Pros:

It worked for the first month

Cons:

It really dried out my skin and then made my acne 10 times worse

It's not worth even trying. The cons are too much of a risk. It sort of worked on my face for a bit, but made my back acne horrible.

Pros:

None

Cons:

I used this product for a month consistently and saw no results-just dry skin.

The product was probably too strong for the face. I'm sure this would be helpful for body acne.

Pros:

Worked for the first day

Cons:

Cause redness, very drying and too much irratation.

I used this product for a week and caused so much irratation i broke out worse than i was before. Not a very good product, causes too much irratation, redness and dryness.

Pros:

Has started to really help with acne after a few days.

Cons:

Drying.

I've tried a lot of things lately. I used to use pro-active and then it stopped working. I thought I had become resistant to Benzoyl peroxide or something so I tried a lot of other treatments. I think all I needed to do was up the percentage of benzoyl peroxide. This is great.

Pros:

None so far

Cons:

Extremely drying, has made my skin itchy. smells bizarre

I have been using this product for two weeks so far and so far it seems to have irritated my body acne more than eliminate it. Going to use it for another week to see if there is any improvement.

Pros:

reasonable price, lathers good, that's about it.

Cons:

too strong, over-dries the skin, contains SLS, burns the skin

This stuff is WAY too drying. I don't even have sensitive skin and it left me looking like a burn victim. I believe it's the SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) that over-dries the skin. I'd recommend using a SLS-free face wash with benzoyl peroxide in it. Oxy is a better choice. Even the 2.5% panoxyl is too strong. I use Oxy which has 10% benzoyl peroxide and it doesn't dry my skin out like this stuff.

Pros:

Clears skin
1 bar lasts long time
Cheap

Cons:

Drying

This is all I use for acne management. I thought I had tried everything on the market for acne, but could never get rid of my cysts. Well, one day I went to the urgent care for pink eye, and while I was there the doctor saw my face and just wrote me a script for acne. She also said to wash with benzoyl peroxide. Needless to say I tried the bar. For having a sensitive face, my skin does well with this product. I occasionally get the one cystic acne (especially during my cycle) but it is not all over my face as previously. This bar is drying so I only use it once every other day (and use a bar of Aveeno on my "off" days to remove makeup. It has caused my skin to itch at first, but that was quickly remedied by a good moisturizer (Aveeno Ultra-Calming). I use this bar in the shower to avoid unnecessary bleaching of clothing, and I pull my hair back also. I am greatful to the LORD ALMIGHTY to have a product that works so well. Rather than be fustrated I actually get comments on my clear skin from customers at work. btw for those of you who have noticed that this product is no longer on the shelves, I called the manufacturer and they are just switching plants, and it should be available again in or around September. In the meantime feel free to do what I did is called several Walgreens (or any store) and stock up!

Pros:

Wonderful product! Benzoyl Peroxide is the only thing that works on my acne. Being 39 years old, I find some of the Clearasil/Oxy products too harsh for my skin - this does not dry out "more mature" skin, nor does it sting or burn. Also very long lasting if you allow to dry out after using (don't let sitting in a wet dish)

Definitely recommended! Plus, you can find it at grocery stores and don't have to belong to a "plan" like ProActiv or MaxClarity.
