Pros:

Works well easy to use.

Cons:

Dries skin and tends to make it slightly more sensitive to sunlight and irritation.

Bottom line is it works and I mean really does work. I used this stuff when my acne got really bad about a year ago used for about 6 months and my skin was completely spotless I kid you not. I used the Benzac Ac 5% topical water based cream. I have just started using it again because my acne is starting to flare up once again :(. But thats not the point. I heed all those acne suffers out there to try this product and tell others around you might be hard but be patient with it and good luck all on the road to clear clean skin.

Pros:

- Reduces whiteheads and blackheads within 4 days for me!
- Easy to use.
- Gives me a fresh and clean feeling after using it.

Cons:

- Maybe drying up my face could be a con although my skin isn't used to the products and my dermatoligist said the dryness could fade away within a couple a weeks when my skin is used to the benzoyl peroxide.

Very good product , I higly recommend it. But still you'll have to do your homework and do some searching to look if Benzac would be the right product for you. My skin is dry at this very moment but I believe it will fade when time passes. I do moisturize afterwards but I doesn't seem to moisturize enough. I will see if the dryness disappears else I'll have to go search a better moisturizer. BUT THE LITTLE DRYNESS IS SO WORTH MY CLEAR SKIN. ^^

Pros:

This workes great on my skin. It smooths the surface and cleans deep down into the acne.

Cons:

Sometimes if i leave it on for too long my skin can get dry.

I am only thirteen and have had acne since i was 9. it was all over my face, upper and lower back and chest area. I couldnt wear singlets or bikini's. I had no confidence. Then i started using this and along with plenty of water and a fairly good diet, my acne has been almost cured. I still have some zits on my face but it looks loads better. The thing i learnt is that you have to be patient, it wont clear your skin up totally in a week, because it takes many weeks, but it is very effective and good. I would highly recommend it! I also use the Benzac AC gel for afterwards.

Acne at 30
After getting acne on and off through my teens and 20s it came back after having a baby with a vengeance. I find different ways to get it under control all help and this product is a part of the solution. For me it's so hard NOT to touch my face so I try really hard, my routine is in the evening I double wash off my makeup with a good cleanser neutrogena had one that removed eye makeup too, then I dry my face, I apply a thin layer of 5% gel all over except eye area, sometimes I use a thicker spot on problem pimples, then the key is let it dry, then apply a generous amount of moisturiser I use cetaphil face muisturiser which I love. I wash my hands thoroughly and then apply eye cream and lip cream to keep those soft areas moist. In the morning I use St Ives apricot scrub on my face and neck and then I follow the routine from above with the gel, let it try, then moisturise. I always apply a really high quality spf sunscreen during the day before I apply my makeup, mid 20s and up I found I started to get some pigmentation and then pregnancy hormones made it worse so because the gel does make skin sun sensitive I really suggest you do this even on cloudy days, hey it helps reduce wrinkles too. I calendar my monthly cycle and the week before I may do 2 or more face masks as well in the evenings, sometimes they are moisturising balancing ones, others are clay, and some Japanese style sheet masks are great too. A couple of weeks of dry flakiness can happen, then I start to see improvement, if my skin is bad I use it twice a day, then I reduce it to just at night, then over time just the problem areas, then the spots. For me I also think the boring rules of drinking extra water, eating more vegetables and greens and reducing sugary foods really does significantly help, also getting 8 or more hours sleep a night too but I never do due to a toddler but my skin was great when I slept more. I used to pick when I was anxious and it's demoralising going through this but there is light at the end of the tunnel. In the past I also found accutane did work especially for body acne but I wouldn't take a long course of it, I reduced the dosage myself and skipped a day often and definitely don't take it if you plan on having a baby within a few years of taking it due to birth defect possibilities. Great product benzac AC gel 5% really accessible since it's from the supermarket here. 5 stars *****

Pros:

I have had acne on my bottom for years. I was shopping at the chemist one day and saw this product, i was a bit sceptical at first because the packaging was so plain!(iknow) but it is amazing. I use the wash and cream.

Cons:

You have to keep using it everyday, especially where my problem is! Also no problem with dry skin because it doesnt really matter!!!

My pimples to come back but that is if i stop using Benzac ac,so it might have to be an ongoing treatment, but i dont care.

Pros:

It took the tender sorefeeling away from pimples, took away the redness and all my scaring from previous acne has become less noticeable.

Cons:

depending on specific other products you use it can tend to dry out ur skin or make it sensative.

I thort i would end up spending around 50 buks per month for a acne product that would actually work but i was suprised how affordable benzac ac is considering how well it worked for me, but benzac ac may not work for everyone just like any other acne products, still overal i definatly reccomend it.

Pros:

Effective, Value for money

Cons:

Normal side effects of Benzoyl Peroxide

This is definitely the best acne cream that I have found. You get a lot for what you pay, it works well, pleasant and easy to use. Even after Accutane took care of most of my acne, I ALWAYS keep a tube of 10% Benzac around, because it works so well, and clears up any pimple pretty much overnight. 2 thumbs up!

Pros:

My pimples cleared up and made my skin less oily :)

Cons:

It's a bit drying though and I still have a few blackheads on my nose and cheeks.

Overall, it's a great product! :) I've been using it for 3 years and it works wonders. When I tried to stop using it a couple of months ago, my skin went crazy and started breaking out. I immediately started using it again, and after a week, my skin looked a lot more like that of a human's. :) I'm never gonna stop using it again.
