Pros:

Affordable
Noticably Clearer Skin

Cons:

Doesn't work for acne, just oily skin.

It works well only if you have oil problems. If you do, its a great product.

Pros:

reduced acne. recovers self-steem. one step.

Cons:

didn't really help with the tell-tale marks but who cares!! no more painful volcanic pustules!

I started having a breakout from hell five months ago. I got shocked because i really didn't expect that my skin is prone to major breakouts. so I started my crusade of clearing my face. After a hefty amount of cash was spent on creams, toners, lotions, not to mention toothpaste, lemons, baking soda and other desperate measures, I never thought that a mild cleanser is just waiting to do the trick!

Pros:

made my skin feel soft and helped clear my breakouts A LOT

Cons:

none = )

in the morning i use it while i'm in the shower. since the water in the shower is hot/warm, it helps cleanse. when you step out of the shower it's slightly colder so it helps to close your pores quickly. at night i just used a cotton-pad (like a cotton-ball, but it's flat) to apply the cleanser and left a thin film of the cleanser on my skin. i follow up with neutrogena rapid clear-acne eliminating spot gel. it clears up pimples overnight.

Pros:

Doesn't overdry if your skin is oily - normal

Cons:

None really, may irritate a few people do to ingredients and or fragrance, but then again what soaps / cleansers don't have some bad ingredients?

Ive stuck with this cleanser for a while, and saw mainly positive results. This is A CLEANSER, not an acne cure. It won't overdry and make your skin oily 30 minutes later, but it will keep your skin normal for a good period of time. For me, it works good with my acne prone oily skin, and keeps it clean. I've recently tried the Purpose Bar, but it overdrys my face too much, even in the summer. For now im going to stick with cetaphil.

Pros:

It's not that expensive, so you could try it without much loss

Cons:

It didn't work for me. Dries out skin.

It dried up my skin so that it was flaking off in tiny pieces, but did nothing to prevent acne. (Usually it atleast dries out the zits, right?) I even apply a gentle moisturizer that did nothing to improve the tiny flaking. I stopped using it and my skin returned to it's non-dried state in about 2 days. This surprised me, seeing as it advertises that it 'doesn't dry out your skin', and I do not have very sensitive skin. I only used it once a day too.

Pros:

LOVE IT. The best for my super oily skin. Non-irritating, smells clean, seems to refine the texture of my skin- smoother, and not bumpy.

Cons:

None really

So after reading about the rave reviews for Purpose soap for really oily skin, I decided to put my Cetaphil aside and try it. What a mistake!! Never again. My skin was so oily and I broke out in small red bumps. Cetaphil I'm yours for life. Not just my dermatologist, but some of the Makeup artists at MAC swear by it. I use Cetaphil(normal/oily) after my chemical peels, and the results are fantastic. Also, Cetaphil compliments Tazorac very well. Some of my co-workers actually asked me what I use on my skin. WOW! Considering where i started from.

Dry, flaky, skin left my skin feeling unclean
This stuff does not do what it says it would do. My face felt unclean, dry and flaky. I wanted to try something gentle and made my skin feeling clean, soft and smooth; this is something I would never purchase again.

Worth it!
Love this cleanser, it really refreshes your skin after washing your face. Doesn't feel harsh or strong, it definitely cured my skin after using the Cetaphil Oil Control Foam Cleanser for months (which had done more worse than good). I recommend if you have mild to barely any acne.

Not for me
I bought this Cleanser after reading a lot of good reviews about it, hoping it would finally be THE ONE to clear my acne. It has been about two months since I've been using it once-twice a day and it is a good cleanser and makeup remover, but did nothing for my acne. Within the first week of using it, my acne was quite light, but by the second week my acne returned to normal and remained that way until now. I only continued using it since it was much pricier than the regular acne treatments and i would hate to see it go to waste. I won't be resorting to Cetaphil again.
