Pros:

Cleared my blackheads on my forehead consistently

Cons:

Broke me out worse than i was when i started and i am already 3 months in.

Contributed to multiple, inflammed pimpled all over my face.

Supposed antibiotic in it does NOTHING to quell inflammation

Very drying (especially if used in combination with other products)

Not consistent at all as one day I'd be clearing up and the next day I'd be broken out again.

Never stopped new pimples from popping up. Three months in and i still get 2-3 new pimples EVERYDAY.

This was work for some people but in my experience, it didn't work for me. My acne was mild to start with and i ended up getting multiple inflamed pimples that don't have pus, are red and show up on known breakout areas (chin) but also unknown areas (such as cheeks which are normally clear). Very disappointed in the time and effort i was on this product.

Pros:

cleared almost ALL blackheads
worked quickly and very well at first

Cons:

extremely dry/sun sensitive skin
if you quit using it, face breaks out much worse

It worked well for about 3 weeks and then almost overnight my face dried out so badly I couldnt even put lotion on to help because it hurt so badly. I tried the nurses advice and started skipping a day in between using the gel, but my face was broken out so badly I couldnt get it back under control without it drying my skin and causing extreme peeling.

Pros:

-worked lightly.
-Despite being a gel, was not fast absorbing.
-A LOT was in the tube!!
-was non-drying.

Cons:

-Did very little about my acne.

I have been using the Ziana gel for 5 months, mostly just to finish up the tube, it has SO MUCH in it!! But it did nothing, honestly. It's gentle and non-drying, but I'd rather have something abrasive that gets the job done that I might have to pack on the lotion for. Overall, did nothing for my acne even after long-term usage.

Pros:

none

Cons:

I used the product for less than a week. I used it exactly as directed -- a tiny pea sized amount once a day. Instead of improvement, I broke out in the worst rash. My entire face broke out!! Every inch of my face is in painful sores.

Of course I immediately using the product, but this happened on the weekend so I have to wait until morning to call the doc. Luckily, I hadn't purchased the product. She gave me a tiny sample tube, which I didn't get half way through. I wish I read this site before using the product.

NONE

Cons:

GOOD STUFF

I have had acne ever since I was 15. I am 26 now and I am still fighting it. Sometimes it is mild and sometimes it is so bad I want to hide and never come out of the house. Acne has really affected my life. I am going to say that two years ago I used ziana and it completely cleared my acne. My face was so clear people couldn't even believe I had acne before but now two years after my skin is again horrible, I think way worst that before. I have tried all acne medications out there without good results.

Pros:

Cleared my skin completely in conjunction with a 4% Benzoyl Peroxide wash.

Cons:

I naturally have oily skin so my skin is etra oily when I use it. The first few weeks my skin peeled a lot; however, I would rather have dry skin than huge cystic acne. The dryness decreases over time.

I like it because it clears skin fast-- it will break down even the toughest pimples. Patience is required because of the peeling and oilyness it provokes.

Pros:

Brings down inflammation

Cons:

Leaves behind extremely stubborn pigmentation all over your face, expensive even with insurance

I was happy with Ziana when I first started using it. But now I have spots left all over my face where I used the product to clear my skin. The pimples went down, but now they're all under the skin. The spots left behind are brown and only on one side of my face and don't respond to salicylic acid face wash. Don't buy this, try something else.

Pros:

this product definitely is minimizing how bad each pimple gets. I don't have any drying side effects that I was getting with other products.

Cons:

I am still getting a lot of pimples but they go away quickly and are not as deep.

I have only been using this product a week and am hoping that it works even better over time. It is a little better now but not enough that I would stick with it if it doesn't show more progress after another month. I do not find this product sticky like many others have said, but I do feel like my skin is oilier in the morning than it was before when I put the Ziana on the night before. I use this product every night.

Pros:

My acne scars have been fading, my pores appear smaller, and so far, I have only minor breakouts.

Cons:

The Ziana gel feels sticky on my face, I have a cough with phlegm, and my face gets extremely oily by the end of the day. I've been getting headaches lately, I'm not sure if it's because of Ziana.

My face got much worse at first. I became depressed with all the acne on my face. After about two weeks I began to notice improvement. It's been almost a month now and my skin feels a lot smoother, the scars are fading away. I still get one or two pimples but they clear away in a few days (versus months, sometimes). I have also switched all of the products that I use on my face. I only use products that say Non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic, and oil-free (including my foundation). I use benzoyl peroxide for spot treatment when I have a pimple. I do plan to continue using this prodct, but I am cautious not to overuse it (just a little before bed time).

Pros:

Really works. I never imagined anything would ever work on my skin. Even though I have moderate acne, I have sensitive and troublesome skin.

Cons:

Honestly, none. My skin hasn't suffered more than what it has in the past, that's for sure.

I wrote a review a week and a half ago. Just updating. Ziana has done wonders for me. Sometimes I can't believe it myself. Initially the outbreaks accelerated, I didn't mind at first because I figured it was doing its thing. Then I began to worry because it seemed to overly accelerate, I switched it to every other day and that seems to have worked. Haven't had major breakouts, no huge sweltering pimples. I have a few small ones, barely visible. I think its important to note that I don't use Ziana in conjunction with any other acne product, topical or oral. Only stuff I use is a cleanser and a moisturizer, from my derm. I used to exfoliate my skin, but I found that it dried and irritated it a lot, so stopped. I drink lots of water to keep hydrated since my doctor told me I have "dry oil". Keeping it simple. So far, so good. My skin has been able to recuperate from all the past pimples and redness. I'm very happy... so far. I'll see how it pans out in the long
