Pros:

Has some effect.

Cons:

Very messy and difficult to apply.

It won't work in the long term, but if you put some on before you go to bed, when you wake up you'll notice a difference. It makes your acne spots lighter and smaller.

Pros:

Natural, Cheap, Effective

Cons:

Can really irritate you if you scrub too hard! Make sure to moisturize afterwards too.

I've used this for over a year now, day & night, and its been the BEST TREATMENT I've ever tried. Make a light scrub/masque and leave it on for 20-30 minutes once a day. Then make a small paste at night and use it to dab on spot treatments to sleep in.. (make sure to change your pillow case everyday because it will be messy!) but it works wonders in the morning!! I absolutely can't live without this now! I have 4 huge boxes in my cabinet, stocked up for the next few months already! Try it! But remember to go gentle at first!

Pros:

It gets rid of my pimples and other blemishes, and it also got rid of redness and gave my skin a shine- Also, its easy to make (just mix water and baking soda to form a paste and spread it out on your face) and only takes 5 mins. once a day !!! :)

Cons:

overall there arent really cons-
-it has a funny taste (as other treatments do)
-and a slight tingly feeling ... but nothing to complain about :)

IT WORKS WONDERS FOR ANY SKIN TYPE!!! YOU SEE GREAT RESULTS IN DAYS!!! TRY IT, TRY IT, TRY IT!!!

Pros:

Cheap !

Cons:

abosolutely nothing !

I'm 15 years old and I've been stuggling with acne sinse I was 9 years old ! I've tried Pro active and it didn't make my face any better, infact it made it worse! I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on products that made my face worse all these years when I could have been using baking soda for 1.00 ! I highly recommend this. I have very very sensitive skin and it makes your skin soft, rejuvinated and brings up your self confidence. So trust me on this one and try it out, what are you waiting for?!

Pros:

Most DEFINITELY tightens skin and reduces pore size. I also noticed that it forced a large pimple on my chin to become flaky and this pimple is no longer swolen.

Cons:

Somewhat removed the lustrous shine from my face. I could see where it could be drying.

It's definitely worth a shot. I have only used this once so far and I plan on using it maybe twice a week as an exfoliator. I just recent started the Regimen recommended on this site, and my skin needs exfoliating. Like everyone else has said, it burns a little but it's worth it.

Pros:

I love it, my skin feels great!
I put it in an old cinnamon spice jar so I can shake it into my hand anytime I wash my face. Just make sure you recap it and don't use a season salt jar unless you want your face to smell like that!

Cons:

Don't leave it on for too long or it will burn. You can take a break for a couple of days if you overdo it, otherwise just exfoliate and rinse. I swear by it, so just consider this con a warning label :)

I started using baking soda when a friend recommended it a couple of years ago. I had really bad acne for about 10 years and now it's pretty much gone. I just wish I had figured this out before I spent a bunch of money on other products that just made it worse or didn't work at all. I highly recommend it, just take it easy at first. You can make it into a paste and leave it on for a couple of minutes, but you can also gently exfoliate with it and wash it off immediately, at least until your skin gets used to it or as a daily regimen, depends on your skin. Thing is, baking soda has an alkalinity of about 8.5, so just like a weak acid, it can burn if left on for too long.
