Pros:

-Didn't overdry skin.

Cons:

-Made my skin breakout worse than it had in years
-Very Expensive

I do not recommend this product. I was on it for 7 weeks and it continuously made my skin worse. I have been off of it for 2 weeks now and my skin is STILL worse. Some of the pimples it created have been on my face for over a month and will not go away. I only had moderate acne at worst, and now I have big pimples that I have never had before. I was so disappointed because I really thought this product would work.

Cons:

just try it, you never know what will work for you. This worked wonderfully for me so I absolutely recommend you try it!

Pros:

Almost completly cleared my skin in about one week!!! No drying so no moisturizer (whoo!)

Cons:

You don't get much for 30 bucks. But I'll pay whatever the price is for clear skin

This stuff has changed my life! I've tried benzaclin and it was too drying. Then I tried ziana, ugh I cringe when I hear that name. I was in hell for about 5 weeks on that thing! I broke out worse than I ever have before and made my face extreamly oily! I wanted to through it out the window! I didn't want to go anywhere and I cried when I looked at myself in the mirror. Anyways... I was switch to finacea and I saw dramatic reasults in 3 days! Yes, I said 3 days. I went from a whole big pimpley mess to very tiny black and whiteheads that I can deffinatly deal with in about one week! I know this stuff will clear up the rest in the next few weeks. It doesn't dry out my face nor does it make it oily. I love it. I never thought that skin would clear this fast and mine did! TRY IT!!!!! It's my god sent cream I tell you. I would reccomend it to anyone who hates topicals like ziana!!!

Pros:

cleared up all acne on my nose and forehead. It didnt irrate my skin at all. It also prevented breakouts.

Cons:

never had any problems! I absolutley love this product.

Great product! I started using Azelex abouta year ago, and i havent seen a zit since! It doesnt bleach your skin like BP. My skin gets very dark in the summer, and this is the first product that hasnt caused any kind of discoloration in my skin. Also it was easy to apply and works anywhere you have acne! Overall great product. :)

Pros:

- actually clears your acne
- smooth skin
- cheap

Cons:

- it took a few months to see results
- cheek acne hasn't completely faded (yet)
- need to put it on consistently even after your acne has gone.

So, I started using the QV range (a brand based in Australia) and although my skin was looking lovely, I still broke out occasionally. So I e-mailed the company my thoughts and the lady recommended me their product Azclear Action Lotion -- I think their other product is AcneDerm. Anyway, so I started using it and at first nothing happened, then I broke out (it was looking pretty horrible and I was feeling somewhat depressed as my initial skin was clearer than my then-current skin. But I stuck to it and eventually I found myself with a blemish-free forehead. My cheeks are; however, slowly recovering (and the marks are fading!). I want to try putting on my nose but I really don't want to live with a pimply nose for a few months. I'd rather deal with the occasional pimple (and attack it with benzoyl peroxide). I am worried, however, of the long term side effects as I find myself begin to break out if I stop using this. Maybe I'll try to wean myself off it... BUT, it is definitely worth it in comparison to benzoyl peroxide as it does not bleach clothes nor does it make your skin dry - (just apply a moisturiser after use).

Eh
I certainly do not recommend this product! Before starting I would get a few pimples on my forehead but after using Azelex I have now had pimples everywhere. I also noticed a lot of whiteheads while using it as well as no improvement in my scarring. Please don't be discouraged by this review but be warned!!!! This didn't work for me but it might work for you, remember to never give up and stay persistent!❤️

That's called purging. How long did you try it for?

Pros:

One of the only acne treatments you can use whilst pregnant / trying to conceive

Cons:

Topical is less convenient than tablet options- makeup application over this is less good than over a primer

I came off the pill to conceive and my teenage acne that I left 10 years behind me reappeared! Because I was trying to conceive there were very few options open to me- I took erythromycin but added this to my regime and it made a big difference. I wanted to recommend this to anyone in the same position. It stings a little but no redness or peeling and should be used twice a day for max results. Im hooked until I can start back on Dianette! Also- maxfactor 24 hour concealer is brilliant for spots.

Pros:

Have been using for over 10 yrs! Wonderful product. Absolutely no side effects as others describe. Purchasing it as axelex in the US and skinorin in Italy, phenomenal ! I have tied the product from Mexico without success. I am a medical, professional specializing in non surgical medical treatments and enhancements and this product has consistently preformed the best in my clients!

Cons:

Non

Give it time. In chronic or acute acne, you will always get worse as the product lifts what lies beneath to the surface. Once that occurs, you will begin to see improvement! Tip: Wash your face well am and pm and apply. Go to bed with a dirty face.... Live with your acne! Best of luck!

Pros:

Clears up most, if not all acne.

Cons:

Burns a little (probably a sign it's working), if you skip a day or two, you see negative effects.

I tried everything, including a 6 month course of Accutane, which when concluded my acne resumed. I use Retin-A at night and Azelaic Acid in the morning and believe that this combination has cleared my skin completely- a wonderful solution to an Accutane follow-up treatment. After the first week of Azelaic Acid use, my acne worsened quite a bit. I was advised by my dermatologist that this would happen- it always gets worse before it gets better! He was right... it's a lot better! One downside: I went on a vacation which after some sun exposure, I stopped using the acid for a few days to let the sunburn heal. I noticed acne returning almost immediately. Maybe acne returned as a result of the sunburn which also might not have accured if I was not using this medication. The cream will also make you very sensitive to the sun. I would recommend a very strict routine and minimal sun exposure. Overall, I love this stuff.
