Pros:

Extremely effective topical drug, argueably the the best topical drug for the treatment of acne

Cons:

Drying, redness and irritation which goes away after a week or two

Panoxyl 10% is a fairly potent topical drug, you should expect your skin to not like it very much, your skin will feel tight and dry, perhaps mildly itchy and slightly stingy. As i say, your skin won't like it too much but you will love it. The effectiveness against acne is profound. I have had treatment with many antibiotics, isotretinoin, other preparations of benzoyl peroxide and salycilic acid etc, without a doubt, with the exception of isotretinoin this is the most effective medication you will get. Noticable improvement from the FIRST use of panoxyl. This is definetly worth any side effects in my experience, my doctor suggested since i've been off it for a while that i start off with a weaker preparation and build up to 10%, I told him that I wanted to go straight onto the 10% despite any irritation. That is how good this medication is. I highly recommend it.

Cons:

can dry the skin out a bit for the first few days! i did use the product everyday for about two weeks before it started to improve but keep at it! do not give up and think it does'nt work because i promise you it does!

This product is amazing, i visited a dermotologist and they did not give me any products which helped they only made it worse, i then found this and my skin has since totally cleared up not even a scar is able to be seen!! this product is absolutely brilliant i would reccomend it to absolutely everyone who suffers with acne if i could its like a miracle cure!!

Pros:

It gets the job done pretty well if you are consistent in using it at least once a day.

Cons:

It does make your skin pretty dry but that is to be expected even with very oily skin like mine. All you need is a good moisturizer and you should be fine.

I've used this for over 5 years and have been very pleased. I've tried tons of anti-biotics, soaps, prescription drugs like Retin-A, and this has had the best effect with the least amount of side effects. Your body in time seems to build an immunity to anti-biotics over a year or two so that is no good. Regular soaps don't do the job and the panoxyl bar doesn't do enough either. Retin-A is just too harsh on your skin and makes it really sensitive to the sun making it burn and it also makes your face feel like a rigid mask, not cool. This panoxyl gel has been an awesome find and goes for pretty cheap. I've just started Dan's Regimen a couple of days ago since I wanted the best results from the panoxyl gel I'm already using and so far it is already making noticeable differences and it has only been a couple of days. This 1.5 oz tube usually lasts me around 2 months (give or take) when I used it once a day. It might be less now since I'm starting the new regimen.

Pros:

I use it for spot treating in conjunction with an overall application of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. It does a fine job for this purpose, giving the pimples an extra zap of bacteria-killing medicine.

Cons:

To bad it comes in a small tube, because I use A LOT.

This product is a smooth choice for a 10% BP.

Works well for the price. Don't start using 10% right away.

Pros:

Clears blackheads, whiteheads, small to large, over just a few days. I used it with my Clarisonic system and my skin was about 80% clearer in a week. I am using it on my back with a back scrubber and it's not working as well there for some reason.

Cons:

None really, wish it came in a larger bottle with a pump for convenience.

It works. I have very oily skin, congested, acne-prone, not sensitive, very fair. I am a 24 year old female.
