Pros:

It works wonders people! It actually works...unlike the crappy drug store acne wash claims.

Cons:

I have oily skin so I can't claim the drying effect really. What is the con? It works so well that everyone buys it and I have to wait for the store to order in more product.

When a juicy one show's it's ugly white face (Mmm) I pop it. Oh, I do the same with little red ones. I wash the area with a baby wipe (or whatever'.make it all clean) and apply Benzac AC 5 and moisturizer. I do that a couple times a day. Since the gel kills the acne causing bacteria, we are no longer dealing with a zit. What we have is a little open sore. Yes, gross. So I cleanse the area and apply an antibiotic such as Polysporin. I use the Polysporin until the 'zit' is no longer visible. Basically, a zit that left unattended could last up to 3 weeks has now been chopped down to 3 or 4 days.

Pros:

its gel based
can easily spread over your face before it dries

Cons:

itchy at times. but skin gets used to it
small container. the picture of it on the right is about 10 cm

i have been using 10% benzoyl peroxide face cream. and the Galderma gel based benzoyl peroxide was much lighter on my skin. i have just started using it, so i will post another review, since no one else has. its the only product i could get my hands on here in south africa dischem stores. otherwise, there was a 10% benzoyl peroxide oxy cream. and that smelled really bad was about R60 (zar)

Pros:

This product does exactly what it says it does. It gets rid of your acne. It is a hardcore acne treatment that will completely dry-out your acne. Acne doesn't like being dried-out so it goes away. Simple as that.

Cons:

Hmmmmm.....Yea I won't lie, it dries out your skin. Get yourself a lightweight oil-free lotion for your face so you can actually smile when you look at your acne-free self in the mirror. It is a bit expensive ($40.00 for a 25g Jar)

This is a harsh chemical that you are applying your face to solve a serious problem. It works for me, but you need to know how sensitive you are to having a dry face. If having a dry face is worse than having acne for you, definitely steer clear of this product. I will continue to use this product to destroy those pimples, as well as the feisty big ones. One helpful hint for anybody using this cream, I would suggest mixing it every week or so with the plastic piece that usually comes with it. That seems to help it do it's job a little better. Just give this stuff a try. What do you have to lose? I don't know what everybody is talking about with the smell. In my opinion, proactive makes me want to vomit.

Pros:

Excellent product! I started with Panoxyl 2.5% and it cleared up my skin, but it was really sticky. Was a bit hesitant switching to Benzac since it's available here only at 5%, but I was glad I did! Works well, texture is like cream & absorbs faster.

Cons:

Makes my skin a bit red. Didn't experience peeling though, maybe because I already went through that with Panoxyl.

I guess it really depends on your skin type & how bad your acne is, I have oily skin and I've had moderate-severe acne since I was a teenager. Went on Roaccutane and that sort of cleared and dried up my face for about a year, then I started getting mild acne. I'm so glad I found this site, first time I ever considered applying medication on my face. I haven't seen any drugstores here selling Benzac 2.5%, it starts at 5%, that's why I started with Panoxyl. I guess since I'm using this now I shouldn't go back down to 2.5%. Been using this for about 2 weeks now and I'm very happy with the results. Don't forget to moisturize!

Pros:

prevents new pimples from coming out

Cons:

slight drying and peeling (just apply the product thinly to prevent overdrying and use moisturizer)

very effective... I've used several products before and this was the only one which helped me in improving my acne. Just use sunblock and moisturizer.

Cons:

if i have a really big pimple on my face and i aply a generous amount to it doesn't seem to get rid of the. dries your skin

clears your skin up but if you have a really big pimple on your face don't squeeze cause it just makes it look really yucky. but love this product because i never really had that bad of skin but now its close to perfection except for 1 or 2 pimples and a few scars but thats my fault i squeeze and poke with needles. Pros:

Benzac definitely works. I am in the UK now and its been difficult to find at the pharmacies here. They have Panoxyl which definitely does not work as well for me as Benzac does.

Cons:

Benzac can be very drying and for sensitive skin, it burns at first. But to me, its worth it because of the results I get. Acne may appear worst at first but that is because it brings those hidden under the skin to the surface in order to deal with i

Try Benzac
