Pros:

it works, very well infact, u'll be surprised

Cons:

mainly for night-time usage as it leaves the skin dry and white

I used this in 2008 before christmas to treat an allergic reaction rash on my face, also around that time i started using tea tree oil, after my rash had gone and also my acne i continued using tea tree oil and stopped using the calamine, thinking it was the tea tree that helped the acne. I WAS WRONG, and i didnt even realise it until i suffered the worst break out of my life that has lasted for the past 6 months and ive tried everything to get rid of it, its effected me badly, i became depressed and started to feel like i couldnt leave the house, as a last resort i traced my mind back to last year when my skin cleared, what did i use, it was the calamine lotion, i feel stupid for not realising sooner, it works and works fast, now my acne feels a bit better and is calming down again

Pros:

Works very well for women of color with oily skin. And it can also be worn under make-up.

Cons:

It can kind get messy because it is a liquid and it is very HARD to come out of fabric.

I have spent a ton of money on acne surgery, Dr visits all the acne products that are out and this works best for me.

Pros:

Seems to make face less red, and when applied to cystic-type acne overnight, they appear to be a lot smaller. Works quite well.

Cons:

If left on for too long, or if used every day, some minor flakiness and minor dryness tends to develop. As well, even after washing your face, a thin white layer is seen on one's skin, almost resembling makeup...a little embarrassing. Have to scrub -

This product is okay, but would like to find something different. I've been using the BP for quite some time, and it doesn't always help from new ones to form. I recommend using this product as a spot treatment only, instead of an all over type of treatment, which I did, and maybe that's why I developed some flakiness and a creamy-white residue on my face, still left over even after being washed off.

Pros:

Cost effective, works well, no scent,

Cons:

Dries a little, can only use if you are in the house for the day, or use overnight.

I have cystic acne at age of 49, so... this works better than some of the ACNE meds in the drug stores. I did some research on the internet on this web site as well as a few others, and from what I have read, mostly all the reviews say it works. So I tried it. I had to go to two stores to find it. I don't know if it is because summer is a buzz, and everybody thinks it good for insect bites, or the word is out about this product. I like the results so far, not a lot of progress, but it still is helping me. I got a little bold and wet a make up sponge with water, and add a few drops of calamine lotion to it apply gently over the affected areas, I PUT IT ON THINLY, please make a note, of that, because too much you will look like a ghost, and people will stare. I then apply my makeup. I might also suggest you do this my natural sunlight, putting this on in the bathroom can fool you. It conceals my scars a little. makes my skin look smoother.

Pros:

Great for "older' skin. Great for underarms, elbows, and face and neck. Really heals skin and keeps pores small. Walgreens brand worked the best for me.People are always telling me how "young" I look.

Cons:

Try to share with friends but they laugh. Dumb a$$e$. They say I must look like a ghost when going to bed and husband will find unattractive...........it can be rubbed in with a dry, soft cloth to eliminate pinkish cast.

Excellent, I highly recommend this to all

Pros:

Works very well, will reduce even severe acne over night.
When used constantly, can completely clear your skin!
Ideal for even those huge red pimples.

Cons:

Must leave on overnight to see dramatic improvment.
You have to wash your face good to get all of it off.

From light acne to severe this works great! Makes pimple smaller and less red. Great used with an asprin mask. Just mix asprin with a few drops of water, apply to biggest, redest pimples, then fill in the rest with calamine lotion, it's the best acne treatment, i'm telling you it is! You have to try this! Use EVERY night before bed and wash off in the morning (MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE THE BOTTLE!) it's not a lotion, it's more of a liquid.

Pros:

cheap, fast, really effective

Cons:

can't wear it out of the house

So I don't have very bad acne, but every once and a while, without warning, I get these huge, painful, red cysts that literally take weeks to go away. And of COURSE one of them decided to pop up this weekend, just days away from my college graduation. Desperately seeking some kind of miracle, I started reading reviews on acne.org and somehow came across calamine lotion. I went out and bought it yesterday and wore it for a few hours before bed, then all night... This morning that huge cyst has almost completely gone down. The calamine has just totally dried it up. It's seriously amazing. It has left my skin pretty dry, but I would MUCH rather deal with having to moisturize the hell out of my skin for a few days than having all my graduation photos ruined by that massive cyst. This works WAY better than anything I've ever tried on a cyst (ice, heat, BP, SA...), and it's incredibly cheap.

Pros:

works quickly, isn't harsh on skin, can use with Dan's BP, easy to apply, not over-drying

Cons:

can only wear at night, needs to be reapplied often

I've fallen in love with Calamine lotion. I tend to take out my stress by attempting to "control" the acne on my face, which, I know now, usually takes the form of picking at my acne. Unfortunately, this left me with a swollen, bright red bump on my chin a few days ago. I already had three other scabs on my chin, and I was desperate for a solution. Fast forward two and a half days: after using calamine lotion on all these spots repeatedly (about three times per day, trying to at least leave it on for a couple hours each time), my scabs are completely gone (several of them I picked at AGAIN - this time following Dan's instructions, though), and I'm just left with some flat, red marks on my face. Not bad; I can easily cover them with makeup and they're invisible. Also, the calamine hasn't overly dried out my face!

Pros:

Although it doesn't mention anything about acne on it's labelling it does help dramatically with reducing pimples, scars and redness.

Cons:

Have been using it for a year or 2 already so it is good but don't expect all your pimples to disappear as it's consistently helpful but not great or anything. Dryness also occurs so moisturise!

It will help reduce redness and pimples in general. If you're not using it you're missing out!
