Pros:

cleared up acne, even cystic acne
works alone, without oral antibiotics

Cons:

severe dryness and some redness during the first couple of weeks
bleaches fabrics
takes a few weeks to start working

If you have the patience to stick through it during the dry, peeling phase, and patience to wait for it to work, its VERY worth it. It has cleared up almost all of my acne, when nothing else has worked and I've tried many other products. I'd give it a 5 star, but the dryness was horrible.

Pros:

Keeps acne under control, no fowl smell, fast and easy to apply

Cons:

It's a prescription, can be harsh on the skin, makes acne worse if you don't stay consistent

This is a good medication for those who want to keep acne under control, but it did not completely get rid of my acne. I needed to use another cleanser just to keep my face smooth and clean-feeling because this medication left it dried out and peeling because of the ingredients. Whenever I would skip using it, even for one day, my acne would flare up and get even worse than it was to begin with! If you stick with the medication and have only moderate acne, this product should be fine.

Pros:

Cleared up most of my bad acne- which I've had since I was 10!

Cons:

Drying, and can be itchy- didn't clear ALL of my acne, but it's better than before.

I've started using this product 2 months ago- I've had very severe acne about the age of 10- I tried everything- Proactive, AcneFree, some pills- ect, so out of all of those products, this works pretty well (: It gets very drying and itchy, but you can see results- dries up my zits overnight sometimes which makes me feel better

Pros:

I get large cysts and i had one form right as i was prescribed this product. within three days my acne was gone. the big cysts and the little pimples. i was so amazed!

Cons:

it does dry out the skin.. BUT when you get this from a doctor they tell you that your skin will be dry and you are more likely to get sun burned.

it works great just be sure to moisturize and protect with sun screen.

Pros:

This product actually works!

Cons:

Extremely Dry Skin. Face felt like was cracking and going to fall off when did any facial movements. LOL but serious.

I know everyone is different. Try it! I'm half way to my 40's and have suffered from acne all my life. Needless to say my Jr high and High School pictures sucked. I've literally been through countless OTC and a few Rx. It's way over due considering almost half my life is gone but now I can struct my stuff with head held high instead of walking with head down. Oh it is expensive, would have been $80 but insurance covered it. There's also coupons out there and well worth it.

Pros:

Easy to apply, very fast results, it works!!!

Cons:

Made my face red, itchy and painful, dry and peeling, with fine lines around mouth, but only for the 3rd week, not any more.

I broke out for the first time in my life at age 26, 2 months before my wedding! Needless to say, I was desperate to get rid of these horrible pustules around my mouth. I *never* post on boards, so this just shows how well duac works. Although the doc also prescribed doxycycline, I haven't been taking it, since a previous course of tetracycline gave me really bad runs and stomachache. So I've only been taking duac, and putting moisturizer on top 15 minutes later, only at night for the first 3 weeks, then morning and night for the last week. I've been drinking lots of water, exercising, eating healthy and cutting out sugar and trying to stress less too, which I'm sure helps, but the duac has got rid of all my spots (I had about 15) except 2, which are subsiding, within 4 weeks. The marks left are n't so severe either. II get it for £7.20 on the NHS which will probably last me 4 months.I love duac!

Pros:

This is heaven in a tub!

Cons:

Can lead to dryness, redness and itching especially with sensitive skin. Applying a layer of bio oil before application works as a barrier if you have sensitive skin... so problem solved! Its really brilliant

Get it, try it, then love it!

Pros:

If your from the UK you can get it for free on the NHS so it costs nothing. Clears skin up alot better than any other cream i have used and my acne ranged from mild-moderate with cysts.

Cons:

If you use it every day you can go through a tube in about 6-8 weeks so if your paying can be alot. Wash your face in the morning as if it gets wet but not washed off it seems to burn a little but nothing i couldnt handle.

I had moderate acne with cysts for several months and pretty much gave up all hope as i did not want to try roacutane at the time and i found this hiding in the cuboard and had never used it as gels had never works for me before. I started to use it and to be honest after about 6 weeks i saw a MASSIVE improvement, the effects do seem to wear off the more you use it, i have been on it for about 6 months-ish now and i still get the occasional bad breakout but this does help indeed, iv never wrote on this site before but i just had to share with you that it did indeed help me alot, now i am on roacutane and ill write up how that went after my 3 month period on it is up, only 1 month in at the moment.

Pros:

It does work.. but i think depending on how long you allow it to work and whether your regimen is consistent e.g used daily before bed.

Cons:

Increase in redness of spots. Use this product thinly.

I've been using this product for about 6 weeks. Sometimes the mild to moderate acne is looking great, then overnight in the morning it will look worse. Not sure if this is related to my hormones/implanon though. I've noticed it works really well on existing pimples but doesn't seem to prevent new ones forming (but that could work with longer consistent use of the product) Definitely give the product a try, it works differently for everyone.

Pros:

Helps clear up acne, and prevent new spots from appearing and helps
Get rid of blemishes, which on black skin is worser then having acne as the
spots go but they last for years...

Cons:

May bleach bed sheets and pillows

This duac cream works wonders notice a difference four days after using it When ever I have a spot I pull the cream out and the spot is gone in a matter if days. I have to only use it once a couple of weeks as I've noticed its made my face a bit lighter And I don't won't to look like a bleached out black person when in fact I love my brown skin! I'm from the UK and I'm not intitled to free prescriptions, but here in the UK you only pay £7.60 for any one prescription. So in total I've spent no more than £15, I'm Now using my second tube! Hehe. Not sure how much in US dollars but dirt cheap for a product Folks have to pay hundreds for.
