Pros:

Reduces Redness (after awhile)
Small Amount Applied

Cons:

Avoid Sunlight
Skin Peels
Burns

The stuff works for light acne.Only a small amount is needed at night before bed. If too much is applied it will burn your skin. My skin has cleared up, and any breakout I get I rinse my face with warm water, pat dry, and apply a pea-sized on the affected area. Pimple is nearly gone the next day. Very happy! :)

Pros:

- May work for people with dry skin.

Cons:

- Caused extremely oily skin.
- Did not diminish acne.

I used Ziana for a month. I remember at one point touching my face and being completely shocked by the amount of oil that appeared on my fingers. My skin has always been a bit dry, but this cream made my face practically ooze oil. Worse yet, my acne did not decrease (or increase). I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with oily skin or severe acne. I can't remember if it purged my skin, but my dermatologist warned me that it would.

Pros:

works!
HUGE tube

Cons:

takes a while, you gotta just keep at it

my acne was never bad, it was light-moderate when i went to a dermatologist. she gave me this ziana gel (and a bp wash for morning) so i use it every night, pea sized amount, and moisturizer. for a longgggg time it didn't seem to be doing much, i'd still get a pimple here and there but the problem was my picking. soon as i stopped, my skin has been virtually clear and if something comes up during the day it looks worlds better in the morning. its kinda expensive, and thats with a coupon from the derm for 3 tubes at 20$ each, i think its originally like $80 or something so good value plus the tube is enormous and you don't need much at all so overall its good value.

Pros:

A little goes a long way.
1 step, once a day
Kinda expensive

Cons:

Didn't help much with acne
non-Stop purging
very drying

Here's my acne story. Around October, got a really bad break out while using Proactiv. Switched to Murad. Made everything worse. Went to dermatologist. Got Ziana. Cleared up the effect of Murad, but didn't help with any acne that i had before Murad, so now I'm back to square one. Ziana has something in it called retin-something lol that causes skin to purge. It is supposed to stop after a while, but my face never stopped purging. It also dried me out really bad, even though I used a heavy moisturizer twice a day too. This product didn't work for me, but it has been a miracle for one of my friends. Everyone is different. If your dermatologist prescribes this, try it. :) P.S.- I am a 14-year old girl. Thought that might help since adult and teen acne IS different.

Pros:

Reduces redness from scars quickly
Get a lot for the money
Not harsh on skin
Seems to be reducing pore size

Cons:

Can make skin oily
Some improvement in skin texture but not clear yet.

I am on week 3 of Ziana. I'm 25, female and just this past few months I've been getting crazy breakouts in areas I've never had before. I think it's stress related. Ziana has worked well so far. It cleared up areas where I had a lot of acne and the scars healed a lot quicker than they have before. I am also taking Doryx everyday (150mg) and washing my face twice a day with a glycolic wash and using Aczone as a daily spot treatment. I haven't seen a huge improvement, but I am seeing some improvement, which makes me want to stick with it. Everyone else on here says you have to be patient. I'm giving it another month. I have a few pimples now but no where near what it used to be so I am thankful for that. I also am getting monthly microdermabrasions from my dermatologist, which is really supposed to help. Have a dermatologist do your microderms, not an aesthetician. Dermatologists can go over your active pimples to suck everything out of them to bleed them out. Aestheticians cannot go over your active pimples. One word of advice to people: Your Acne is never as bad to others as it appears to you! Also, stress is VERY powerful. Your skin reacts to how you feel. Reducing stress should really help!

Pros:

I got it for Free. My derm gave me a card for one free tube and the tube is huge! You only use a pea size for your entire face (it's considered a 'gel' but it's really a gel/watery consistency which makes it easy to spread). I've been using it for almost 3 months and i've only made a tiny dent in the tube.

Cons:

-skin looks a little more oily/shiny
-drys your skin (I'm also using Duac in the morning so it could be that also)
-This stuff PURGES your skin, everything comes out so expect to break out in the beginning.

My face is clearing up. It takes awhile before you see results. I think I was up to week 6 before I finally started noticing results. I was frustrated up to the point where I was going to switch derms but hang in there it does work.

Pros:

great skin clearing, anti-aging benefits of a retinoid (helps cell turnover and collagen regeneration)

Cons:

can cause redness for sensitive skin, can't use this if you have a history of ulcerative colitis etc

A little goes a long way. Do not use a lot. Worked very well for me. For those that have reported acne getting worse while using it, this sometimes has to happen, any current acne pustules on your face that are already beginning to surface need to purge so you can clean the pores. It may take 8-12 weeks before you get optimum results so you have to be patient with any acne medication. With this product you also need to gradually use. I do not use this everyday. Start using 1 day/week and work up. It may be helpful to use an oral antibiotic in addition to the topical use of Ziana for the 1st month as my doctor did. I have adult combination acne (cystic and papules) and this is the best my skin has looked. I use this product 2-3x/ week and then I started using a natural green clay mask 1x every 2 weeks. (Indian Healing Clay: Calcium Bentonite) P.S. I paid nothing for this product go to Medicis Medisave program on Ziana's website to get a coupon. My dermatologist also gave me a manufacturers coupon for 1 free 60g tube.

Pros:

Worked initially.

Cons:

Stopped working after a week. Make skin red and dry.

The first time i used this i was amazed with the results. My active pimples were almost completely dried up by the next morning. Unfortunately, it stopped working for me after a week. It also made my skin very red (I have fair skin).
