Pros:

Good product! Heals acne FAST! Evens skin tone.

Cons:

Dries skin out but not too badly. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS EXACTLY and only use a SMALL amount. I reccommend to NOT use a moisturizer bc it can make things worse. It will only appear to be dry after the first hour of application, after its fine.

Overall its a great product/ Ive only been on it for 3 days but ive seen improvment fast. Even thought its a bit pricey, i highly reccomend it. And ive tried EVERYTHING. even proactive, which didnt help.

Pros:

Keeps you clear if you use it consistently. Dries up cyst-like pimples in days.

Cons:

Can be drying...and you may experience redness and peeling for at least 2 weeks before your skin adjusts to it.

I've been on Benzaclin for 8 years now. It has worked great for me! I had big cyst-like pimples all over my face, but once I got started on the Benzaclin, it has cleared up my face dramatically. I still get pimples around the time of my period--but that's a hormonal thing. For the rest of the month, my face is pretty clear and smooth. Benzaclin definitely works...but you have to be patient...it'll take at least 2 months before you start seeing real results...and that's if you use it correctly and consistently. But once it starts working, you'll definitely see a huge difference.

Pros:

I have developed acne in my 40s after having very little acne as a teenager. My dermatologist says it's a combination of acne and roseacea. Benzaclin has been the best product for me so far.

Cons:

Have to keep using it after the acne clears and makes my sensitive skin a little red. I have the tendency to stop using it after my skin clears up and then it gets worse again - so I make myself use it everyday now.

I had been on oral many antibiotics, evoclin, various washes, and Benzaclin has worked best for me. I had stomach problems with erythromycin and it didn't do much, tetracycline did very little, doxycycline didn't do much for me, and minocin worked well but gave me severe headaches and muscle pains, so I had to stop, and amoxicillin worked very well but I didn't want to take anything oral for more than a few months. Metrogel made my acne worse. Now I wash in the morning with Rosula and apply Benzaclin after I shave and wash gently before bed and use the Benz at night. After three years, this is the first product that worked will without side affects for me and I don't have to take any oral meds.

Cons:

Did not work at first

I used to use Duac for about a month and a half and saw no change.....i wore it during the day and didnt avoid sun contact and nothing happened, but no one told me anything about putting it in the fridge. i want to kno if anyone can help me out with why to put it in the fridge.

Pros:

I saw results overnight, and I love immediate gratification.

Cons:

After the initial clear up, I'm breaking out. I think it's bringing everything to the surface, and the bumps are really dry. It's difficult for make up wearers...isn't everything?

It seems to be working better than most other treatments, but like all things, it's taking time, and patience. I don't have insurance, but my derm gave me a few sample jars, and i didn't have to pay for this medication at all. Can't beat free!

Pros:

It started to clear my skin up quite a bit within 3 weeks and slowed down oil production initially. Brought a lot of spots to the surface.

Cons:

It made my skin look worse before it got any better. But it seemed to stop working after about the seventh week, i've not seen any improvement since then.

Decent product but maybe my acne needs something a bit stronger to shift it.

Pros:

works really fast and effectively!

Cons:

the Dryness. very little itching.

use only a very thin layer, a little goes a long way. my doctor reccomended me just once a day so i use it at night after i've washed my face and in the morning i wash my face again and put on oil free moisturizer. simple as that.

Pros:

Works fast, bleaches blackheads, if you have an open pore from a pimple it will seep in and dry out the pimple fast.

Cons:

Works only temporarily- 6 mths to a year, then your skin adjusts. Bleaches towels and clothes like pro-active and clear-skin regime. Expensive.

I've used this for a year, worked alone for 9 months, then alternating evenings with Rx Differin. Together these worked for awhile, and now my skin returned to the same, no worse, no better. I never had burns or major stinging, and no redness. Do not over-apply, this will waste product, and results will not change. I read all the postings on this before I took it, this info should help you. I keep Benzaclin in my make-up bag for emergencies- It does clear up the juicers. (Eww, lol.) I'm only taking Differin because my pharmacist suggested it, but I am switching to baking soda after reading the postings on it.

Pros:

Using this and Retin-A Micro has cleared up some of my acne after only a few days.

Cons:

My skin, especially around my mouth is very dry and red, and has been peeling.

I've only been using this for about a week, so I'm not sure yet. Hopefully the peeling improves soon.
