Pros:

cheap, effective, simple to use, very portable and good for travelling, calms down pimples

Cons:

a little messy

I found that this actually softens my skin and isn't that drying. I use it alone (about 5 uncoated pills mixed with water) or add a little bit of honey or Cetaphil moisturizer for sticking power. Sometimes I add cinnamon which I heard is good for acne as (it actually stings). I leave it on anywhere from 5-30 minutes a few times a week then use it as a scrub while rinsing. You don't need to use facewash . Since using it, I've had very few large pimples or ones that come to a head. In combination with facials and some diet changes, I think my adult acne is finally under control! Maybe it's the change in weather, but I think my face is less oily too.

Pros:

Affordable

I've heard a lot about this mask. Previously I've crushed antibiotic pills for acne that my derm prescribed, as coated pills often drain the effects of medication when dissolved in your system. I prefer crushing the aspirin before adding water etc so it serves as a mask when you exfoliate it off your skin. I use the mask regularly but often don't see much of a difference. I'm hoping it kicks in in the long run though, considering all the great reviews. I have found that it is consistent is keeping pimples from getting worse, but doesn't really reduce the effects for me.

Pros:

Only thing that works!!!

Cons:

None, except flakes off and makes you sneeze

My skin literally cleared up in a day. My pores are smaller and my skin just looks cleaner. I have only tried aspirin and water. I only had moderate problems with my skin, but I had tried other products, including prescriptions and nothing has worked as well as this. Also, I have really sensitive skin and I have had no problems with irritation.

Pros:

It's cheap, effective, easy, and very accessible.

Cons:

It turned my face red and it has an unpleasant, grainy consistency.

I used this for the first yesterday. I was skeptical but decided I had nothing to lose. I crushed 6 generic, non-coated aspirin in a bowl and mixed it with about half a tablespoon of water. It made just enough paste to cover my face. It felt grainy and had an uneven consistency. Next time, I'll try to find another way to crush the aspirin. I applied the paste to my face and left it on for 10 minutes, as this was my first time and I wasn't sure how my face would react. I found the mixture hard to wash off, and when it was all gone, I still felt like there was a residue left. My face also felt dry. My face was very red and I could tell where the larger chunks of the mixture was because that area was more aggravated. I washed my face with my normal face wash, used my toner, and applied a moisturizer. My face felt softer after my normal routine and blemishes were smaller, but the redness remained for quite some time. If you're trying this for the first time, do it before bed.

Pros:

It's cheap. It's effective. I am a big fan. After years of spending $$$ on skin care products it's so refreshing to find something this good that's dirt cheap. Yay!!

Cons:

I think I need to buy a mortar & pestle to get the aspirin ground to a uniform consistency. I think the different sized chunks attained from hand mashing aren't great.

I'd venture to say this is an amazing product. I mix with Noxzema Blackhead cleanser and a little clay mask for hardening. I do it about 2-3x per week. I didn't have acne issues but I'm 42 so I don't naturally exfoliate as often as I'd like. This product has made my skin smoother, tighter (maybe the drying - LOL), cleaner, just all around better. Big thumbs up.

Pros:

Remarkably smoother skin! Definitely brings down the bumps on the skin. Very affordable!

Cons:

Process is a little tedious, and for a guy, it's a little demasculating... not sure how to wear 'masks' but it's like I can't move my head!
$7CAD for 100 no-name aspirins, $2 cotton swabs, $2 generic alcohol-free toner, $25 Neutrogena Anti-wrinkle

Gotta try this out! I will admit that I was pretty skeptical when I first read about it on a blog. But the results in the pictures were undeniable! Apparently, the active ingredient is being research heavily, mainly for gingivitis, and other topical uses (acne). What do you have to lose? I've read some good ideas here, and I'll let everyone know how the anti-wrinkle cream works... apparently Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle is good, cheaper than the "Clinique" brands... it's the retinol I think the blog said. I'm so glad that I've found something that works so well... the price is just a bonus! Needless to say, I will be cancelling my Proactiv subscription...

Pros:

i had moderate acne on saturday....i did the mask and the 1st time i did it, it was miraculous...all of the red marks faded, i was astonished....ive been doing the mask about 2-3 times aday since, and it definately works, but just not as much as the

Cons:

if you leave it on too long or do it too many times a day, it drys out your skin, its been about a week since ive been doing it and my acne went from about 75% of my face to about 25%

to counter-act the drying, ive been mousturizing the sh*t out of my face, but im going to go get some aloe vera and try mixing it in with the aspirin so hopefully that works....most things i try usually make things worse, and this hasnt so far, so hopefully i can be completely clear by next friday it does make your skin incredibly smooth tho

Pros:

skin is amazinggg afterward. it feels soft and FIRM.
really helps with small whiteheads
can be used as a cleanser too :)

Cons:

feels a little abrasive if rubbed in too hard
may not work the same way on all parts of the face
can be drying, but you can fix that if you put in a little honey

sooo. i've been using this along with zinc and milk thistle supplements and my skin has been looking hott. with two "t"s. ;) i dissolve four uncoated aspirin (coated works too, though the coating is annoying to smash up. get the uncoated kind at walmart for under a dollar. i use the smart health brand) in water to form a thick paste and add some honey. i don't think i would add the honey in the summer, but since it's winter, my normally oily skin is drying out like a beast. hehe. this should only be used as a mask when left on for an hour or two. i put it on after dinner and use it as a cleanser before bed. i tried it overnight, but it doesn't prevent new blemishes. i use acnefree toner and BP overnight. this has really helped my face. i had moderate acne before, but now i think i can say that it's mild. it hasn't helped my chest, though, which is sad, but i'm over it. hopefully not many people are staring at my chest anyway ;) hehe. so...bottom line? go
