Pros:

clears up pimples fast, seems to bleach those red marks left from acne very quickly, leaves skin very smooth and polished.

Cons:

when i first used it it stung a lot. i got scared and washed it off with water and had a slight rash. about 10 minutes later my redness and rash went down, and my spots had dried up.

i used this as a paste with water, and after the first use, your face gets used to the sting. first i use it as a spot treatment for a few minutes on active acne and acne prone areas (which is around my mouth), then i put it on my whole face as a scrub and wash it off gently. then i follow up with BP wash 5% and moisturise when my skin is dry. has worked realy well for the three days i have been using it!! it feels like a miracle cure!!!

Pros:

Cheap, Effective Exfoliant

Cons:

Must get mixture just right; will need add'l steps to regimen

This is not a miracle cure, but it is a good natural way to exfoliate without getting all the additives or harsh materials store bought stuff gives you. Get the mixture just right or it will either be to granular or not effective, I have been doing for a couple of months and can now just eye-ball it. It's about a 2 to 1 (BS to water) mixture. Be sure to "massage" it into tyour skin, don't rub/scrub or your skin will get irritated.

Pros:

Cleared up the black heads on my nose and chin a little after the first use, and almost completely when I used it again. I haven't gotten any new pimples since I started using it, and my old ones seem to be drying up faster than usual.

Cons:

It is a little drying (as a lot of people have already said). Just make sure you moisturize afterwards. (I like to use lotion with jojoba oil mixed in to get the moisture back into my skin -- feels great.)

Why not? It's cheap, and, so far it seems to be helping. I've tried A LOT of products, and oddly enough, baking soda seems to be working more quickly and more affectively.

Pros:

clean
smooth complexion :)

Cons:

slight burning/redness
(both temporary)

be careful not to use too much, and DO NOT use baking soda as a mask. instead use it as an exfoliant couple times a week and/or a spot treatment rather than on your whole face. it is a poweful cleaning agent , so dissolves dirt and oils. shrinks and dries blemishes.

Pros:

Soft Skin

Cons:

Minor irritation

I have only applied it once, 15 minutes ago. I did about 2/3 baking soda 1/3 water. It was too watery so I basically just poured most of the liquid out and used my finger to mix it into a 'paste'. After I made it I rubbed it onto my face and left it on for 15 minutes, rinsed and dried my face. My face was less red on spots and my face was drier. So far after 10 minutes of use its better than proactive. Proactive is a scam IMO. With this you only need one item instead of 4 things to make the process work like the acne kits being sold.....also with a couple bucks you have like 2 years supply of this if it works for you. Will post after a week of use for better results.

Pros:

Very cheap and multi-purpose

Cons:

Can be a little drying

You should give it a try its super cheap and you cant beat that.I actually use it as an exfoliator.Just mix it with a little water but be sure not to scrub hard. You only need very mild scrubbing action lets not even call it scrubbing. It leaves my skin very smooth it does dry but just moisturize & you'll be fine.Give it a try you definently don't have any money to lose.Oh and put some in your bath it will soften your whole body.

Area was a bit red for a while

If you have blackheads, especially on your nose.Make a thin paste out of Baking SOda and Water and gently rub onto the area with a wet cotton ball. Rinse off and repeat if desired. =)

Pros:

Affordable, completely refreshes, natural exfoliate, and clears all blemishes within 3 days.

Cons:

Slight tingling sensation.

I would highly recommend for anyone to try this idea. I have only used it for one night, and have seen more dramatic changes than with any other acne product I have ever used. I have even seen an dermatologist on several occassions, got the prescribed medications and still haven't seen amazing results like this. Advice to those with the redness, when applying the paste to your face, don't rub it in and the same for washing it off, it only irritates the skin therefore causing the redness. GOOD LUCK!

Pros:

It works for me! I spot treat, and it made my pimples smaller, and some dissapeared within a few days! I have small fine pimples on my cheeks, and baking soda plus hydrogen peroxide mix works best for me.

Cons:

It might burn or tingle a bit...but I like it! At least it feels as though its doing something!

I tried using the combination of baking soda and water, but his didn't cut the mustard. I read that other people mix it with hydrogen peroxide so I tried this, and it works much better. If you spot treat, it will reduce swelling and get rid of those buggers within a few days. I find that it didn't work so well on my existing pimples, but the 'fresh' ones didn't stand a chance! This stuff really works. I'm quite amazed. I usually make a paste, not too thick, and apply it to my face, while rubing it in a bit. I have found this rubbing tends to dry out my skin some, but its far better than having a nasty zit on your face! I've also started washing my face with baking soda and warm water, and this reduces existing white and blackheads. Acne is not fun to deal with, and can make you feel really crummy alot of the time, but don't sweat it. Give it try. I really hope this helps alot of people out there.
