Pros:

Works great in clearing acne and drying oily skin. Very affordable ($1.00) and readily available. Highest over the counter percent of Benzoyl Peroxide (%10). Amazing product overall. This works better than most RX (Differin, Tazorac, Retin-A).

Cons:

May cause some redness, peeling and stinging on skin. However, no worse than most acne creams. My skins use to these products so it doesn't hurt at all. Other than that... no cons.

This shouldn't be a problem for non-sensitive skin.

When I saw this product at the Dollar General Store selling for $1.00 I dismissed it immediately. Surely, something so cheap and over the counter couldn't possibly work. One day upon returning home from classes my aunt had purchased me a tube. I let it sit on the shelves for about two months. Then, I experience a terrible break out of acne. First, I applied my Benzoyl Peroxide 4 % topical creamy wash. Afterward, I applied a small film of Dr. Sheffield's Clear-zit to my face and patted my face with a towel. I did this so the product would cover the entire surface area of my face and keep it all clear. Then, I put a generous amount on each of the effected areas and rubbed it in vigorously. The next morning I could tell the product was drying the acne and working well. Three days later my face was nearly clear. I continued applications of the two products and at five days I was completely clear. As of now I apply these products daily to stay ahead of the game! I highly rec

Pros:

Dries up zits fast, cleared my blackheads on my nose that I've had for at least 10 years. I use it mostly for spot treatment and once or twice a week on my nose. Also very cheap, found it at the discount store.

Cons:

The high concentration is drying. It does make the area peel or look irritated a few days after use. I cut it with moisturizer to about half and half and it cuts way down on the dryness. Using a cotton swab for application precision also cuts down on

It's worth it to me to put up with the cons to get the quick and consistent results. And the price is right.

Pros:

Doctored for acne on an off all my adult life. All treatments very expensive and no clear results. I realized that all had benzoyl peroxide and/or salycilic acid. Clearzit is very cheap and I do see results with it.

Cons:

On first applications, clearzit caused redness and dryness. I used an oil free moisurizer to help with this. I even mixed them at first to lower the concentration of BP. Still if I use in a new area, I expect redness and irritation.

Clearzit is the cheapest BP product I have found. The concentration is higher and with some care it can be more effective than expensive prescriptions. I use Clearzit Morning and Night after cleansing with Dove soap or a cleanser with Salycilic Acid. In the summer I use a toner with witch hazel between and in the winter I follow clearzit with an oil free moisturizer. I recommend Biore products to fill in the gaps. After countless expensive facial products and prescriptions, I figured it out myself. I wish someone had told me this when I was a teenager!!!

Pros:

I put it on before bed and when I wake up my bumps are dried out. No questions asked. They have not disappeared, no, but they are no longer red and they are much smaller in size.

Cons:

It does burn when you put it on. But that just means it's working for me. And the bumps are dried out as is the skin around the bump. But honestly, I would rather have a little flakiness than the bump.

It works. No joke. Buy a moisturizer or put some lotion on to clear up the dry areas. It isn't severe. The burning is not throbbing pain either. It is an unpleasant tingling. But beauty has its price, right? Plus it is way cheap. I did not expect it to work, but I was wrong.
