin soft w/o drying it out. My gf also uses it, we have different skin types, and she loves it too. I have very sensitive skin, and have been using this for years after trying tons of facial cleansers that dried out and irritated my skin. I love this product.

This product is good for girls, but I don't think its particularly helpful for most guys.

if you have acne and your using stuff on your face already (like medicine or salicilic acid or bp) you dont want to over do it. this is a great product to wash your face with because there arent any heavy ingredients.

So my face had always been red and extremely zitty but now that ive use this for a few months ive noticed my skin isnt red and my pimples are disappearing!
