Pros:

Starts to clear up acne within a few weeks

Cons:

gives you oily skin

When I started to use this product, I noticed results within a few days. My skin started to feel more smooth. Before i started Ziana i was on Retin-a and all that did for me was dry up my skin and i looked like i was sunburnt in the middle of winter. Lately I have noticed that the product has been bringing white heads and pipples. Hopefully with in a few weeks they will clear up

Pros:

Helps acne a little... not much

Cons:

Causes VERY oily skin and doesn't really help acne that much.

Ziana really wasn't helpful in terms of clearing acne. At first my skin broke out a lot which was to be expected. I was told it could take up to 8 weeks. Even at that point my skin still had acne on it. At 10 weeks I had my dermatologist appointment again and we decided to switch to Differin. It had the same major ingredient but at .3% (opposed to .1%.) I have been using it for a week now and it has been great! I think people who use the major ingredient at .1% don't see good results while at .3% get great results. This will cause your skin to dry out but some moisturizer and you'll be all set. Something else: When using Ziana my skin became very VERY oily. 30 minutes after washing my face the oil was already built up on my face. I'm not sure why Ziana caused this but this incredible oilness made me hate it to begin with. I wouldn't recommend Ziana. I WOULD recommend Benzaclin and Differin in terms of tropical creams. In terms of antibiotics minocylin

Pros:

It's easy to apply and does an adequate job at slowly suppressing outbreaks. The tube will probably last you about a year, its HUGE!

Cons:

Cost! I needed to pay for it up front and then have the insurance reimburse. It also takes 8-9 weeks to see serious results. Patience! Patience!

It works. If you can deal with the cost and the time, then Ziana is definitely worth a try. Don't expect a miracle to 100% clear but it drastically reduced the amount of acne on my face. I would also suggest washing pillowcases more frequently w/Ziana. It seemed to me like the gel could easily build up on fabric. Bottom Line: Give it a shot and give it some time. I don't regret it at all.

Pros:

Clear gel. Great for scabs, scars or to just dry out the pimple. doesnt leave white residue, no burning, not as drying as other atopical meds.

Cons:

none so far.

Ziana-a antibiotic (cleomycin) + a tiny bit of retin a. i put it on this nasty little black scab and the next day, i just peeled the dark little bugger off and voila-fresh baby pink skin underneath. it's ONLY for night applications and spot treatment the derm said. So far so good-everyday my cystic acne is looking less bigger and less red. i have insurance so it was only $5.00 but i read if you don't, its somewhere in the $300 range?! thats insane-if you don't have insurance, then dont get this gel. its good but not $300 worth of good! better off spending your money on light treatment or a esthetician. i see one every other month and she makes my face all better-it's so worth seeing one. i pay her $65 and she exfoliates, tones, masks, moisturizes and zaps my zits with a light wand. it HELPS.

Pros:

Lightweight; Only need to put a little on (pea-sized); Works EXTREMELY well!

Cons:

Stains clothing; if too much is put on it causes irritation and it makes you REALLY sensitive to the sun..so be sure to apply sun lotion when going outside even the next day.

I have tried SO many medications, prescription and all the natural stuff listed on this site, and NOTHING worked! My acne had been so bad for the last two years, I'd be popping so many zits everyday. Then I did Dan Kern's Regimen, which helped a lot, but my face felt like it was permanently sun burned (keep in mind BP promotes free radicals), even though it wasn't. So I saw the derm and demanded Acutane, but since my acne cleared up more from Dan Kern's Regimen, he recommended Ziana and Benziq/Benprox (5.25% BP Face Wash). When you first start using Ziana, you'' notice that your face is really really oily, but that is because it's getting rid of all the sebum/oil in your face. And the best part is..the oil never caused me to break out! My Regimen Now: Morning: Wash Face with Benprox 5.25% Face Wash; apply moisturizer if needed Night: Wash Face with Benprox 5.25% Face Wash; Wait for face to dry then apply a pea-sized amount of Ziana and apply it evenly throughout you

Pros:

None

Cons:

Very expensive $170 out of pocket with coupon and insurance would only pay $50. Very sensitive to sunburn. I think the derms are getting a big kick back from this company because the docs are pushing it hard and patients are not seeing improvments

If you enjoy throwing away your money and wasting time applying then go for it.

Pros:

Helps my acne heal faster. If I have a pimple starting, Ziana helps it heal faster and the pimples almost never come to a head. Didnt really irritate my skin. HUGE BOTTLE!! Its been 3 months and i'm not even half way through it yet.! Awsome plus.

Cons:

Took me about 6 weeks to see results. Kina expensive if you dont have good insurance.

I only had mild to moderate acne and it worked okay for me. Not a miracle worker but might wanna give it a try.
