Washes off easily/Leaves no residue
(When skin is clear) Leaves skin looking healthy

Cons:

Pros:

- extremely gentle
- no oils
- noncomedogenic
- fragrence free
- no alcohol
- clear gel base
- big bottle, cheap price

Cons:

- cant be used as shaving cream
- could exfoliate better

everything you look for in a cleanser except it may be slightly TOO gentle as exfoliation of flakes it is not very good at. and it doesnt work as a shaving creme. but its super gentle, oil free and wont clog pores, no alcohol, gel base, big pump bottle for a good price. Canadian made product from a dermotologist recommended brand. they also come in a DRY skin formula which i may try next to battle the skin flakes.

Pros:

Makes skin feel extremely good and very soft. Helps for a brighter complexion, BUT FOR ONLY ONE WEEK.

Cons:

After one week of use (during which I loved it), it caused me to break out like crazy. I stopped using it and the pimples subsided, but when I started again, a lot of fine white-heads came up on my forehead, chin and jawline.

It did not work for me. I loved the way it made your skin feel - smoother than a baby's butt; but after one week I broke out (a lot of fine white-heads and a few red pimples). During the first week I used it consistently day and night. I tried it again three times in the coming month (meaning I just used it once in the morning) and got the same results. But the last time I tried it was the worst. It was the worst breakout I had ever (I've had acne for 3 years now), and I doubt that its an allergic reaction. I got around 7-10 full, red pimples on my chin/jawline, and the medication i was using (StayClear ® Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream - with sulfur and resorcinol) would normally dry up my pimples in 2 days, 5 days tops; but these stayed for around 2 weeks with no absolutely change. BOTTOM LINE: Try it, it might work great, but if it doesn't, don't go back and just try it to see if it works "this time 'round".

Pros:

clears skin! makes skin soft. Doesn't dry out your skin

Cons:

Can't think of any..well the smell could be better.

I've been using Spectro Jel ( purple bottle) For only three days and my skin is SOO much better! I really think this product may actually be a keeper! Its the only thing that Ive ever used that has been this effective. I LOVE IT! and I absolutely recommend it to anyone, my skin was never to bad to beggin with but it sure wasnt good. If youre thinking about getting Spectro I say go for it! you'll love it

Pros:

Very gentle
Affordable (COSTCO offers the best price)

Cons:

None

After 25 years of acne problems and buying many, many cleansers, Spectrojel is the best for me. My skin has improved immensely since I started gently cleansing my face with Spectrojel, gently lathering benzoyl peroxide 8% on my problem area (chin) and gently moisturizing my skin with "Complex 15". Dan is right about gently touching sensitive skin, it's critical not to irritate the follicles and glands under the skin. Hope this helps you.

Pros:

a HUGE bottle well worth the price and extremely gentle to use on your skin.

Cons:

doesn't lather so it makes you feel like it might not be working.

i used the one for oily skin and it worked very well. i found that it took a little while to start clearing up my skin but it made my skin feel soft and rejuvenated after each wash. i didn't find it to be drying. if you are switching in between products try a milder variation of this brand. it is well worth the try.

Pros:

affordable

Cons:

doesn't take off make-up
causes breakouts

I tried both Spectro Jel for Oily Skin and for Combination Skin within the time span of a week. I TOTALLY REGRET IT. In just this short period of time, Spectro Jel turned my oily (but controllable) skin into a disgusting grease-slick with zits that will just not go away. My skin has never been so bad, not even when I was a teenager on medication. I dare say it has even changed my skin, as even though I'm already back on my regular facewash (that I will NEVER change again), my face is still more greasy than it has ever been and the zits keep coming out of nowhere in places where I've never gotten them before. DON'T USE SPECTRO JEL IF YOU VALUE CLEAR SKIN

Pros:

gentle, no fragrance, no parabens (it can cause cancer), cheap

Cons:

can't think of any

It's so gentle on my extremely sensitive skin! This is THE best cleanser ever. Doesn't break me out!

Pros:

relatively cheap, no smell, comes off nicely, doesn't dry skin, cleared acne fairly well

Cons:

didn't completely clear acne

I started using this in about October. It is now April and my skin is still improving. I recently combined this face wash with Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Cleanser. It has really helped it work better, even though the Tea Tree stuff didn't work well on it's own. I have dry skin. I would recommend this.
