Pros:

skin seems to be tighter, pores r smaller in T zone ( which is my oily area) blackheads on nose r less noticable. skin feels soft... very affordable

Cons:

none so far. ... I never experienced burning at all, but I only made a paste with water, and after washing makeup off with face cleaner, applied the paste, gently rubed in circles and rinsed off..

If u have oily skin, like me - especially around T zone - it seems to be helping ALOT... my pores seem to be reduced.. I never apply moisturizer on T-zone, only on my neck and cheeks.. and that part isnt even drying out... My face is really smooth..... I am really impressed with this so far. and I am just wondering, WHY DIDNT I COME ACROSS THIS INFORMATION SOONER.! so i could have tried it as a teenager...

Pros:

I noticed less whiteheads the day after I used it. Baking soda works better than any other acne treatment that I have ever used.

Cons:

When you're mixing it together, it does get a bit messy. However, it's really easy to clean up.

This treatment is so much easier, more affordable, and more affective than any other treatment I have used. I have tried so many products to clear my acne, and they seemed to have worked for a bit, but eventually stopped working, or I didn't have time to go through all of the steps of the systems. Now, I just hope that this will keep working for me!

Pros:

Baking soda is really cheap. It really faded the black spots. I like it alot. yes I agree my skin got really dry. But I just applied a light face cream.

Cons:

Hum no cons

This is a cheap way to help clear skin. I will admit if your acne is really severe, I am not sure this will work. But use a litted wated and make it a paste I let it set for about 3-5 min and rinse my skin was really smooth in the morning.

Pros:

cleared up my skin very well.

Cons:

slight burn, but not too much that you should worry about

I always thought this was just some fake scam type thing, but then when i really used it, it worked wonderfully. I had acne all over my face and a decent amount on my chest, and when i put the baking soda on, it cleared up the acne much faster than any product given to me from my dermatologist. BE SURE TO PUT MOISTURIZER ON AFTER!!!!! skin dries out.

Pros:

Cheap, feels good

Cons:

Burns like hell when you wash it off. But after that its awsome

I just heard about this today and decided to try it. Below are directions. (Try at your own risk) - Dampen your face with warm water - Mix a 1-2 tablespoons of BS in a cup or bowl with a little water, you goal is to create a thick paste. - Apply liberally to your face or areas you want to clear up - Allow the paste to dry on your face for 5 minutes or so, (This is when it will start to burn) - Rinse your face and prepare yourself for the last burn. I did this in the shower, a lot easier. - Rinse with cool water if needed and apply medication (if you have any) - Enjoy a smooth face

Pros:

cheap, fades scars, smoothes skin

Cons:

can be drying

experiment a little to figure out the right ratio for your skin. If it stings alot, mix with more water. If it's drying, leave it on a shorter amount of time, and moisturize afterward. I have relatively oily skin, and leaving this stuff on as a mask is VERY drying, even for me. However, using as a cleanser works very well. Scars began to fade after only one week, and helps minimize pores. I'm very pleased.

Pros:

Very powerful exfoliation, reduced size of blemishes, improved skin tone.

Cons:

Can burn a bit.

After using Baking Soda only ONCE, I already saw a dramatic reduction in the size of the blemishes that were currently on my face. My skin tone seemed to look a bit better, it appeared less dull. My skin felt sufficiently exfoliated and clean. It felt soft, but not moisturized (there is a difference)- so I would definitely recommend a moisterizer afterwards, to replenish the skin. This is a VERY powerful way to exfoliate. All you need to do is mix a bit of Baking Soda with some water until you get a paste; then, take the paste and gently massage it all over your face. When you're finished, be sure to rinse thoroughly. Those with sensitive skin, or those who may have damaged skin from using harsh treatements, should take caution when using this, as it may burn/sting.

Pros:

Your skin feels fresh and tight!
Very cheap and easy to get your hands on.

Cons:

Nothing so far

Just mix less than a teaspoon full of bicarb of soda into your cleanser. I'm using Cetaphil at the moment -it doesn't dry out skin and is great for sensitive skin users. Then gently glide the mix over your skin. I've only just used this from yesterday but I'll try the water and baking soda and see how effective that one is. I haven't used it long enough to see it's effects on my acne but I'll post later on in my blog. Hope it works for you!
