Pros:

it works! No dry skin, as with many other acne treatments; can be used during pregnancy; saw first results in a week, although doctor told me that it should take 8 week. I had sever cystic acnes and azelex helped anyway!

Cons:

I don't see anything that outweights the major results that I have got. I didn't even have any burning and itching that doctor warned me about.

I love it! Life saver!

Pros:

After just one night my deep zits started to heal and were no longer painful. Smaller zits (the kind that would probably turn into nasty little white heads) began disappearing. My complexion is smoother and less red/irritated!

Cons:

Slightly itchy when first applied. I use Kinerase Cream after washing my face w/ a gentle cleanser and let the cream soak in. If my skin were dry I imagine it would be worse. So - moisturize first!

The only thing that truly works for me is blue light therapy - but I was spending $250/month to maintain that treatment (at the derm's office). My skin looked perfect but it was pricey, so I let it go. I have a new job which means stress, and we all know what leads to: zits. I've tried every topical (Retin-A, clindamycin, NeoBenz, ProActiv, etc) and antibiotics, I won't use Accutane but was on the verge of snapping and getting it! My boyfriend told me about this product and I've been using it a few days and I've already noted improvement. I'm very pleased! One tube will probably last me two months and it's already inexpensive. A lotta bang for my buck. For me, it's a good supplement to getting the blue light every now and then.

Pros:

Very very good product; reccomend it to anyone with acne that bothers them. lightens scars and reduces pimples, you almost think that you have makeup on because everything has a reduced appearance.

Cons:

A prickly feeling after you put it on, but i didnt really bother me, but i guess it bothers others.

VERY VERY GOOD!!! TALK TO YOUR DERM AND GET A BOTTLE OF IT A.S.A.P!!!

Pros:

I haven't had any cystic pimples since using

Cons:

Burns like hell and itches. Been using it for 2 and a half weeks. Sometime it feels worst than others. And I started getting those whiteheads on my forehead and cheeks instead of cystic pimples now.

No cystic pimples! That is great! That means no more scars for me. I am getting those little whiteheads though instead. But I'd much rather have those than cystic. REally burns and itches. I'm almost thinking about stopping it because of that, way too bothering.

Pros:

It works!

Cons:

Initial itching but that does subside, takes a while for the effects to take place

I had tried everything out there short of Accutane but I continued to break out and have very oily skin. I started using this about 9 months ago and initially it caused ALOT of itching but that subsided after about a month. I still continued to break out for about 2-3 months after starting this but after that, my skin has stayed pretty consistently clear with an occassional breakout. It has also helped decrease the oiliness of my skin. Also previous acne scars are pretty much gone. The only thing is to have patience cause it really did help me!

Pros:

Gentle, VERY effective at getting rid of redness while it gets rid of acne and makes your skin at the same time look awesome.

Cons:

I honestly can't think of any...except maybe that it's a pain in the ass having to apply topicals...even though that doesn't really apply to Finacea...

If you need something to rid you of redness and acne this is a must...in conjunction with Benzaclin / Duac this stuff is amazing. In a weeks time you'll see absolute and significant results...but more importantly it makes your skin look new all the time...it's never dull and red... I love Finacea...best product i've used thus far.

Cons:

Pros:

red marks are fading, reduced break outs

Cons:

mild stinging and itching after application

My derm prescribed the Azelex cream applied in the morning with 100 mgs Doxycicline twice a day, stilling waiting for the insurance to approve the retin A for evening usage. My back is cleared up (hooray) my face looks so much better, I did notice a two new BIG blackheads which I generally don't have but I prefer that to the huge cysts!

Pros:

Helped clear alot when I first started using it.

Cons:

Burns like a SOB and is super itchy, for me atleast, also the result have kinda been declining. It seems like it wont let the pimple form but there is still puss or w/e under the skin that i can feel, and a red spot that is visible.

I dont believe there in one miracle cream that will work for everyone, but if this works for you great! It was working for me but mabey my skin has become imune.IDK.lol.

Pros:

Completely cleared up my skin (painful cysts) within two weeks and has kept it clear. Nothing has worked like this for me.

Cons:

The initial adjustment period. My skin stung and itched at first, but it was tolerable (and WELL worth the results) and with each use the stinging got less frequent and less intense and eventually went away completely.

Azelex is a miracle worker for me. It has really changed my skin. And I'd used Retin-A for a decade, oral antibiotics (tetracycline, minocycline and others), BCPs for years, benzoyl peroxide, AHAs, BHAs, etc. The only thing I hadn't tried probably is Accutane. Some (BCPs and Retin-A) helped a good deal, but I would still get painful cysts. Until Azelex. Miracle worker Azelex cleared my skin and kept it clear better than any other product I've ever tried. It has holy grail status with me.
