Pros:

My 16 year old son likes it because he can use it in the shower. It's not time consuming, just part of his daily routine.

Cons:

It's very drying, but that's easily remedied with Cetaphil moisturizer. It takes a couple of weeks to really notice the difference, so you have to be patient.

We've spent hundreds, maybe more than $1000 on prescription medications with little success. Panoxyl is a blessing for my son. His face is much clearer and he's much happier. I, on the other hand, have to keep telling the girls, "sorry, he already has a girlfriend." :-)

Pros:

Clears skin, gets rid of oilyness does what it's suppose to do

Cons:

Drys out skin a little.. Not for people with dry skin.

I used this product a long time ago after my couse with accutane. It kept my skin clear and kept the oilyness at bay. Best product i've ever used. Dermatologest recommended it. I didn't have to worry about going to a skin doctor ever again. Over the years I strayed and my skin is no bueno. So now Iam back on the one product that has actually kept my skin under control. I will update when as time goes on. So those with dry skin do not use this cause it will dry you out. And those with oily skin this should do the trick in controlling the oily and keeping skin clear.

Pros:

Has started to really help with acne after a few days.

Cons:

Drying.

I've tried a lot of things lately. I used to use pro-active and then it stopped working. I thought I had become resistant to Benzoyl peroxide or something so I tried a lot of other treatments. I think all I needed to do was up the percentage of benzoyl peroxide. This is great.

Pros:

Clears skin
1 bar lasts long time
Cheap

Cons:

Drying

This is all I use for acne management. I thought I had tried everything on the market for acne, but could never get rid of my cysts. Well, one day I went to the urgent care for pink eye, and while I was there the doctor saw my face and just wrote me a script for acne. She also said to wash with benzoyl peroxide. Needless to say I tried the bar. For having a sensitive face, my skin does well with this product. I occasionally get the one cystic acne (especially during my cycle) but it is not all over my face as previously. This bar is drying so I only use it once every other day (and use a bar of Aveeno on my "off" days to remove makeup. It has caused my skin to itch at first, but that was quickly remedied by a good moisturizer (Aveeno Ultra-Calming). I use this bar in the shower to avoid unnecessary bleaching of clothing, and I pull my hair back also. I am greatful to the LORD ALMIGHTY to have a product that works so well. Rather than be fustrated I actually get comments on my clear skin from customers at work. btw for those of you who have noticed that this product is no longer on the shelves, I called the manufacturer and they are just switching plants, and it should be available again in or around September. In the meantime feel free to do what I did is called several Walgreens (or any store) and stock up!

Pros:

Wonderful product! Benzoyl Peroxide is the only thing that works on my acne. Being 39 years old, I find some of the Clearasil/Oxy products too harsh for my skin - this does not dry out "more mature" skin, nor does it sting or burn. Also very long lasting if you allow to dry out after using (don't let sitting in a wet dish)

Definitely recommended! Plus, you can find it at grocery stores and don't have to belong to a "plan" like ProActiv or MaxClarity.
