Pros:

Affordable, lasts a long time, works great, doesn't overdry skin, doesn't irratate my allergies

Cons:

Mail order only, not a big deal at all

I started using two weeks before my wedding which was too soon for it to make a big difference by then, but now that I'm mostly through the first bottle my skin looks better than ever before. I get the periodic tiny pimple, but nothing like before and the scars from the old acne are even clearing up, which is amazing because I thought I'd be splotchy forever. I have much higher self confidence since using this product because I don't have to constantly fear that my makeup is going to rub off and expose my skin - I barely wear makeup anymore! I am so happy to have skin that's finally clearing up. I'm 25 years old and shouldn't be dealing with cystic breakouts, so this product is truly a life saver. I think that the moisturizer which I just ordered will help a lot too! $41.00 is including shipping and the moisturizer on my most recent order. Without the moisturizer it's ony $25

Pros:

It feels good, easy to use, very economical, does not promote excessive dryness, and helps heal faster than anything I have tried before.

Cons:

It does make the skin break-out more at first, but it pulls out all the impurities in the skin. Patience is the key to using this product.

I had used Pro-active for years on mild acne, until adult-onset acne hit (you the know the kind with huge cyst-like craters). I went to a dermatologist, but the only thing that help was to take a low-dose antibiotic constantly. Then I found Carl's after searching the net (what seemed like forever). I knew I had nothing to lose with only a $20 investment. I have been using it now for 7 months and I am seeing great results. I had to fight the break-outs since the product was pulling out the impurities, but it is worth it. I saw immediate changes in the form of my pimples, which gave me hope. Persistence and patience are the keys for this product to work on stubborn adult acne.

Don't buy this product it sucks just makes your skin work and causes acne all the positive reviews are fake

Yes they have THOUSANDS of positive reviews and they are all fake lol. I've been with Carley's for years. This is the only product that has ever cleared my skin. It makes you worse for a bit because you purge. Sadly, I moved and the water type changed. It stopped working. I tried a ton of chemical crap after that and managed to do more damage to my skin than anything else. These guys care so much that they suggested another product from another company to try to restore my skin's biome to undo some of the harm before going back to their product. I don't know many companies that will refer you to another and not make a dime if they think it's what's best for your skin at the moment. I buy my moisturizers from them and the repair cream. Wonderful products. You might not have liked it but saying that all the reviews are fake is just silly. PS: I'm in Canada and they are in Orlando Florida. So I have nothing to do with the company other than buying their products. They have a ton of faithful customers. A lot of people don't use the products as they should. I read some people on here crying that it doesn't work but they left the product on their skin like a mask. Others used it every now and then... The one product that I don't like from them is their lipgloss.

I also got tricked by the positive reviews, the product made my skin worse, I 100% believe most of these reviews are fake because so many people come to this site looking for solutions for their acne, it's free advertising. One way to see if a reviewer is a fake account is to check out their profile, see how many reviews they've made for other products.

did not work for me.. but great customer service
well i truly tried this for abour 3 months and all i can say was that it makes your skin smooth but does not clear it. it has left a tremendous amount of scars for me. i do however have to say that it was the scrubbing with the washcloth and the natural soap that really bothered my face on op of BP in the product. I do like their moisturizers! they do wonders and i will continue to buy them but for acne no. i also ordered the tea tree version. I do not recommend both cleansers for sensitve skin. It just destroys the skin. I believe that the natural soap strips too much of the skin as well. i have pictures and the "progress" of the products i will update soon my recommendation: the lotions are great! i do love their lotions. The regime- not for me. and also they have the best customer service of a company that i have ever came in contact with.

Pros:

Previously I had moderate acne with combination oily/dry skin. I would estimate I have 4 whiteheads per month now (amazing) typically along my hairline that peak after heavy workout weeks. NONE on my chin, nose, or cheeks, which used to be problem areas.

Cons:

The directed regimen may dry your skin in colder climates, though I have seen no ill effects from making up my own regimen.

