Pros:

A miracle drug! Works FAST! One application took my skin from a hot crazy mess to almost clear! Tighter pores, vanishing pimples, just an overall reversal of many types of acne. It kills acne on your face, instantly!

Cons:

None so far

There's no need to suffer the daily misery of bad skin when this drug is available! I'm almost 39 and had never experienced such terrible outbreaks. My Dr. rx'd finacea and within one application, my husband noticed my skin was "pretty, the way it used to be". This is a miracle drug that treats hormonal break-outs and all sorts of acne. I was able to attend a party that I had declined because I was too embarrassed for people to see my skin. I can't believe one gel can accomplish all that it does. I've used all sorts of treatments and this is BY FAR, the best! My skin was a sickening, grotesque mess from my hairline all the way down to my neck and finacea radically changed it in one application. My entire face was full of acne, all kinds: whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, redness, bumps. Finacea knocked it out w/one punch. I'm still shocked. Finacea is amazing. I haven't had skin like this since I was eleven years old. I'm so thankful.

Pros:

Clears acne and helps with oily skin it is also so moisturizing that my daughter doesn't need to use a moisturizer with it and her skin is extremely sensitive and very very dry to the point that i had spent a fortune at sephora in moisturizers.

Cons:

Absolutely none she says sumtimes it itches just a little but is gone after a few minutes and thats only happened a couple of times.

My daughters face is soooo clear shes thirteen and i was spending so much money trying to get her skin clear again. She uses Korres White Tea cleanser from Sephora and Azelex cream in the morning and night. Her face started clearing after a week of using the azelex cream before this she had used proactiv, clearogen, cosmedicine, ddf, erythromycin and nothing worked at all. This is truly a Miracle Cream!

Pros:

My skin looks 3times better than before

Cons:

Sometimes very itching and irritating.

I have found that now when i wash my face is cold water before applying that it helps with the burning, most people wash with warm water leaving the pores open and more prone for burning.... My skin looks great I kid you not I have tried everything and even the dark spots are disappearing. I use this in conjunction with a glycolic toner from Dr. Milton Moore in Houston TX... It helps trust me... Get any glycolic product and use during day WOW is all I can say

Pros:

great at fading dark spots
great at controlling oil

Cons:

none!!!!!!! (i wouldnt dare complain about the price- i paid 100.00 bucks for it but its worth it).

i use finacea and it is amazing. i have the most hypersensitive skin in the world and ive searched for years for something that actually fades hyperpigmentation and does so without irritating my skin. my prayers were finally answered when i started using finacea. my spots are not completely gone but they have faded a lot and my skin tone is more even and radiant. it works really fast. i personally dont have the itching or burning that others have complained about. i love this product!! i will be using this for a long, long time. even if its just for maintenance reasons.

Pros:

gives you the feel of smooth skin, have yet to see the cons the azelaic acid supposedly gives to some people.

Cons:

mild burning irritation when applying to face.

Azelex was prescribed to me only a week ago because i have acne as well as keratosis pilaris. it looks and feels like a Retina-A type product, but has different results. Withint this short period of time that ive used I IMMEDIATELY felt my skin SO much smoother than i have ever felt it since i can remember. I naturally have sensitive skin that can dry real easy, but havent experienced any sort of those problems with this product. Its cliche, but i have tried every acne product out there from proactive, to retina-A, to IPL, to accutane and have never experienced any significant recovery (accutane stoped my breakouts though), but i have never had anything that made me feel so optimistic or have given me immiediate results like this after merely a few days.

Pros:

It works on my acne, makes my skin look much better in general.

Cons:

None for me, other than I have to see a doctor every year to get it. When I started using it 10 years ago, I remember it being a little itchy, but that was it.

I have moderate cystic acne, and this is the only thing that has ever helped it. Occasionally, I have not used it, and the acne always comes back. I always try OTC meds before I give up and go back to it.

Pros:

Lightens redness(VERY fast),reduces
inflamation

Cons:

A little itchy at first

I think it's just totally awesome. All around my hairline I started breaking out, really bumpy, but with Evoclin and Finacea It's pretty much gone. But if you have seasonal wheat or grass allergies(like me), it can be really itchy at first, 'cause azelaic acid is found in wheat and barley.

Perfect for sensitive skin, cystic acne legions are GONE
This was a GODSEND for me. I'm 20 years old and experienced my WORST BREAKOUT EVER about 5 months ago. Cystic, legion-like, hard bumps along my jawline and PAINFUL to simply wash. It would leave me in tears whenever I saw my face without makeup. My naturopath concocted a remedy of sorts, which included a variety of vitamins (some in large doses tbh), a diet change (started about 8 months ago), start of spironolactone (50mg daily) and birth control. I NEEDED something that would cure me at least topically, and I am so blessed that she prescribed this cream. For the first week, you will experience some irritation and stinging, but you will also see a noticeable change - within the first week!!! Here's the best part: no. flaky. skin. It will take time, but within three months your bumps will be gone. ALL SKIN IS DIFFERENT, but this was so amazing for me :) I no longer use this cream because my naturopath told me I could only use for three months, I've been off of it for just over three weeks. Chin area experiences minor breakouts, but I will survive. Forehead is clear, sides of face and jawline just have red scarring which will go away. :) :) :) :) :) :) Best of luck to all of you.

I'm surprised your naturopath was able to recommend this to you when trying to go natural route. Do you think it was a combo of both? Also good for under the skin bumps?

Pros:

got this under the NHS in england
doesnt dry out skin

Cons:

skin is greasy at times

i was prescribed this to fade my scars on my cheeks but i haven't really noticed a difference in that aspect. i have however noticed that it completely cleared my back acne and because it regulates cell growth, i dont get blackheads anymore! my skin is never dry and flaky anymore when i use this stuff at night so thats a definite plus. i'm not sure if its helping clear up pimples because i'm still breaking out on my cheeks!
