Pros:

Helped clear me up.

Cons:

Itches/burns a little in the early weeks of treatment. Not bad at all though. Its how I know its working!

This applied twice a day, as well as differin and nicotinamide oral, has cleared my skin 99% (27 year old male). Give that regimen a try. Took about 3 months or so, but I'm finally happy again.

are you still loving the finacea? have you noticed any sort of purging?
July 28, 2012

Pros:

Reduces inflammation
Kills acne
Gets rid of blackheads
De-clogs pores

Cons:

Slight burning sensation for a few minutes after applying
Dryness

I used to get these clogged pores all over my cheeks and temples that would result in scar-forming acne. I also had a thick formation of blackheads on my nose that would become infected and turn into whiteheads. This is the only product that has cleared my pores and prevented this type of acne. When I first started applying Finacea, I immediately noticed reduced inflammation on my active acne. Thereafter I applied Finacea twice/daily after washing my face. I also applied moisturizer 5-10 minutes after applying Finacea. It took about 4 weeks before I was happy with the result - now my skin is smooth and bump-free. I ordered my Finacea from an online Australian pharmacy (which doesn't require prescription) for about $25. Note: I still suffer the occasional whitehead from shaving, as I don't think Finacea is as effective at preventing this type of acne.

Pros:

Reduces redness caused by acne, rosacea, and PIH. Reduces acne breakouts significantly (severity and frequency). Leaves a nice matte finish.

Cons:

Can be slightly stingy if you put it on without letting your face dry completely first. Slightly drying but nothing a light moisturizer can't take care of. Very pricey if you don't have insurance (glad I have it). Need a prescription.

I'm very impressed with this product. It got rid of my mild rosacea pretty much the first time I used it. I don't even get flushed after I drink alcohol or eat peppers (my two biggest triggers) anymore! I've been using it for 2 weeks now (2X a day) and I've only gotten two tiny new pimples in that time and they have cleared up within a day or two. Also, I am really surprised at how quickly this product cleared my PIH... Marks I had on my face for months literally vanished within the first week of using it. This stuff is amazing, I just wish I had tried it sooner!

Pros:

Reduces red marks from scars/post acne marks.

Has a matte finish.

See slight results after every use.

Is clearing up my skin after a few weeks of use.

Cons:

Burns/itches... stick with it though and moisturize! Your skin will get used to it!

Makes your skin a little rough if you put it on before makeup (liquid).

These cons are nothing compared to most of the stuff I have tried. I really love Finacea.

I love this stuff! After trying many, many things for my red dark pitted acne scars and cysts this has made all the difference! I did see results overnight but it doesn't "clear" your face overnight if you have acne like mine. I am pale and this stuff looks very good on my skin. It has a matte finish and it reduces the redness. I have been using this product for a month now and have seen great results! I still have a ways to go but this cream has worked great! This cream does burn. It really burned when I first tried it. I had to keep using it though because I loved it so much. My skin got used to it after a few weeks and I am so glad I kept with it. I recommend 10-15 minutes after application putting on a moisturizer to ensure your face doesn't burn. I believe I dried my face out which caused the burning. I highly recommend everyone try this! Give it at least a month and I believe you'll like the results. Can't wait for this stuff to clear my face!

A Saviour for Me
I accidentally discovered Finacea after finally realising that my constant and worsening "breakouts" were actually pustular Rosacea, and reading up about the condition and treatments online (including here, thank you!). In Australia it is pharmacy medication but needs no prescription, and sells for only AUS$25, so I thought I would give it a try. I was a bit disappointed for the first few weeks as new pustules kept forming - some really nasty - but I persisted having read it can take 4-8 weeks to impact. Patience was rewarded. 8 weeks on and my skin is finally really settling down for the first time in years and almost blemish free. Pustules are few and much smaller and settle down faster. Most scaring is gone. I find a small amount of tingling but no major reactions. An absolute wonder!!!!

Pros:

-Dries out pimples more quickly than any topical I've ever used before
-Inexpensive under my insurance plan
-Doesn't sting

Cons:

-None

I dab a pea-sized amount on pimples as soon as I see the beginning of one and it works to visibly reduce them overnight.

Pros:

-Dries out pimples quickly.
-Makes your skin very soft.
-It works!

Cons:

-Itching/burning if your face is too dry before applying.

Best topical I have used. Awesome stuff. I feel like my breakouts heal quicker when using Finacea. Marks are vanishing. My skin feels awesome and honestly looked better after one use. I apply it twice a day, morning and night, which might be too much for some people. Make sure you rub it in well so you aren't left with white streaks on your face :) I would definitely recommend this to anyone ready for a change. It is AWESOME.

My Last Hope
So I started using Finacea last night after I stopped using Clingadel, which I was using for the past couple months but didn't really see any results. Now started using finacea gel, I hope my clears my acne up because I have been struggling with acne since I was 16, now am 22. I been through so many topical, antibiotics, and even two round of accutane, and nothing seems to keep my acne at bay. I just hope this will be the one that clears my acne once and for all!!!

Works, give it time

Finally a product that is working for my acne. After exhaustsing my dermatologists arsenal of topical medications, they gave this Finacea one last shot before putting me on Accutane. At first I wasn't pleased and didn't see much change, but kept using as prescribed (at night first for the first month, then morning and night since) and now at month 3, I have ZERO pimples. This is the first time my face has been clear in years. This cream has been a godsend.

Hi. I just asked my dermatologist for a prescription.  It is very expensive unfortunately,  but I'm getting it anyway.  I hope I get good results...I'm at the end of my rope with my face.
