Pros:

Great for exfoliating, cleansing, and controlling oily skin! Does not burn. My face started to glow. Looks brighter. Spent under $2.

Cons:

none

Major oily skin. I tried tons of products and guess what works the best? BAKING SODA...! OMG!! Why did I have to suffer with cystic acne for so many years. Seems like it never ended. Just washed my face with cleanser, used baking soda in the evening, but did not leave it on for a certain amount of time. Just rubbed it gently on face and rinsed it off. Used vinager (regular). Let the vinager dry and used aloe vera next. Finally, I put the moisturizer from the acne kit and voila! My face started looking cleaner and less oily with in a week! Face is still healing. But looking better than ever! No more cystic acne...wehoo!

Pros:

It's cheap, it cleans blackheads because of the granules, and I have oily skin so it really helps to clean my pores out. After washing my face I feel like my skin can breathe again.

Cons:

(I've never found that it stung, but I massage the baking soda & water mixture very gently into my skin)

Cheap. Effective. Just don't SCRUB your face with it, and you'll be fine. Plus, baking soda is antibacterial and zits thrive on bacteria.

Pros:

Great! Cheap, smooths skin, gets rid of blackheads (if you use the steam method and then use baking soda right after), clears skin, makes your skin look and feel pretty healthy.

Cons:

Leaves your face sort of dry, so you must use lotion right after.
Stings when you dont make it PASTY!! (You must mix it in your hand with a bit of water so that its pasty first, dont just put it on your face like an idiot)
Gets Messy.

it's cheap and it works...just lotion your face right after, and make sure you mix it with a little water, enough to make it pasty.

Pros:

Is natural, leaves skin soft, clean, lightened dark spots, my sudden adult-after years of no skin prob- normal, again.. acne gone in few days- NOW FACE IS PH BALANCED & NOT DRIED OUT WITH PAINFUL MILD ACNE BREAKOUTS!

Cons:

none -WISH TRIED CONSISTANTLY, SOONER

My skin steps. 1- wake up, wash face with my "equate"brand (like nutrogena) saliclylic acid face soap with warm water & a face scrb pad- lightly scrub- NOT harshly. RINSE. DRY with CLEAN tissue-not used towel! (believe it or not,i used to useany towel..it used to not matter,tho..) 2. then i uses my face astringent, with about 45 % alchohol denat init, (like sea breeze- read ingredients- alch. denat lightens & heals scars for me!) use on a clean cotton. let absorb & dry in skin. 3 i write my goals for day, as this is working on skin...then i go rinse face..dry with clean tissue.... 4 AND THIS IS WHERE I PUT MY "BAKING SODA & WATER" (ALREADY MIXED & SITTING IN A LITTLE PUMP. pUT IN HANDS, APPLY ALL OVER FACE & NECK-WHERE EVER BREAK OUTS ESPECIALLY. I DONT GET IN EYES AREA. ***LET DRY- ONLY TAKES A MIN OR TWO!! THEN MAY START TO TINGLE- BURN...NOW, JUST RINSE. DAB FACE WITH CLEAN TISSUE. AND APPLY YOUR SUNBLOCK/FACE LOTION. I HOPE THIS WORKS 4 U!! I BELIEVE I

Pros:

I dont not have bad acne but have been having breakouts frequently,I have been using baking soda for 4 nights only and already i see an improvement,it seems to clean the skin better, i have stopped pinching my pimples

Cons:

I am not sure what the long terms effect will be since baking soda is acidic,i've heard that it can darken the skin and i an Indian with a fairly dark complextion.

It's cheap and has made my skin feel better than the Dermalogica face wash ( and other verrry expensive items ) i've been using. Go ahead and give it a try, i doubt you regret !!!!!

Cons:

Stings, makes skin more red and very sensitive. Normally I don't have sensitive skin but this did not feel good! My skin was very red and is still red a day later. Made the small break-outs I had way worse.

I would not use this again. Way too harsh on my skin.

Pros:

Cheap! Multi-purpose, other household uses. No smell. It works!

Cons:

Dries skin somewhat if used too often. Can sting for first uses.

I've read reviews where it's used as a mask, but having tried it as a mask and as a scrub....I find it most effective as a scrub. Sometimes I add it to a mild cleanser too. Or best if used after cleansing. The trick is the right about of water....you want it 'scrubby' but also moist enough to be able to work it over face. Don't rub too hard! Just lightly rub and circle over face. Leaves skin deep down clean, oil free and smooth.

Pros:

It Works and its a cheap face cleanser....I have very oily, sensitive skin prone to breakouts and have tried every product possible and this is the only one that I can say really works. My skin is clear.....

Cons:

None really...Could get drying so use a moisturizer and you'll be ok.

I have very oily, sensitive skin prone to breakouts and have tried every product and this is the only one that really works and keeps the skin clear. I am very pleased with the results....After I cleanse with the baking soda I use a homemade toner..made from herbal Chamomille Tea and Neutrogena moisturizer for Sensitive Skin and my skin looks great....

Pros:

Me and my bro found we liked it, the reason it works is because baking soda makes things rise to the top so it helps all the crap come out of pores. baking soda also works if you have a bee stinger stuck in you ot splinter stuck in your skin.

Cons:

It flakes all over on your carpet and it really hurt my sister. She started crying and ran to the bathroom to rinse asap.

Use it if you dare.
