Pros:

Very nice so far, it's clearing my acne pretty fast and is brightening my complexion.

Cons:

It was expensive for me, but the tube is very big and you don't use that much of it. Also i did break out a little bit at first.

i havn't used this product very long, almost 2 weeks now. I used Duac for 2 1/2 years and was VERY happy with it but eventually i stopped noticing improvement and started to break out instead of get better. So i went to the doctor and the next night i used Ziana. I was very scared to use it after reading all the reviews but i figured i'd give it a shot. I was already breaking out before i used it so i don't really know if i should blame breaking out on Ziana, but now my face is practically clear! It's been working really well for me so far and i can't wait to finally achieve clear skin. I'm pretty positive it will work well

Pros:

Cleared my acne without drying out my skin. I like that it has 0.025% Tretinoin which has anti-aging benefits

Cons:

Smells Awful! I wish it came in a cream and smelled as pleasant Renova.

Good Product, I will continue to use it!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Ziana made my face worse. My face peeled so bad that even make up couldn't cover it up...it made it look worse! I looked like a freak and couldn't even cover it up!!!

Ziana didn't work, it made me just look like a huge peeled zit! And I couldn't hide it either since my face was peeling so bad. The cost was around $500 but my derm. gave me a coupon so I ended up paying $25.00. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody!

Pros:

Worked quickly
Doesn't overdry skin
Helps even out skin tone

Cons:

none

In my case, ziana gel has worked very well. It doesn't overdry my skin & my derm explained to me that ziana gel can be mixed with moisturizer & not interfer with the medication's effectiveness. This is a crucial fact to know because mixing the medication with moisturizer helps eliminate overdrying problems & the sticky feeling that the gel can have on your face. Everyone must understand that each person's body & acne are going to react differently to different acne treatments. But the bottom line is treating acne doesn't just involve smearing a cream on your face at night. You have to put in the man hours to make it really work. My derm instructed me to buy panoxyl to wash my face. I opted for the 2.5% facial formula & it's worked well. I also use a cleansing mask once a week to help draw out trapped bacteria. I wear makup that is least likely to bother my skin & remove it as soon as I come home. I use the walmart brand facial hydrating cloths to remove my makeup & for quick cleansi

Pros:

Works really well on non-cystic acne, skin without cysts is clear and glows, helps to heal lesions that have opened up

Cons:

Doesn't do much for cystic acne at all, skin feels sticky and oily when gel is on, dries out skin A LOT for a couple of months

It absolutely has helped my acne, but I'm still not pimple-free (though my guess is that I never will be, since I'm now 28 and still haven't "grown out of it"). I looked in the mirror tonight and thought "My skin would be really nice if I didn't have these couple of huge cysts!" What I mean by that is that it really works to clear the small stuff, but just doesn't help my cystic acne at all. That said, I would still recommend it, because I can't even imagine what my latest breakout would have looked like without it.

Pros:

It has not dried out my skin whatsoever

Cons:

my acne has progressed, if not much worse than before.

My dermatologist insists that it works and takes up to a month to see results, but my acne is so much worse than before, that I have trouble going out during the day. My acne has gotten so bad, that I feel the need to cake on my makeup, even during school (i go to an all girls school). It has yet to work and at this rate, I really don't think it will. Oh well. At least it was cheap.

Pros:

Really works, seeing dramatic improvement, dries nicely into skin (not sticky or goopy)

Cons:

Peeing/flaking skin (minor though - I was much worse on Retin-A), occasional redness from irritation, makes skin very prone to sunburn

I was very skeptical when my new dermatologist gave me samples and a presctription for Ziana. I had tried everything in the past with little success (Retin-A, oral medecines, chemical peels, laser treatments), and nothing really worked. I thought it would be the same for this, but much to my surprise Ziana has worked miracles! I have been using it for about 4 weeks now and my skin has never looked better. I have only had 3-4 very minor pimples the past 4 weeks (was getting about 3-4 per week before), and the best part is that it has really evened out my skin tone from past breakouts. Red scars are fading and I am feeling much more confident about my skin (if only it healed pock marks!). I am truly amazed at how well this has worked. I only use this product once every 2-3 days as I was getting some flaking/peeling and had some redness when I was using it every day. Scaling it back has done the trick. Also, you want to wear AT LEAST SPF 30 while using this, as skin sunburns

Pros:

with insurance it is very affordable

Cons:

it gets worse a lot at the beginning

i am still unsure of ziana. i nearly used it for three weeks, but my face got worse. it is so bad i don't even want to talk to people. my cheek became very red, and there was a breakout on my forehead. worth mentioning though, was that my skin did get better in the end of the second week but suddenly very worse after a few days. so far, my skin had been worse than before i used ziana. i regretted a little bit that i started to use it, but i hope that things would really get better in a month (which is so long!). no other acne products had cured my acne problem in three years. also, a peasized amount is not enough to spread across the whole face.