After using for 2 years after failing every other product I have tried, including Accutane (twice, relapsed within a year each time), ProActiv, and Acne.org regimen. I have waited to review this product after experiencing temporary success with other products. I am a physician (radiologist, not a dermatologist) and can say with a high degree of confidence this is a superior product. I use the natural soap that included with the BP wash sparingly (less than daily), with a generous amount of the BP wash twice daily in the shower. I use the BP wash in the shower and after with a clean wash cloth with warm water to gently (sometimes not so gently) to exfoliate (rub) off skin. I know this is anathema with the acne.org regimen. I follow it with a generous application (or 2 or 3; I live in Boston) of their Midnight Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin twice daily. My skin loves the moisturizer as well. No grease (no more blotting my face) and now I have an even complexion.

Pros:

works if used correctly, long term solution, makes skin feel great and clean, no acne!

Cons:

works better if used with purified water (at least for my skin), MUST follow directions or the product doesn't work like it should

this product is amazing first of all. I will never go back to using the array of bad products for my face - I have used them all and nothing compares to this product. The customer service is amazing and they will answer all emails fast and effectively. It took me about a month of using it to realize that I was not doing an effective job.. (follow directions precisely!) Once I changed what I was doing AND started using purified water my face has taken a drastic turn for the better! While it's not 100% clear after 3 months it is on its way (I was using bad products for over 5 years so I understand it takes time to undo the damage I did). Love all their moisturizers and foundation too. Highly recommend to all - I have struggled for years trying to find a long term solution for my acne and this is it!

Pros:

free soap with every purchase!
Habits I didn't know I had and realized I had to stop (picking my skin/ product overlapping)

Also, did you guys think about everything you are putting on your face? If you are a woman, concealers and face primers can contain salicylic acid. Foundations/ powders can have comedogenics (ingredients that clogs pores/aggravate acne). All of these we use at once to try and cover our acne (I know I use them all the time) which in turn makes our skin worse because of all the chemicals competing to clear our skin when we are actually clogging it. For myself I use Cover-FX concealer and foundation which doesn't contain any of these and it's been good. Pricey yes, but worth it until my skin clears. Don't use anything else on your skin while using Carley's treatment. I think that is what's saving my skin so far. and DON'T PICK! I am a huge picker (c'mon we all do it!) which leaves those pores open to anything that's already on your face to enter and become trapped. Huge no-no! That was probably the hardest thing for me to stop!

Pros:

smells great
mostly natural
skin did feel softer
the owner responded quickly and personally to my emailed questions

Cons:

broke me out horribly
clogged pores
left my face shiny and tight
broke out in places where I rarely get zits including cystic acne along and under the jaw.
break outs continued a long time after I stopped; have lots of post acne marks to deal with

It may work for some but I cannot use a soap-based system or anything with heavy/moderate oils in them. I should have stopped when it first started breaking me out but continued thinking it would get better. A short amount of purging with new BP or salicylic acid products is to be expected (especially those under-the-skin bumps that are brought to the surface) but I got acne in many places where I didn't have it before. A light case of acne went moderate with cystic acne along the jaw and continued even after I stopped. It's been 2 months and I'm still dealing with the aftermath - my self esteem took a huge dive. Be careful with this product! I've done a lot of research on Paula's Choice website about acne and Carley's has a lot of the ingredients you should avoid. I feel like it "ruined" my face - but hopefully with time and a little TLC, it will improve. Am trying some of Paula's products. So far so good.

Pros:

This stuff works great for my skin, keeps break outs to a minimum and smooths out my skin.

Cons:

Haven't found any yet. The price is a little high, but one bottle will last me a year+, so I think it's worth it.

This may not work for you, as everyone has different skin! But this works for me. And no, I'm not being paid by Carley's.B

Pros:

None whatsoever... I guess perhaps that they have good customer service and a money back guarantee but seeing as what this did to my face I don't think that counts for much

Cons:

Broke me out HORRIFICALLY, can't stress how bad it has made my skin. Anyone thinking of ordering this, think again. Please don't risk your skin with this, it is incredibly pore clogging and caused cystic acne all over my chin and lower face.

I used this product for about 2 months because I bought into all of the hype and reviews. I can now honestly say that this has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Not only did it give me the worst break out of my entire life, even now that I have stopped using this product, my skin is still breaking out terribly. In retrospect I know I should have stopped using this as soon as it started breaking me out but I was hoping it was just my skin purging. I finally came to my senses and quit using this, but by then the damage was done. I will have scars from using this product for a long time.
