Pros:

- Dries Out and Tightens Skin
- Gets rid of and prevents acne
- Best results I've ever had!
- Good for oily skin types

Cons:

- Wouldn't recommend for any other skin type than oily since is completely dries out your skin!
- Leaves white flakes behind which are easily washable and not dead skin
- Not good for daytime use

Basically I used everything to try and get rid of my acne and this has been the only thing that worked! I used a lot of expensive products from my spa and my acne just kept getting worse... Then I decided to try this product and I HATED it at first so I decided to put it away and not use. Then I went on a trip and didn't wanna bring all my expensive products so I brought this and a simple cleanser and a salicylic acid treatment. Needless to say my acne had improved a ton at the end of the trip. 2 Months later my acne is almost gone which is the best I've had in 5 years! Basically it's cheap and it works, more than anyone could hope for :) IMPORTANT: I can't stress enough how much this dries up your skin so if you don't have oily skin you may be looking at the wrong product These are all my personal experiences and people may have different opinions.

Pros:

Fast
Effective
Cheap

Cons:

Over-drying, Peeling, Flaky, Stings and Burns -for the first couple of weeks of application until skin adjusts. (but honestly well worth it)

I had back and chest acne over a year ago so I tried this, I realised if I used a fair amount (meaning a lot everyday after showering) It instantly got rid of my body acne. But a few months ago I developed facial acne, baring in mind our faces are more sensitive that back and chest, So I started the regime last week I was my face with tea tree cleanser then dry my face, apply BP ( now I'm going to add more) once that has soaked in I apply Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser, It hasnt been long but so far I'm seeing dramatic changes!!

Pros:

- Gets rid of spots really quickly!
- Any new spots that appear will be much smaller and disappear much faster!
- Cheap!

Cons:

- Does dry skin

I have never suffered from bad acne before, however it seemed that no matter what I tried I ALWAYS had a few obvious spots! After reading many reviews I decided that benzoyl peroxide was worth trying out. The first thing that I can tell you from my experience is that the initial drying process was not as severe as I was expecting, and I never experienced any peeling or redness, although my skin did feel quite tight for the first week or so- moisturizing is essential! And the best bit.... my skin was far clearer by the end of the first week and the few spots that creep up now are much smaller than I was used to!! I would strongly recommend this product, I realise that many of you might experience worse side effects than me, however the results will make it all worth while!

Pros:

Shows significant results after the first application,
Very cheap in comparison to other products,
Easily applicable (smooth consistency),
Suitable and acceptable sized tube.

Cons:

Other than the obvious redness and peeling if not enough moisturizer is applied and too much of the gel itself applied,
will bleach dyed fabrics, also eyebrows and hair.

Well the bottom line is, we're all here to clear up our acne, to do this you have to be strict with yourself. This includes your diet and the acne.org regimen. I would personally recommend eating healthy, fruit, veg, green tea, lots of water, absolutely NO confectionaries, dairy products are acceptable in small amounts, no spicy or peppery foods, and no drinks high in sugar. Sugar WILL make your acne worse, take it from me, you dont need dermatologists evidence to say it does, work it out for yourself, pig out on lots of sugary foods and eureka, massive breakout the next morning. Also dont get sloppy with the regimen or leave parts out, I did and suffered for it. Also it would be worth looking in to zinc supplements. Combined a good attitude towards food, this product will do great things.

Pros:

IT WORKS
Fast
Effective
Cheap
Gel form

Cons:

Can leave skin dry and stings for the first couple of weeks of application until skin adjusts

Fantastic product. I wonder why I have not heard of Panoxyl before, because this is the ONLY thing that has worked for me. I guess they're a pretty silent brand. Take note: you may not have to use as much of this as you would if you were using Dan's BP gel. For me, a stripe the length of my index finger every 12 hours is enough for three weeks of every month. When my period arrives, I require a bit more because that's when I break out most. Like all BP products, it can leave skin a bit dry and flaky, especially at first. It's a good idea to ramp the dosage up slowly and then when you're completely clear, try reducing the dosage until you find the right amount for your skin. Everyone is different. I can't compare Panoxyl to any other BP product, since it's the only BP I've ever used. But I have no reason to switch, since it's working! It's pretty much saved my life. **I have put the price in monthly costs in POUNDS, not dollars. It's £3 a tube, and I need two tubes a month, just about.**

Pros:

Really does cleap up skin!

Cons:

At first (and i stress only at first) skin becomes dry and flakey. But after a week, skin gets used to it and goes back to normal (soft and smooth).

Took up to 4-6 weeks to see complete improvement.

PLEASE BE PERSISTANT! Do not give up! The dryness does go away and spots do disappear if you give it time (about a month). I am 21 now but never had spots during puberty. Then when i became 18 i suddenly started getting big red sore spots (inflammatory acne) and it got worse as time went on. Ive tried many things, but this is the only thing that keeps my chin clear! Im on antibiotics aswell but i need panoxyl to keep me completely clear (espescially before my period). Plus doctor told me using benzoyl peroxide helps prevent resistance to antibiotics therefore using them together is a really good idea!

Pros:

good for getting rid of spots, ive only used for a week & can see alot of diffrence, also skin is getting used to product, meaning less flakey skin & dry skin, much more smoother specialy when using moisturizer such as (my favourate) E45 cream.

Cons:

first 4days for me, i wanted to quit & giveup using panoxyl because the DRYNESS is unbeliveable & very FLAKEY plus alot of REDNESS, unless your lucky, just stick with it & i promise you will see results, after a week im very happy with my skin.

be consistent with panoxyl, dont quit on it even if you think the worst, (about scaring) it will improve your spots, & get rid of most of them, if you have mild acne, you will see results within a week like me. STICK TO IT.

Pros:

Fantastic for moderate adult acne on chin
Acne has now gone - I have continued to use BP morning and evening after cleansing with moisturising after.

Cons:

Did cause major irritation and redness of the skin - like having sunburn. Glad that I first used it over a long weekend! Just used Neotrogena Oil Free Moisturiser once panoxyl had dried. After 2 weeks, redness and flaking has gone leaving clear skin

Great stuff - you just have to get over the initial side-effects - this is the gel working. Would be better to start treatment when you can stay in the house for 2-3 days with no make-up and have the time to moisturise, moisturise moisturise!! Bought mineral foundation and concealer - used a light dusting of mineral powder. Skin looks much brighter and overall very impressed. Will keep using the gel.

Pros:

clears skin up extremely quickly, very very affordable at sites such as [link removed] triple pack for £8!!

Cons:

you need to follow the regimen closely when using this product, particularly the start off small n ramp your way up part as this product definately can burn and cause a lot of redness.

cheaper way of getting clear and works just as well as dans bp and a lot better than the oxy on the spot crap available in the UK.

Pros:

It really works. Better than proactive (only contain 2.5% benzoyl peroxide).. I am using 5%. I am also using Loreal as my toner

Cons:

Dryness of skin, but can be solved using a moisturizer (i'm using Olay)...

If you are hopeless.. then this is the best product for you...
