Gets rid of 70% of acne

Pros:

Gets rid of 70% of acne within a month
Light formula, doesn't cause excessive peeling
Can easily wear make-up on top of it

Cons:

Super expensive
Still get breakouts

I started using this as a replacement for a British BP brand Panoxyl 2.5% that went out of stock last year. It's sold primarily in Aus and NZ and cost a bomb to get shipped over ( £10 a tube!) But I am more than happy to pay this because it works. I have PCOS-related acne (so very cystic) that still breaks out around that time of month, but 70% of the time this stuff keeps me clear. It can also be quite 'mattifying' if you put lots on. One thing to say about this above and beyond most brands of acne treatments is that it is very light, and you can wear foundation on top of it with it peeling horribly underneath of looking obvious, which is a must for me. Overall, it will control angry cystic spots when coupled with good moisturizer and cleanser (I use Cetaphil), but like most brands it will not get rid of them 100%.

Benzilliant!

Pros:

Easy to spread
Trustworthy

Cons:

Hardening Effect

I use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, then apply this. I have noticed a difference in spots within 3 weeks and I will continue to use this. It's made by Galderma who make Cetaphil so I can trust this to really work! Until I'm 100% clear I will give this 5*

Pros:

clears acne Fast!
dont notice it when you put it on
doesnt smell
over the counter

Cons:

small dryness but if you start out slow you'll be fine
does leave a bit of redness

I was looking back at my photo's and noticed i first got acne when i was 13 and im not 18. I finally decided to do something about it, i tried every acne treatment there is and nothin worked even made it worse. I found Skin B5 and thought this would help but i got the worst breakout of my life (not joking it was seriously bad). i went to the docs and he gave me erycne which helped a little bit but my acne was still pretty bad, i didnt even want to leave the house. I didn some research and read about Benzac, i wasnt expecting much as with the hundreds of other products i tried but i though id give it a go. After a week my pacne went down dramatically however my face was so red it wasnt funny. i decided to keep with it howver just cut back on the dosage. I'm on my second week of using this and all my acne is gone, the redness is just about gone and my confidence has come back. This is no doubt the best acne treatment if you want good results.

Pros:

It dries up acne fast and lessens inflammations quicker. Is absorbed more efficiently by the skin as it's water-based. No sticky feel.

Cons:

Too much too soon might dry up skin.

Effective product to use for the regimen. First time users should follow regimen, starting with smaller amounts then gradually building up to more.

mostly works
This has mostly cleared up my skin in 3 months, but I still get a cystic pimple on my chin every month when it's that time. It works well, and has kept most of my acne at bay and evened out my skintone (less redness). I suffered from the occasional flakyness at first, but it wasn't unmanagable. But it seems to me that since I've been using this, I have more blackheads on my nose? It's like they got to the surface and are more visible now. I tried pore strips but they won't come out, and I can't extract one by one. Has anyone had this problem?

Pros:

Works really well, made my skin alot less red, reduced big inflammed zits, far less breakouts, made my skin alot less oily thoughout the entire day not just a hour or two after my regimen was done.

Cons:

Kinda expensive, comes in a small tube and runs out quickly. Does cause my skin to become red if i use to much and sometimes peeling. and had to keep buying new tubes once a week.

Really effective against acne, but not big enough tube for the price paid.

Pros:

- Clears existing spots and prevents new ones
- Feels and looks like a moisturizer
- Fragrance free
- Good for sensitive skin

Cons:

- Pricey (15.55 for a 50g bottle in Australia)

This is a great program to clear acne. I used it in conjunction with Cetaphil and Witch Hazel and I now have flawless skin.

Pros:

Very effective
Absorbs quickly
Cheap

Cons:

Dried my neck out badly, but my skin is adjusting

Awesome for treating pimples and clogged pores. My entire cheeks and chin were full of gunk and this has at least halved after 2 weeks. Neck is drying out (I apply it here due to hormonal outbreaks) but I couldn't care less because I've not had a single blemish on this area. I've had 3 pimples that I have squeezed straight away and they were gone within a day. Usually I would get quite a few deep pimples that refuse to be extracted and end up as hard lumps that last 2-3 weeks, this is no longer occurring.

Pros:

- Dries out larger pimples in a couple of nights
- Easy to apply
- New pimples are smaller, less noticeable

Cons:

- Some stinging, redness, but this was ONLY when I used too much. If you follow Dan's guide on how much to apply and gradually increase the amount, you should be fine
- after waiting for it to dry, moisturiser still doesn't go on very smoothly

I recently bought this product to go with Dan's regimen after mainly trying products with salicylic acid etc. The texture of my skin has really improved and I haven't found the drying effects to be that bad, as long as I moisturise. My skin is not yet completely clear, but I'm very happy so far, considering I only use Benzac at night and only for a week so far. I'm looking forward to clear skin soon!
