Pros:

Clears Face Quickly
Face is smoother
Less Oily

Cons:

First couple days your skin will be very dry
Pink color so you have to wear at night

I've tried everything from ProActiv to basic creams and all in between. I've spent hundred's of dollars in acne medications. So I wanted to find a home remedie. Well I started looking and found alot about Calomine Lotion. So I said why not lets give it a shot. In one day more face was smoother and clearer. I was totally shocked. I've had acne since I was 12 (i'm 17) I will continue using the lotion and suggests anyone who hasn't tried it yet they defiantly should give it a try.

Pros:

affordable. smells good. works!

Cons:

sorta liquidyyy.

works great. i've had acne since i turned 11 (i am now 13), and a lady at the doctor's office told me to use it because it helped her daughters. i tried it on my forehead, which is the only place i get pimples (but there's enough to cover my whole face up there!), and it was gone the next day! i was so happy. :) everyone who has acne should try it.

Pros:

i tried this the other night, the caladryl one. it helped only a little. I'm thinking it might be because of the brand... caladryl has a runny consistency. What brands would u suggest?

Cons:

u can only use it during the night.

you might want to try it out for spot treatment. its cheap too :) and helps to minimize redness and the swelling the morning after.

Pros:

It works quickly and effectively. I dabbed it on my pimples last night and when I woke up this morning I was stunned! I can't believe it works so well, but both the size and redness of my pimples were reduced with only one application.

Cons:

-I wish I knew about it sooner! So many facial disasters could have been avoided!
-My face was a little dry where I applied it, but not too bad.

I wasn't sure something so simple as calamine lotion could work, but so many people praised it on here that I decided to give it a whirl. And I'm really glad that it did. It's meant to bring out the oils from poison ivy, so it makes sense that it brings out the junk from pimples. Real calamine lotion also has zinc oxide in it, which is one of the main ingredients in ScarZone, so it may also help reduce scarring from pimples. I'm defintely going to keep using it.

Pros:

- prevents/treats existing zits
- oil production seemed to decrease
- fragrance-free, made my skin soft and left a milky after-glow

Cons:

- it's not clear, leaves a white residue
- a bit runny

I absolutely love this stuff! It's cheap and you can find it at just about any grocery store... I slather on some before I go to bed and in the morning my skin feels so soft and has a nice milky glow! I can't believe how well it works and how cheap it is. I'm never wasting my money on expensive skin products ever again. Calamine lotion is the best!

Pros:

reduces redness, keep your skin oil-free, gives a cooling sensation, makes your pores unnoticeable, reduce itchy sensation

Cons:

leaves a layer of pink powder (but if you put on a thin layer with a cotton, it acts like a good foundation :)
dry a little bit

i am using tretinoin cream and it makes my skin so irritated and red. i put on a facial mask whenever i go out. it is so embarrassing!! reading the reviews and message board, i found that calamine lotion calms skin. i then did a research on the ingredients of calamine. Calamine lotion is a mixture of zinc oxide and ferric oxide. Zinc Oxide is an active ingredient of sunscreen and skin protector. i search the government database for the registered medicine accessible in HK. i found out that many calamine lotions contain "phenol", "menthol", "alcohol" ,which are skin irritants. there are three brandnames only that contains zinc oxide and calamine only... i washed my face and dry it with tissue. then, i put on the lotion with a cotton pad and spread it all over my face. The redness went away immediately :) it also absorb the oil instantly and constantly. there are many pigmentation on my face. the lotion conceals them all well!

Pros:

cheap, fast, really effective

Cons:

can't wear it out of the house

So I don't have very bad acne, but every once and a while, without warning, I get these huge, painful, red cysts that literally take weeks to go away. And of COURSE one of them decided to pop up this weekend, just days away from my college graduation. Desperately seeking some kind of miracle, I started reading reviews on acne.org and somehow came across calamine lotion. I went out and bought it yesterday and wore it for a few hours before bed, then all night... This morning that huge cyst has almost completely gone down. The calamine has just totally dried it up. It's seriously amazing. It has left my skin pretty dry, but I would MUCH rather deal with having to moisturize the hell out of my skin for a few days than having all my graduation photos ruined by that massive cyst. This works WAY better than anything I've ever tried on a cyst (ice, heat, BP, SA...), and it's incredibly cheap.

Cons:

At the moment I'm not sure if it will get rid of my pimple

So i have this huge pimple on my forehead. I put some of this on yesterday, and it appears to be working. It immediatly soothed my skin, and i'm pretty sure the size of my pimples going down. I'm not sure if it will completely eliminate my pimple, but it really does seem to be helping me. I'm going to continue use and see what happens.
