Pros:

leaves skin clean, without filmy feeling; doesn't over dry if used in the right amount; amazing results.

Cons:

Can over-dry skin if use too much; no exfoliant version; SO hard to FIND!!! (GRRR)

I LOVE THIS STUFF. Honestly, this beats anything else I've tried before. There's no burning, tingly, or other stupid sensations, it smells like nothing, and it leaves your skin so clean. I love it. Love it. Love it. but I can't friggin' FIND IT. It's wicked economical, too, since one tube of the stuff lasted me about 3 months using it once a day! If you see it, BUY THIS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

To treat acne use the Basis Bar Soap (the clear bar) with tea tree oil. My doctor recommended it to me and it works wonders. It does make skin a little dry but its worth it to have clear skin. It takes a couple weeks to really notice a difference.

Pros:

Soap-free, Oil-free, The price, The scent, A clean clean product

Cons:

Absolutely None

This is the most wonderful cleanser I have EVER EVER EVER used. This was recommended to me by my Dermatologist and I could not be happier-It is the best!!! It is soap-free and oil free. It is not expensive and has the BEST SCENT. Normally I would stay away from anything with a scent but this product is really different. I have used very expensive cleansers and they did nothing but break my skin out even more. I recommend this very highly. My skin has never looked and felt better. I has been using this for a long time and will never give it up!!! Try it for the price there is nothing to loose-you will not be disappointed.

Cons:

big bottle, not easy for travel

This is a gentle cleanser but it just didn't do anything to help, treat or prevent my acne. I would recommend this for someone WITHOUT acne.

Pros:

This product makes my pores open and drain and i feel so good afterwards. Th smell i couldn't rate a six with smilies, but it is a 6!

Cons:

you do however have to make sure you rinse all of it off, other wise your face becomes sticky.

Perfect for everyone, if my skin can handle it, so can yours!

Pros:

I have been using this at the recommendation of my dematologist for decades. I am 50 something now and still use it. I have sensative skin so mu choices are limited.

Cons:

hard to find. Marcs in Ohio carries it for a resonable price $4, but most others are $6 and more. No cons other than that.

I would buy a case at a time if I can find it

Pros:

Cleans well with out stripping. Great for oily skin. Last a long time; a little goes a long way. Oil-free and soap free.

Cons:

Can only purchase online or from Ulta stores. The smell can get annoying.

Very gentle for normal to oily, or acne prone skin. I am amazed at how well it removes my makeup too. I have stoped using Cetaphil and replaced it with this since it removes makeup better and has botanicals. If you are looking for an inexpensive, gentle yet effective cleanser, this may work for you.

Good, clean just not effective for real acne
I tried this. used it for years really because it didn't leave a film over my skin like all the other ones seem to do. That combined with the basis bar soap (for the shower). I liked that it seemed to be natural without a lot of other additives that you find in all the other products. Long story short - even though I liked the way my skin felt afterwards, I never saw my breakouts diminish and that was troubling. I had dry skin to start with and this made it even drier. I added moisturizers over my sunscreen to help but that seemed to exacerbate my acne. I finally had to admit that I just needed to move on which was troubling since I felt like I had tried everything. I found a cleanser finally that I liked just as much from Ninja Skincare for combination skin. That combined with their medicine and my skin is finally as clear as I have seen it. I think basis is a great product for people with moderate to slight acne but not someone like me with serious hormonal, adult acne. I guess with my type of skin you just need something stronger.

Pros:

gentle cleanser
good for sensitive skin or if you are using prescription topicals

Cons:

doesn't actually treat breakouts

I have been using this for a few months because I use strong prescription topical treatments and using medicated cleansers in addition to those made my skin very dry and irritated. This is a much more gentle solution, and while it doesn't do anything to improve your skin, it will not hurt it either if you are using other methods of treatment. Takes off all of my makeup, smells nice and makes my skin feel soft. Don't use it expecting it to make your skin clear on its own, it's just part of a larger treatment plan.

Pros:

It will not irritate your skin. It leaves your skin feeling "fresh". The slight smell it has is refresing. Beautiful packaging. :) Cleans skin.

Cons:

Doesn't clean very "deep".
Well... it doesn't really do anything. Unless you are using a cleanser that is specifically making you break out, this cleanser won't do anything. It just removes anything on your face. However, it is great if you have REALLY sensitive skin or don't want an acne treatment.

It's a fine cleanser. It didn't clear any of my acne, but it's not making it worse. However, no cleansers that I've used have helped my skin, so it's in no way worse than any cleanser I've tried, if that makes any sense. It is very high quality.
