Pros:

Worked beautifly.

Cons:

Stopped working.

I have been using this for a couple of years. For the first year, it cleared up my skin so well. I have very oily skin also, and it seemed to have helped that too. After a while though, it stopped working. I started breaking out (my problem is mainly whiteheads with the occasional pimple). My skin became very oily again and I'm so upset because now I have to find something else! UGH!

Pros:

it really works wonders!

Cons:

a little dryness

i think you have to continually use this medication, because as soon as 2-3 months of not using it i started to break out like crazy. this medication works though, the only thing is if you don't have insurance it could get really pricey.

Pros:

Starts clearing skin very quickly.

Cons:

Drys skin, use with moisturizer. Could be pricey without insurance.

It works.

Pros:

Worked right away, my skin was smooth and the pimples were gone. The reddness was gone.

Cons:

I was still left with light acne scars on my cheeks. My skin was super dry (mostly around my mouth). Turned my pillow cases white along with my bed sheets.

My doctor told me I might have to use this for along time just to control my breakouts. Stopped using it for 2 months some pimples came back. I didn't breakout like crazy. It was under control. It's a great product and it was the only thing to ever work for me other than birthcontrol pills.

Pros:

It gets the job done, reduces amount size, and scarring.

Cons:

hard to apply all over back, luckily though, you can see where you missed almost the next day because it clears up so fast.

Get this stuff, even if it only gets half of it, its better than none.

Pros:

Works fast on new acne

Cons:

I had extremely dry skin for the first 2 months

It's worth it! This stuff is amazing

Pros:

It really works wonders and clears you up, BUT...

Cons:

Causes severe colitis

I didnt know thw reason of my upset stomach and rectal bleeding, had that for more than a month. I checked the benzaclin warnings and it said it may cause severe colitis due to the clyndamicin. As soon as i stopped with the treatment in about a week i stopped the bleeding and i feel super happy. But guess what, i have more pimples now than ever in my life and im using tazorac and taking minocycline and no improvement. The panoxyl makes my pimples go red and idk what else to do. ;(

Cons:

can not skip a day, smells bad.

IT WORKS! & I LOVE IT

Pros:

Works like a charm. Nothing over-the-counter compares to its effectiveness. Had acne around my mouth and chin for years and nothing else worked. This does for me. And it's done so for the past four years. My face is clear and smooth.

Cons:

Price. But well worth it if you have insurance. It doesn't take much of this stuff to be effective.

Try it for 30 days. Ask your MD or dermatologist to give you a prescription to just try it to see if it works for you. Nothing but high praise for this stuff from me. One jar ($35 with insurance) lasts me three months.

Pros:

Very fast acting and fast healing for fresh breakouts. If you suffer from inflamed acne it greatly reduces the redness and swelling. The two ingredients contained in bezaclin, just simply makes sense. BP for killing p acne bacteria and clinda(swelling

Cons:

It will mess with the ph balance of your skin, so be prepared to counter that affect with a good lotion that works for you. Also as stated by other reviews it will bleach any hair or clothes it comes into contact with( But we all know that?)

One last con I had about benzaclin is that it is very expensive..."if" you don't have health insurance or if it isn't covered in your insurance plan.one pricing example would be what my perscription that I use= Size-25g jar. Price with insurance= $10.00/ without insurance=25g=137.99. Last maybe a month to a month 1/2 depending on the affected surface area and how much is required. I use it twice a day and cover my whole face lightly. But even though it is a lil costly it has worked better than anything else I've ever used and I mean everything, from verious tv advertised products to "all" over- the- counter products. Try it out! Goodluck!
