Pros:

Smells great
Works in days
Moderately priced

Cons:

Pump breaks

I have been using Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Moisturizer for 4 days now. I've washed my face in the morning and at night with the foaming cleanser and have followed it with the moisturizer after giving time for my face to dry. Only one pump of the moisturizer is needed to place a thin layer all over my face. I have already noticed a difference in my complexion. The redness in my face has disappeared and much of the whiteheads and blackheads are gone. I still have a bump or two on my face but their presence has radically diminished. I have very oily skin and am always fighting shine over the day ' this has dried my face out enough to where I don't need to carry powder anymore. I have used a variety of products over the year fighting acne over the last 12 years and so far I have been the most pleased with this one. I'll write another review after I finish the bottle!

Pros:

- works but very slowly
- gentle
- leaves skin soft and feeling smooth
- unclogs pores

Cons:

- a bit pricey
- no spf
- maybe the smell for some people

I'd gotten rid of my acne using bp for about 1 and a half years. It used to be moderate/severe, and I was so happy I was finally clear. But starting January, I started to break out again. Not just a few pimples but a massive breakout on my T-zone, jawline and around the mouth. I didn't know what caused this to happen, but I figured out it was because pores were clogged from using vitamin E oil on my face. I've stopped using the oil for about 3 weeks now. (Yeah it took me a long time to figure out it was the oil). I didn't want to use bp because I didn't want to go through the harsh process of stinging, the drying and the flaking again. So since my acne is back on b/c of clogged pores, I figured something with salicylic acid would be good since it unclogs pores. I only use it when I'm at home since it doesn't have spf. I use Aveeno's positively radiating moisturizer when I'm out. I really like this product. It's working pretty good. It doesn't give you immediate results like benzoyl peroxide, but I can see that its slowly working. Combined with facial steaming every other day, and weekly exfoliation, it's slowly improving my skin. When I first used it, the pimples underneath my skin finally came out! And it didn't that long to heal. I've only used it for a week, but I have a feeling it's gonna work slowly but surely. I would definitely recommend it :)

Pros:

Doesn't clog pores
It's a good complement to the regimen(think about it, two of the best acne fighters working together?). It gives it a little extra umph.

Cons:

Tiny bottle
Pricy

This will terribly dry your skin!!! Especially in winter. Don't abandon your acne.org moisturizer or whatever default moisturizer you had for this one. Let me explain how I use it. Pay attention, because this could be your key to clear skin: I do the Regimen twice a day like always, but if I just had a breakout or I feel like one's coming, I use this right AFTER the BP application (I'll also do it occasionally to help fight the war on old brown spots and scarring). HOWEVER, despite this stuff being a moisturizer, it will tear your skin up somethin' fierce! Use your regular amount of moisturizer, but send in the troops on what would be extremely dry, cracking skin. By this I mean, grab jojoba oil and AHA+ for it. You will need it!! I guess you could say this is my unofficial 4th step to the regimen. SHHH! Don't tell Dan!

HORRIBLE
I used this stuff once upon a time, and it didn't work well for me. The first time, I was already broken out, so I didn't attribute my breakouts to this; I just switched to another moisturizer because I was a product junkie and was trying anything I could to clear up my skin. Over the last couple of years, my skin has gotten better. It was at its best about 6 -12 months ago, and I wasn't even wearing face makeup when I went out. I felt so free. Unfortunately, I happened to use this stuff again when I went to my parents' house and saw it in my mom's bathroom. The great smell and product claims on the bottle sucked me in again, and I bought 2 bottles. I began breaking out horribly (blocked pores and inflammatory acne), but didn't realize this was the cause until I was practically done with the first bottle. I stopped using it a few weeks ago and have had no new breakouts but have been left with hyperpigmentation (I'm a horrible picker) that has left me not wanting to go out in public. I have to wake up a bit earlier for work to spend time covering about 30 marks and even an open wound on my forehead that is unsightly. It's been a while since I've had to do that, and I hate it. I've vowed to never purchase this product again and to get rid of my other bottle before I forget what happened, convince myself it wasn't so bad, and start using it again. Truly, the best moisturizer for me is the neutrogena basic one without any sunscreen. Even the Walmart equate version works well for me. But I just don't react as well to moisturizers that make special claims or have spf. Be careful with this stuff. Most people like it, but I despise it! Fyi, 29/f with acne prone normal to oily skin.

Pros:

At first you will realize your skin becomes "worse" but after a week it clears up
Hydrates
Soaks in quickly

Cons:

None so far

When I first started using it I was breaking out! So I stopped and then remembered the quote "it gets worse before it gets better" the salycilic acid brings all your impurties out! So keep using it! I am a huge acne struggler and it makes your skin smooth and shine free!

Pros:

Good Basic Moisturizer

Cons:

None so fare

Key to this moisturizer or any moisturizer is simply less is better ! I mix this with Aloe Vera Gel ( Fruit of the earth) small amound to help offset any potential issues and my skin glo's and it's clear. I have Very Very Oily skin and this works much better than my PTR for 42 dollars that sits on my face ... Less is better and don't smother it on it;s not an acne treatment its a moisturizer for dry spots.

Pros:

Creamy
Leaves my skin hydrated
Evens out skin tone
Smells nice
Good price

Cons:

None so far

With other products I've used, my skin might clear up temporarily but the acne always comes back worse than before. More than that, the harsh chemicals leave my sensitive skin looking like it's been sunburned. With Aveeno my skin has begun to clear slowly and naturally with no redness or irritation. I don't care if it takes a longer time to see results, not looking like a lobster is well worth it.

Pros:

-makes my skin smooth&soft
-makes my skin glow
-evens out skin tone
-doesn't feel greasy or oily
-moisturizes well when using drying acne products.
-gets rid of most breakouts, doesn't cause any new ones.

Cons:

Expensive :/ that's the only con.

Bottom line is this is the ONLY moistuizer i have ever tried that does all those things for my skin. Most make my skin oily, and breakout or don't moisturize enough. This actually makes my skin look and feel amazing, and for a little while i have been trying to use cheaper products, but my skin will not have it. They have all irritated my skin and broke me out. So yes, i recommend this. The price is WELL worth it for me i love it and my skin won't have any other.

Pros:

Leave skin feeling amazing and is not harsh on skin.

Cons:

Pricey when compared to others but mine has lasted me almost 4 months with using it nearly every day before bed and in the morning. I still have plenty.

I absolutely love this moisturizer! I am 22 and never had a problem with acne until about a year and a half ago. I believe it was my birth control that caused the break out to begin with. I had tried a lot of products, skin MD, neutragena, acnefree sensitive skin (which was ok) as well as an expensive microderm abrasion device. I use the Neutragena redness reducing cream cleanser at night applied with my prewashed; I splash my face with cold water, pat dry with a CLEAN towel, and then apply a dime size amount to my face and neck. I shower in the mornings and I often use the St Ives Apricot scrub to get any dead skin cells off from the nights rest. After my shower i then reapply the moisturizer. I skin feels amazing and my acne scars are fading. Just remember to keep your hands off your face and as awful as it sounds... avoid foundation until you see improvements in your skin. Be patient and don't give up after a week because you think it isn't working. Stick to it!
