Plz be extremely careful with this
Used coconut oil for a long time. Gave me clogged pores for months which I still cant get rid of and then later these clogged pores became cystic acne. I never had cystic acne in my life. I researched a lot n the internet and found that some people including me have ruined thier skin because of this oil. I am suffering since 4 months and finally had to go on accutane. Plz be careful with this. Stop as soon as you get whiteheads.

It absolutely works for me - the results even I still can't believe
I have had acne for FOREVER and treated it with everything under the sun. I was one step away from asking to try Accutane. One evening I washed my face with a tea tree oil lathering cleanser and slathered a light layer of coconut oil on my face before bed. Can't tell you why other than I had heard that it had anti-bacterial qualities. It went against EVERYthing I know about oily skin and acne. The next morning my skin was not shiny or oily, but it looked better. I washed again with the tea tree oil lathering cleanse rand applied makeup (no coconut oil during the day). I proceeded with the same routine and have not stopped since. It's been over 6 months and my skin has NEVER looked better. It looks hydrated and clear. I clean and apply every night and clean in the morning. I don't apply makeup on the weekend anymore because, well, I don't need to! It may not work for everyone, but I cannot believe it worked. I do still get a big ole zit now and again (probably hormonal). It's low cost and natural. I don't own stock in coconut oil or anything - but it is AWESOME!

Gave it the ol college try
I have suffered from severe acne for over 2 years and over the last 6 months or more my acne has been great, it improved more and more all the way up to now. its no longer everywhere, leaves as quick as it comes, and though i still got cysts it is was better than the past and usually correlated with something else. my skin was finally all clear of acne except for some hyper pigmentation and whiteheads but since it was winter i decided to try coconut oil. i LOVE coconut oil i use it to cook, and basically pour it all over myself(except my face now). After about 2 weeks of using it i stopped because i was getting acne in places i hadn't gotten in years, and it was becoming unpredictable once more. i have stopped using it for only a week now and my face has almost completely cleared back up except for new marks from the breakout. all in all, i suggest try it cuz if it doesn't work pimples will clear back up quickly. but ask yourself if its worth it because now i personally have to wait for new hyper pigmentation to go away again and thats a pain to go through.

Cons:
Clogs pores
Worsens conditions
Long lasting negative affects
Hold on, step back and think about this before you lather up. This is oil, thick and slippery. Kind of like the oil you naturally produce. Coconut oil is nutritious and loaded with vitamins, but it is also an oil. Any dermatologist would scream "NO" about adding it to and already oily face.
I tried this for about four days. I steamed my face with coconut oil and a dash of turmeric, then washed it off with soap. Day one looked good, my skin was soft and the redness was going away. Day two was even better, most acne fading and even smoother skin. Day three small pimples started appearing. Day four and I was back to where I'd started (but with smooth skin.) I figured I'd better stop, and now I have acne worse than before I started. I believe that although I washed my face the oil penetrated so deep that it is still causing problems weeks later.
You can try this procedure on a small area of skin and see what happens. Don't jump in with your whole face until you can say for sure that this will/wont help. Honestly I'd advise against. Save the coconut oil for your split ends and dry hands. It shouldn't go on your face if you have acne problems. Instead opt for tea tree or thyme oil (which are much less dense than coconut oil, so they won't clog pores).

I have always been a sufferer of mild acne but a year ago due to a combination of events and situations my acne moved into a crazy gear and I developed full blown adult acne. I'm a 27 yr old female. I have been thru the regime ( was good and cleared me up 95%but BP isnt healthy for ones skin long term and your acne just returns if you stop using it - i want to tackle the route) I have been adopting a more natural regime for the last 5 months, cutting out sugar, dairy and gluten, maintaining a healthy intestinal and gut flora balance- which works! Working on my stress levels - plenty of exercise and lovely relaxing yoga. Thru researching more natural topicals to use on my face - up till the coconut oil i had just been using jojoba and lavender oil. I bought 'Viridians' 100% Organic Raw Coconut oil and used it continually as a moisturizer 2x a day for 4 full weeks. I had read expect a 'healing crisis'. This started 1 week in and its bad, large cystic nodules broke out on my cheeks and chin, mixed in where whiteheads that came out daily in places I am not acne prone on my face. " and a half weeks in i decided to test it and use it on my back - which has been clear for 3 whole months - a week in, i broke out on my back. I am all for detoxing and understand that the ailment needs to get worse sometimes before it gets better....4 weeks into using it, still no let up of this large & painful acne. 2 days after I stopped using the oil my skin calmed down dramatically. Its been 3 weeks since i stopped using the oil. I still take it internally 1 - 2 tsp a day, its tasty and great to cook with. As for skin, it has pros, in the areas my skin didnt break out in over the 4 weeks of use, its looked healthy and glowing, but the acne that came from it far outweighed this - it was prob the worst break out i have ever had in my life. This oil has a high comedogenic rating. I still use it on my legs and arms :D

