Pros:

Cleared Acne, smoothed skin, evened out complexion, cheap!
And effective

Cons:

None!

I have used baking soda with hydrogen peroxide for the last few weeks at night only as a short face mask right before I apply my toner and use my spot treatment. As of far it has been effective in removing my acne! At the moment I have one small pimple and thats about it! I am very pleased with the result and will continue using it :)

Pros:

Mega cheap, works half decent

Cons:

doesn't reduce for me

I have been using the water / baking soda combo fur about the past week, and i am seeing no reduction in pimples. There was a couple days i skipped using it and a break out came after that, so i know it was doing something, just not enough.

Pros:

Works very well and quickly. Fades marks and leaves skin smooth.

Cons:

Do not rub too hard. I have a tendency to really scrub because I'm a guy and thats what we do to be clean. Crucial not to scrub hard but gently. Scrubbing hard made marks worse.

Can't believe my marks would have started clearing so quickly if I just used this baking soda. It has been a week and it looks way better. I'm using cetaphil moisturizer and neutrogena razor defense in the morning. Baking soda in the evening. Btw, I'm Indian with a pale skin complexion so marks show much more.

Pros:

Super inexpensive, works like a charm, is completely natural to use, no harsh chemicals, can be found in any store, has multiple uses around the house, has a ton of other beauty uses, its been around for years

Cons:

Ok, yes it does burn a little...and may cause slight redness. Both are only temporary.

I must say I have been using baking soda for quite some time, before even discovering this page. It works like nothing I have seen before, honestly. I used it already as a tooth paste, antacid and for my hair...once I discovered you could use it on your face I jumped for joy. Its the best product to use IMO. Plus there isnt anyone lieng about it on TV. Every person here minus 2 or 3 has loved it as well, that should say enough. HOWEVER!! Do not use it as a mask!! Its not intended as a mask! Its intended as an exfoliator only. Ive been reading a lot of people here using it as a mask and those are the same people that have had bad results. Also, mix it with water!! Im going to try the peroxide though now that Ive read about it, but i KNOW lemon juice should be a NO NO, its an acidic irritant and not smart to use on already irritated skin. Worried about the real cost? It only costs a dollar at the 99 cent store and lasts for months. :) Good Luck!!

Pros:

it works really well

Cons:

it stinks like crazy lol

i did was take baking soda mix it with water and stir with my fingers. After 40 seconds i would dip my finger and rub it on my face in a circular motion. After that i would take benoxyl cream and rub it the same way like i did with the baking soda. Leave it on for the night then in the morning i would wash my face.

Pros:

Suuuuuper cheap, and doesn't smell like nasty chemicals (cough cough PROACTIV)

Cons:

Nothin' so far! :D Baking soda mixed with water does it all!

So, this is the first night I have used it, and I will tell you my face is less red, and my slight acne is lookin' pretty good! I have weird skin... I never break out on my forehead or nose, it's always my chin, or the left side of my face. Is that weird?? I only break out on one side of my face.. the other side is completely clear! It's really annoying because I feel like I have to hide that side of my face, and I hate trying to hide it with makeup..I want it to go away forever! Okay, ladies... DO NOT BE FOOLED BY PROACTIV. I have never been so disappointed with an acne product... and I want to punch Jessica Simpson in the teeth every time I see her Proactiv ad. Dumb lying blonde! Someone paid her to support Proactiv. Really, use baking soda instead. You will get better results!!!!!!!! And save $$$$$$, who doesn't want that?

Pros:

Great

Cons:

non

This works great, been using this as a scrub for ages. Only thing that cleared up my Eczema. I have super dry skin so I add 2 small drops of Olive Oil to help moisturize. Scrub softly, rinse and set to go. The tingling sensation is normal, almost all of those expensive products that dont work makes your skin tingle or burn a little too. Started working right away.
