Pros:

- Gentle skin cleanser, great for sensitive skin
- Pleasant fragrance
- Easy to wash off
- Soap-free
- Prevents future break outs and leaves skin soft
- Affordable

Cons:

- Does nothing for existing break outs (need to use an acne gel for that, like Galderma 2.5% water based acne gel)

I love this product! Its very basic packaging wise but delivers great results.

I have had very bad acne for about a year now and this is my favorite cleanser i am also on medication right now so i cannot give a fair review on how this cleanser has helped clear up my skin but so far my acne is slowly going away. overall i just love this cleanser and many doctors recommend this product so you know that it is a good product!

Pros:

Cleans skin, cleared up break outs, effectively got rid of makeup.

Cons:

None

I have always very beautiful skin that borderlined dry. After I had my baby pow! Everything changed I had acne for the first time in my life at 30 years old. After trying over priced cleanser after cleanser I could find, and SCARRING my face from picking I asked a friend who has lovely skin what she uses and she said Cetaphil. I thought it was crazy because I have never purchased drug store cleansers but I have been using this product for 4 days now and honestly I look like the old me! My skin is clear, bright the Cethaphil DRIED out the scars and they fell off in two days. Love it love it love it...I don't need to wear foundation anymore!

Pros:

Doesn't clog pores or dry out your skin, gets rid of oil.

Cons:

A slight stinging sensation.

This is an amazing cleanser. I don't have much acne, but my face felt ALOT cleaner and softer after ONE use. I'd recommend this to anyone and if you have acne problems, just use an acne cream after you use Cetaphil. I've used Cetaphil for two days and it got rid of the redness around my chin and nose as well as my forehead. Not to mention it comes in a huge bottle and it's very cheap so it'll last you a LONG time! :) It has a slight smell to it but it's not heavy, it just smells like soap.

Pros:

Removes surface oil and dirt effectively.
Leaves skin feeling soft, doesn't strip face of essential oils.
Comes in 16 oz bottle and lathers nicely, lasts a good amount of time when washing 2-3 times daily.

Cons:

Will occasionally leave areas around mouth and eyebrows dry if not using a moisturizer.

I use to have severe acne but my regimen, below, fixed it quickly.

1.Rinse face with warm/hot water 2.Dispense 1 pump into the palm of your hand 3.Massage gently** for 45-60 seconds (massage the cleanser using only enough pressure to pull dirt/oil across your face and out of your pores/ DO NOT press hard when cleansing or else you are forcing the surface residues back into your pores, creating more problems) 4.Rinse the cleanser off using water, not your wet hands... 5.Wait 5 minutes or until your face is completely dry 6.Use a witch hazel toner/astringent with as little alcohol as possible (I use T.J. Dickinsons Witch Hazel) on a cottonball/cosmetic pad/ or sterile gauze 7.Smooth the toner over your face gently, and let it air dry 8.Do this twice a day, you'll notice a positive difference with your skin almost immediately...If you're an athlete and you need to wash your face in the middle of the day, don't use the toner, just cleanse thouroughly and then cleanse and use the toner again before bed 9.Cetaphil Daily Facial Moist

Pros:

reduced acne. recovers self-steem. one step.

Cons:

didn't really help with the tell-tale marks but who cares!! no more painful volcanic pustules!

I started having a breakout from hell five months ago. I got shocked because i really didn't expect that my skin is prone to major breakouts. so I started my crusade of clearing my face. After a hefty amount of cash was spent on creams, toners, lotions, not to mention toothpaste, lemons, baking soda and other desperate measures, I never thought that a mild cleanser is just waiting to do the trick!

Pros:

made my skin feel soft and helped clear my breakouts A LOT

Cons:

none = )

in the morning i use it while i'm in the shower. since the water in the shower is hot/warm, it helps cleanse. when you step out of the shower it's slightly colder so it helps to close your pores quickly. at night i just used a cotton-pad (like a cotton-ball, but it's flat) to apply the cleanser and left a thin film of the cleanser on my skin. i follow up with neutrogena rapid clear-acne eliminating spot gel. it clears up pimples overnight.

Pros:

Doesn't overdry if your skin is oily - normal

Cons:

None really, may irritate a few people do to ingredients and or fragrance, but then again what soaps / cleansers don't have some bad ingredients?

Ive stuck with this cleanser for a while, and saw mainly positive results. This is A CLEANSER, not an acne cure. It won't overdry and make your skin oily 30 minutes later, but it will keep your skin normal for a good period of time. For me, it works good with my acne prone oily skin, and keeps it clean. I've recently tried the Purpose Bar, but it overdrys my face too much, even in the summer. For now im going to stick with cetaphil.

Pros:

LOVE IT. The best for my super oily skin. Non-irritating, smells clean, seems to refine the texture of my skin- smoother, and not bumpy.

Cons:

None really

So after reading about the rave reviews for Purpose soap for really oily skin, I decided to put my Cetaphil aside and try it. What a mistake!! Never again. My skin was so oily and I broke out in small red bumps. Cetaphil I'm yours for life. Not just my dermatologist, but some of the Makeup artists at MAC swear by it. I use Cetaphil(normal/oily) after my chemical peels, and the results are fantastic. Also, Cetaphil compliments Tazorac very well. Some of my co-workers actually asked me what I use on my skin. WOW! Considering where i started from.