Cons:
N.O.N.E!!
When I turned 40, I got deep millia over my right eyebrow on my forehead. Not alot, but then again, 1 is too many in my book. Off to my first dermatologist. He said he would have to freeze the area numb and then, basically, dig them out and it would leave a scar. Umm, no. So I continue to try all different products, giving them all 90 days to work. Nothing. I go to another dermatologist and he suggested doing a chemical peel first and once they come closer to the surface, lancing them and that won't leave a scar. Chem peel was not one of those that turned face beet red, thank God, and after 3 visits, I had a couple surface on my cheek that were lanced with no problems. However, in the office, I was told my forehead would take over a year since they are deep. Umm, what? You can only get a peel like this every 30 days per my insurance, so forget it. Frustrated, I hit the internet again. Now that I'm changing my eating to a more raw based diet, I read about raw coconut oil. Why not, right? I mean, my better way of eating is agreeing with me and it's something I wish I did starting in my teens. So I started using the raw coconut oil a week ago. Oh, did I mention that my skin was showing signs of dryness? Anyway, now, a week later, two deep "white" millia that were on my right cheek close to my nose, busted out and left on their own while I was washing my face today! I don't use an expensive brush, I actually have a plain, dedicated tooth brush that I use on my face that has been helping me. I have found that works much better than many of the expensive face brushes. The millia on my forehead are starting to get closer to the surface! I'm so happy! Now, when using raw coconut oil it is going to bring everything to the surface. That is a very good thing and it means you are doing something right. You want to get this out of your body! So give it a chance! I also started taking 1 tsp a day orally of the raw coconut oil to help clean from the insi

Pros:
improves skin texture
fades scars
can apply all over body, face , hair
Cons:
very greasy feeling
i suffered with acne for 2 years, was finally put on doxycylline and benzol peroxide which made me clear after 5 months ( painfully long i know but its worth it), but i had trouble fading the many deep scars left over from my acne. i had been using bio oil which improved my scars a little however it was only when my best friend told me about the anti aging benefits of coconut oil, i have been using it for 2 week now every night and leave in on all night to soak into my skin, in conjunction with bio oil i woke up this morning and only noticed for the first time in 2 years my skin was clear, 100 percent and my scars had faded significantly, my skin is smooth aswell. i wouldn't reccemend this to people still suffering with acne as it could promote more breakouts, but for those who know how to manage their skin and are looking for a scar improver/ anti ager i would definitly reccemend this. ** my best friends aunty layed out in the sun all her life and her skin is brown tanned and like leather now, however for the last 10 years she had been using coconut oil on her face, and she is now 50 and has no wrinkles, not one!!!!!!!

Pros:
Got rid of my cystic acne & redness
Works as a WONDERFUL tanning oil
Cheap, one jar lasts me around 6 months
Cons:
Gave me a few blackheads on the sides of my face, where i had no previous problems
It's kindof a give&take method. I'll continue to use it all over face/body just because it acts as an amazing tanning oil. I baught mine online since there arent any natural food stores in my area. Extra virgin!

Pros:
Feels great going on, soaks up nicely, smells delightful, reduces size of pimples overnight
Cons:
none so far
Last night I went to new seasons and bought this stuff, used it overnight and there is already an improvement in my skin. I only have problems on my chin and forehead but I put it all over. Not only do my breakouts appear smaller, but my cheeks and everywhere else I put it glows with moisture. I will continue to use and re post future results!
Pros:
Softens skin
Reduces inflamation and redness
